Fauxish throws an elbow at the Kuru warrior as it charges past, but the fog throws off his aim.
Mikail Fog Concealment >20=hit : 1d100 ⇒ 100
Mikail dashes in with his rapier and stabs the other warrior in the side. Fauxish was still in a flanking position when your attack happened, so you hit, but concealment prevents sneak attacks.
Faerin Fog Concealment >20=hit : 1d100 ⇒ 99

Marduk Fog Concealment >20=hit : 1d100 ⇒ 20
Marduk joins the fight in a flurry of swinging axe blades and gnashing teeth on the Kuru facing Sahba. His first blow cuts across its belly. The second takes it in the chest. His teeth miss as the fog wisps past his eyes, but as it clears again he finds the warrior bleeding out at his feet.
Fauxish Fog Concealment >20=hit : 1d100 ⇒ 14
Fauxish swings a backhand at the other warrior, but again the fog prevents an accurate blow. Redirected your attack since the other was down.
Nectanebo's creepy creature rises and attacks, but cannot get its claws past armor into flesh.
Sahba throws another ray, but too many allies are in the way and it misses. -4 for soft cover and another -4 for enemy in melee.

The fog interferes with their vision and some lose sight of their targets and miss the chance to savor fresh meat. Fauxish, unfortunately, is bitten twice, and another Kuru bursts out next to Nectanebo's creature and completely smashes it back into inanimate remains.

GM, I have a question. You said in your post earlier that "Creatures within 15–20 feet from an observer have concealment (20% miss chance)" but you made us roll the miss chance even if we were 5 feet away from our enemies. Shouldn't we only have to roll it 15-20 feet away?

Mikail's Sneak Attack Damage : 1d6 ⇒ 5
The fog confuses the battle. Kuru scream, lunging in with teeth and club from the north and east. Fauxish's elbow cracks a skull and Mikail's blade sinks deeper. Fauxish takes a wound from one warrior and stumbles about, holding a wound. He nearly passed out, but manages to hold on. The warrior attacking Mikail gets lucky and sinks teeth into his arm.
Somehow the Kuru facing him has fallen, and isn't getting back up.
Fauxish, you took out one of the Kuru before it could attack. Regain 10 hp.
Mikail, you got hit. Take 8 hp damage. Also, roll your attack this round since there is no miss chance at close range.

Faerin swings her hammer, but the Kuru she faces ducks and she misses completely.
Marduk's axe fares better, putting a bloody gash in one of their arms.
Fauxish throws a strong kick, which disperses some fog, then connects with a jab that might develop into a bruise in time.
Nectanebo closes and slashes the warrior injured by Marduk, but in its wild rage the Kuru stays in the fight.

Sorry, I think it's far past the time for a reasonable retcon. You are not completely without resources, and on the plus side, this will be very exciting now!
Each Kuru carries a crude club and wears hide armor. You also find half a dozen trinkets - fanciful hand-sized shapes of twisted precious metal probably worth near 75 gp to a collector.
Just to the east you find their camp in a clearing, shrouded in shadows thanks to the thick jungle canopy overhead. A dozen makeshift beds of leaves and palm fronds surround a sickly campfire that barely manages to keep smoldering in the humid air. A few splintered bones and cloven skulls litter the clearing, and all show signs of being gnawed upon.
One more kuru is here. He sits motionless, vacant-eyed and drooling.

I WILL need to be making checks for this, though. At present, the only spells I can cast as though they're on my list is a limited range of Divination and Necromancy spells (this will expand as I acquire new Implements). Of course, the cure wounds spells ought to be in the Necromancy school, but that's not the way it is for some ill-considered reason....
