Sinus infections suck, Josef, feel better.

I would rather not put the wrong amount of GP into the loot tracker--given we're not very good about updating it, I don't want to accidentally give us more treasure than we have and look at it later forgetting the "accounting adjustment" we made. Given the math has been done I don't see the point of redoing it.

Rikar: even though your Fort save is good, I've noticed the one thing that has put you down at times is poison. A periapt of proof against poison is even more expensive than a lesser cloak of displacement at 27,000 gp but might be worth considering--it would replace your amulet of natural armor, though if Therena's okay with you having the tear that boosts AC then that somewhat makes up for it. Cheaper would be something that boosts your Fort saves or saves vs poison (and at that a boosted cloak of resistance would also do well. A belt of dwarvenkind could be kind of fun too, and give you darkvision). Misha can always cast displacement on you if you need it though of course it isn't as nice as just having it always on.

Speaking of the Sapphire tear: DRB, the notes on the tears say "bonus doesn't stack with anything." Is this true of the AC bonus as well? Otherwise is the AC bonus typed?

BTW I am swapping my ring of spell storing for the ring of chameleon power. Misha will hold onto the spell storing ring if no one wants it, but if someone has an empty ring slot and wants to carry it that's fine with me. Someone can also have her mithral chain shirt +1 but since there's a +2 mithral shirt also up for grabs I doubt anyone wants it.

I need to crunch some numbers but I know I'm at least thinking about upgrading my +1 sword to +2. If I have the funds I will also boost my cloak of resistance.

The last tear equipped will always negate any other priorly worn. So if you still had the Strength tear equipped and then equipped the Sapphire, you'd get the AC and not the Strength.

sorry for the delay, and thanks for recapping - there are definitely things on that list I missed somewhere along the way so it was very helpful.

Telman would like the +2 mithral chainshirt - he doesnt cast often enough that the 10% is going to do much harm. I might ask to keep the bracers of armor +4 until the next time we sell loot. If the chainshirt doesnt work out as planned I dont have to rebuy bracers, and if it does those bracers can become party loot next time 'round.

Other than that, Telman would only ask for 1 of the CMW potions.

Weapon upgrade is the next thing on his agenda, but it looks like it'll be a little longer to save up enough for that.....

Can we put the bracers on Latys? That saves a mage armor spell every day, and the kitty should be able to wear them I think.

According to this table, Latys can't wear the bracers, but maybe DRB sees it differently.

I've had a busy week and haven't sorted out Rikar's purchases yet. I would like to take the +2 AC tear, if that's okay with everyone else. That will free up the +2 Str tear. If no one else wants that, maybe Latys could wear it (or the Dex tear)? I don't think we've asked that question before.

Okay, this is what I see everyone has claimed; please correct if wrong. Josef, you didn't claim them, but I gave you the last two healing potions. Therena, I gave you the potion of shield of faith because you have the lowest AC. I "gave" Krieg the poisoned stuff and a hand crossbow because he was with us when we found them and he probably would have taken them. If people object to this we can put these items back into the to-sell pile.

I don't think it got recorded on the campaign tab, but Latys is wearing the copper tear, has had it for a few months. It's on her character sheet and reflected in her stats, I just forgot that when I posted earlier today.

On a broader note, I have been saying I'd take the tear we've been promised as payment, but that seems a bit greedy, since the alternative is we get 10000 gp, which we can split up and use to meet our various needs. Obviously, an untyped +2 to AC is hard to come by, but there are other things I could get, like a bump to my armor's enhancement or a dusty rose ioun stone. I do think I need to improve my AC, since as our primary (and often only) front-liner, my AC is not great. What do you all think?

In that case, Therena will not bother with the periapt. She doesn't really need a +2 attack bonus tear, and the money for the periapt (or somebody else who doesn't have an amulet and wants +1 to Will saves and perception) is better.

Therena, why don't you keep the periapt as backup even if you don't currently equip it. I have a feeling at some point we will figure out what these tears are for and at that point we will probably have to give them up, so a back up item that boosts your wisdom is not a bad thing to have.

I don't suppose someone else would be willing to do the math to determine the value of all the equipment sold? I shouldn't be generally trusted with numbers. Then we can finally figure out the rest of the gold we've got.

If I've done the math properly, by selling the various masterwork weapons & armor, and the un-selected magical gear as listed above, we'll get a total of

18,574 GP for our troubles.

That does not factor in the rod of the viper, and I did not double check the value for the dragon horde, but I believe it should be about accurate.

As for the 44 Drow Guards we smoked around post 5320, did any of them carry masterwork gear? If not, the sale value of their items doesn't make it worthwhile for us to carry the loot, but even if their crossbows were masterwork, that's 200gp/body after selling; a more valuable proposition.

Josef - thanks for mathing! I assume your total of 18,574 does not include the stuff currently listed in the tracker as 'Black dragon coins, art objects and gems,' since that came to 31,108 gp on its own, per Misha's calculations in this post.

Does that mean we have 31,108 + 18,574 + 8,800 (MW hand crossbow value) = 58,482 total to divide up? If so, that's a chunk of change! Perhaps someone can reality check that?

Adding in masterwork hand crossbows, that's another 8,800 gp value to split.

Edit: @Rikar, yes, those are for the guard patrols we dropped in the svirfneblin town & the big fight against the matron mother. Seems about right, especially seeing as we haven't come across real large treasure amounts in a while.

That's a little less than 10k / person, for what its worth.

I believe I edited the loot tracker to reflect the proper values, now.

Great, thanks. I tweaked the formulas in the tracker so that it only divides the loot amongst the five of us still in the game, so we each get 11,697 gp.

Read the last paragraph carefully. If you are carrying more than one tear, the are ALL suppressed. The only way to carry more than one is to have the "excess" tears in an extra-dimensional space, ie. Handy Haversack, Bag of Holding, etc.

I am done shopping for Rikar, have 6000 gp or so and was pondering things I could get for Latys. A Dex belt would be great, but she doesn't have a belt slot (unless it's for a saddle slot item). Could I throw an extra 1000 gp at someone to make a Dex saddle?

Got the cloak of resistance (about time, I think) +3, and some scribing materials for the old spellbook.

99% chance of meridian belt (I'm considering this like a +1 item because it's 1,000 gp?): 1d100 ⇒ 8

Huh, no short sword, huh? I could upgrade fiendfinder but I feel like Misha wouldn't because it was a historical find. Mmmm... would upgrading it ruin it from a scholar's perspective?

So, I am trusting the loot tracker to be correct:

I have 21,549 gp + my remaining total from my last pack 302.17 + sale of cloak of resistance +1 500 = 22349.17

Purchasing the following...

+3 cloak of resistance (9000)
potion of resist cold (300 gp)
meridian belt (1000 gp)

Leaves me with 12,049.17 so far...

(BTW with the meridian belt, she'll put the ring of spell storing on one of her toes, but currently ring of chameleon power and ring of protection will be active)

Okay, going to upgrade her never used but-just-in-case dagger and crossbow to masterwork (600 gp). I don't think we have to check for that.

And let's see if we have any potions of neutralize poison

99% chance for potion 1: 1d100 ⇒ 79
99% chance for potion 2: 1d100 ⇒ 88

So I'll purchase 2 potions of neutralize poison. This puts me at 9949.17.

Except I forgot to sell my +1 mithral shirt so then that puts me at 10,999 gp and 1 sp and 7 cp.

Once I figure out whether it's kosher to upgrade fiendfinder I'm good to go.

ETA: and whoops, I paid wizard prices for a ranger potion, so correcting that mistake, I have 10,399 gp etc.

Okay, done shopping.

For Rikar, I upgraded his cloak of resistance to +3, bought a +2 Str belt and upgraded his breastplate to +2.

For Latys, bought a +2 cloak of resistance. Will work on alias updates soon.

Also, I've updated the tracker to include post numbers describing what stuff each of us bought. I think I captured Misha's stuff correctly, but might be worth checking.

Okay, I've thought about it and I'm just going to upgrade Fiendfinder--a dwarven weapon wants to be used and stay useful.

Do we pay the full cost of a +2 weapon or just the difference between it and the +1 weapon?

Once I've sorted that I am good to go.
