@Papa: Is there any chance I could work on setting up an Aliens-esque drop trap with these industrious gnomes? I'm thinking of a mounted platform to hold 4 to 6 of these handcrossbows and their finely poisoned tips to use on the baddies. Either the gnomes can keep it as a gesture from Kreig (he has a particular fondness for gnomes) or maybe a mobile version with 2 or 3 crossbows I can plop down in a narrow hallway?

It would basically be a standing mount with hand crossbows fixed to it and their triggers linked so when a tripwire is hit, they all shoot at once.

Packed up and closed up camper for the winter.
Took grand daughter to Bronx Zoo Tuesday
Other than one post, spent the yesterday sleeping while recovering from the Zoo.

Other than a week off in December to visit relatives in Boston MA area, we are home till camping season starts in May 2017.....

Kreig last post was November 17th, over two months ago. He has not posted from his main ID either. Do I continue to bot him? or drop him?

Dropping is as simple as having him stay with the deep gnomes to help rebuild the city and cleanup what the drow have done. That would be after this battle. He would of course give up his "tear".

Wow, I knew it had been a while, but didn't realize it had been that long.

I say we put him in stasis for a while at the svirfneblin town, the rest of us can handle things pretty well I think. He's such a great, fun player, I'd like to be sure we give him a chance to return if we can.

Wow, I hadn't realized it had been that long. I thought he had posted since then but the datestamp is clear for all to see. Glancing at his other aliases it seems like he's disappeared full stop from the boards.

While I hope he is okay, a two full months' disappearance is more than enough time to allow, and I think it's time to move on. He's a great player but sounds like whatever job transition or whatever he was going through took more out of him than he was able to handle.

I agree writing him out to help the svirfneblin rebuild would be a good idea... and if he is able to return later and could show ability to commit again we could always have him rejoin. (Ninjaed by Rikar who said much of the same thing)

Misha's no Krieg, but she does have a version of trapfinding and some Disable Device trained up so she can fill in some rogue duties in a pinch. We still have 5 party members and an immensely powerful animal companion to boot so I don't feel like we'll suffer for the numbers loss--just suffer for the loss of a great character.

As far as allowing him to return, that would be easy, excepting the final dungeon level, at the end of the campaign. I would be ok with that.

If that happens again, Papa, you can (and could have) accessed the campaign by going to your campaigns tab. The direct link to the messageboards weren't working, but links to threads did, so you should have been able to get any threads you posted in from your Campaigns or Posts tab. I didn't even notice the problem until I was trying to access the boards for something else, because I usually go to these pages from my campaigns tab.

The Bonus does not stack with anything, and all Tears carried by a PC are suppressed if the PC has more than one Tear. When a Tear is placed in an extra-dimensional space, the Tear is suppressed.

Also, please level up to 14th level in preparation for descending further under the mountain.

Because I've been doing a lot of spellcasting and burning of my archeologist's luck, I think I will continue to use the Gold (Charisma) tear. As nice as many of the other tears are! If I ended up seeing more combat, I might consider one of the others, but I personally am good to go.

Looking at the list of tears, it occurs to me to ask: can Latys wear a tear? She'd do well with a +2 to Dex, and that tear is not being used.

HP: 47/47/47/47; AC: 15/9/14; F/R/W: +9/+5/+2

So Therena hits MT10 and gains spell synthesis (cast a cleric and sorcerer spell at the same time once per day). Anybody have any cool ideas for combos?

Things I was considering:

Summon monster spell from each class...instant army
Two wall spells
Multi buff (haste and blessing of fervour)

Sure, you can get a collar made in the Svernifblin town with the tear mounted on it and she can wear it.
