R2 vs Kolo: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 1 = 17 for 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 1) + 7 = 12
Oloch works to bring Jirelle back into the fight, while Adowyn fires off an avenging shot for Leryn that fails to find its mark.
On the bright side, as the two archers rain down two arrows at the hunter, both go wide and miss their mark.
@Adowyn: GM Tip - If you stand on the last square inside the mist, you can fire out of it without any penalty, and anyone shooting at you would need to roll concealment.
The raging barbarian appears to have reached his patience with Kolo, bringing his greatsword down hard into Shardra's companion (12 damage to Kolo). He then turns to Oloch and grins, the blood of many fallen enemies drenching his hides.
Round 4 Con't
8 Oloch : Heals Jirelle for 3
Round 5
23 Jirelle : Unconscious
20 Adowyn : Pops out of mist, misses with bow
20 Leryn : Stable at -3

Thank you! I considered that, but figured that if I had concealment, so would they. If someone could move me, I would appreciate it!
Dodging the arrows, Adowyn give the bowman a rude gesture before firing two more arrows from the edge of the mist at the barbarian wielding the sword.

I was kinda hoping I'd healed Jirelle to consciousness...ah, well
Oloch steps forward and swings his great sword at the human that brough down his companions

...but ends up waving his sword in the air a bit.

R2 vs Oloch: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 - 1 = 8 for 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 5) + 7 = 18
The Pathfinders perhaps get their chance to turn the tide of the battle as two arrows whizz past Adowyn harmlessly and Oloch sidesteps the barbarian's greatsword as it thuds mightily into the ground, narrowly missing slicing him in half.
Round 5 Con't
8 Oloch : Swings greatsword but misses

Jirelle the Swashbuckler |
Actually, if Oloch healed Jirelle for 3 hp, she now has 1 and is conscious!
Without rising from the ground, She stabs at the Kellid man's ankle with her rapier.
rapier: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 181d6 ⇒ 2
DM Panic |
Jirelle would've been up and active in Round 5 since Oloch did the healing in Round 4!
Her hit from the ground in Round 5 wouldn't have dropped the rager (he'd be at -15 in round 5 after that hit).
While it's likely he'd have hit Jirelle for 12 instead of Kolo in round 5, we'll maintain he still finished off the tuatara, being distracted by it and not noticing the prone Jirelle stabbing at his foot).
This would mean Jirelle needs to post round 6 and round 7 actions alike then. If she can hit for 3+ damage in round 6, she'll deny the rager any round 7 actions or presence, which could affect her or Oloch's round 7 actions.
DM Panic |
The hulking barbarian takes a massive swing at Oloch, which luckily for the warpriest goes wide.
Then... he realizes he couldn't have even done that.
He looks down at his stomach and recognizes a rapier sticking out from around where his navel would be.
As it slides out, he looks up at Oloch as if to say.
You're lucky buddy, you were next.
He falls down onto his fellow barbarian, furthern heightening the bloody pile of bodies.
Rager goes down.
@Jirelle: I imagine you stabbed then stood with a move action in round 6. Now take a round 7 action!
Preg |
Oloch thanks Gorum (and Jirelle) for his luck in this battle so far and moves up next to one of the archers as he sees the rager fall down next to the pile of bodies with the hole in his stomach Jirelle made
Double move, doesn't seem like I have a clear charge path..so just moving
Jirelle the Swashbuckler |
The smart move would be to lie down so as to make aiming at her difficult. But Jirelle is pretty much a glass hammer, so...
The swashbuckler whoops a war cry and hustls after the archers, trailing blood behind her.
"Don't worry," she assures them, "I haven't forgotten you!"
Rapier attack on eastern foe: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 111d6 ⇒ 2

W2 vs Oloch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 for 1d8 ⇒ 5
Adowyn's arrows go wide and Jirelle's rapier fails to find its mark on one of the archers.
Shardra would be up here prior to the 2 archers, and I imagine is firing her crossbow, which barring a critical hit would still mean the next NPC actions stay intact, so I'll advance ahead a little.
As Oloch closes, the two men seem to agree the half-orc with the greatsword presents a greater short-term threat that the hunter in the fog and concentrate their fire to little success (both miss).

~Shardra~ |
Round VII
Shardra should be at the northern mist edge now.
Shardra sticks her head through the mist and takes aim at W2. Her vision process still blurred, however, and she misses her mark.
Light Crossbow: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2
She pulls readies another bolt to try again.
Round VIII
Light Crossbow W2: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
Crit Confirm: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
She loads her weapon once more.
DM Panic |
As Oloch drags his greatsword down across the man's chest, he stumbles but manages to stand defiantly before Oloch.
"Fine then, we fight with..."
Just as he's drawing his longsword, a feathered bolt appears in his neck. He grasps meekly at it, working to continue his thought.
"Grr...ggll..." THUMP.
The warrior falls to the ground, leaving a lone Kellid standing and facing the four Pathfinders.
W2 down. W1 sill in play.
Still Up: Jirelle, Adowyn
Jirelle the Swashbuckler |
"Running now. Great idea," says Jirelle happily through bloody teeth. "Drop your weapon and run."
Jirelle readies an action to attack if the last archer does anything else besides dropping his weapon.
Rapier: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 241d6 ⇒ 6
Critical Hit Confirmation: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 131d6 ⇒ 1 Hit, no crit. Dang. Could've used the grit.
DM Panic |
The last archer looks at Jirelle and seems about ready to thwack her with his bow.
Then his eyes dart to his fallen companion, a mess of greatsword wound ripped up his body and finally the precision-placed arrow.
He then seems to slowly do some arithmetic where he compares one to four. This takes the Kellid several seconds to complete.
"Pah! I will tell my tribe of you invaders!"
He throws his bow sloppily at Jirelle and turns on his heels, running for the plains at full speed.
Assuming you don't intend to murder-hobo him, we can drop out of combat and wrap up Quest #4 - "Crash", which you have all successfully completed!
(And that includes Crowe, as I don't believe there's a major negative consequence for death on a pre-gen in a quest)
Preg |
I think Oloch would chase him down if you go by his personality of fight, fight, fight..but as a player I'm fine with letting the archer run. Looking forward to the next part..it was getting a bit scary there for a bit

In the weeks after events along the border of Numeria, Oloch picks out the next promising lead from Ulisha's journal, which talks about finding and selling an adhesive in the markets of Daggermark.
Having made the journey to Daggermark, you find yourselves making last preparations prior to heading into the Shroudwood and the location where Ulisha believes you are most likely to find the adhesive.

A tall lithe Half Elf saunters in and takes a seat as the group is discussing setting out on the next leg of their mission.
"Heard at the local lodge you folks are a man down. Thought I'd come join up, help ya see this through." She says casually, as she draws an ornate but battered pistol from a leather holster and begins to carefully clean and oil it. Then, offhandedly she adds
"Oh, and sorry about your friend."
Tagging in for Crowe.

Thanks! Sorry this is my busy time of the year. Will make it a point to be better. Replacing the shaman with the monk.
A lean man unburdened by any means of armor or even hair glides into the room and joins the group's discussion.
"A Shaman contact of mine asked that I aid you in your next endeavor. Seems she needs some time to resurrect her companion, so she says. I'm sure my padaprajna training will prove useful to you." He explains in a calm voice as he slowly meets the eyes of each new companion.

The webs are thicker in this clearing than they have been thus far, appearing newer and white, rather than the dingy gray of those seen earlier. These webs crisscross the canopy above, most strands meeting near the center to support a large globe of webbing the size of a large pumpkin.
As Oloch and Jirelle lead the way towards the large globe of webbing, several of you (sadly all but Jirelle) get the sense they are not alone.
A pair of spiders skitter through the tree branches above (imagine they are starting 10ft up and there are branches everywhere; DC10 to Climb up to a branch to engage them while they are out of melee range) to defend their prized nest.

Well since it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to walk through a forrest with a great sword drawn already...drawing my weapon and taking a 5ft step towards both the nest and one of the spiders
Sensing something isn't quite right Oloch takes a quick glance around and draws his weapon as he steps toward the source of his discomfort

"A battle up in the trees. This should prove interesting."

Crowe . |
Lirrianne's eye dart upwards at the sound of dozens of skittering legs, and she draws her pistol with such casual speed and grace that to anyone not watching closely, it would seem to have simply appeared in her hand.
Wayfinder won't let me change the character I made this post with, so just pretend it was Liri instead of Crowe.

I would have cast light if it's needed..but the pregen Oloch does not have light as one of his cantrips and doesn't own a wayfinder or any other way to make light. He does have darkvision though. So unless someone else has light as a spell (or carries a torch/sunrod or something) it's not very light around here
Oloch moves to the other side of the nest and glances around the area and up in the tree with the spider, trying to see how far the creature can get away from us, while standing menacingly near the spider's nest ...hoping to draw them back to it.
