At the bottom, Oloch and Adowyn notice the glint of something shiny beyond the rubble.

I assume they'll clear some of this rubble for a closer look, too.

As you begin digging about in the loose dirt, you uncover a solid metal surface buried below in just a few minutes of effort.

Clearing away more debris reveals a shiny, metallic vessel that is ovoid and just over 10 feet in length and 5 feet in diameter at its widest point.

The metal is strange and unfamiliar.

Knowledge (nature) DC 20 :
You identify it as an alloy of iron and adamantine.

The entire wreck appears to be relatively undamaged. Its surface is scratched and dented but unbroken, and a 3-by-5-foot section of the side appears as though it could be opened on a hinge.

Map editing should work now, looking for Jirelle and Shardra to check in, too.

Take 20 for a 24

The inside of the wreck is cramped. A single chair made out of the same strange metal faces the hatch, dozens of straps hang inside the device, and an array of levers and buttons lines the interior on one side.

Several dozen palm-sized metallic discs and an unadorned silvery bracer lie scattered across the interior.

Two separate checks for the below spoilers.

DC 15 Appraise or Knowledge (engineering or local):
You identify the discs as Numerian “silverdisks,” a form of currency. There are 35 in the pod, each worth 10 gp.

DC18 Knowledge (engineering):
The silver bracelet is an even greater prize, as it dampens the kinetic energy of any objects moving toward the wearer. Mechanically, this grants the wearer 15 temporary hit points, but due to damage the bracelet sustained, there is no way to recharge these temporary hit points. Further, after maintaining this field for 24 hours, the bracelet permanently runs out of energy.

Crowe begins pushing buttons and pulling levers, but the device appears to have been out of operation for a considerably long time.

Not even a full minute passes before you realize the dance of shadows and reflections upon the service of this metallic vessel indicate you have company.

Looking up, you spot four Kellid warriors along the path down to the crash.

"Stop there,” demands a Kellid woman who hefts a massive blade.

"You are not from here, and those things are not yours. Give us the silverdisks, all the gold you have, and anything else you found there."

She then points her massive sword in your general direction.

"Then you may live."

Eyeing the steep slope between himself and the bandits, and the two men aiming longbows down at them from the high ground, Crowe decides that simply rushing them wouldn't be the wisest course of action. Instead he draws his earthbreaker and points it at the woman, pretending not to even notice her companions.

"I cannot stress strongly enough just how badly you have erred in your judgement of victims today. Turn around and leave, and YOU may live. Do anything else, and I promise you I will personally tear you apart, and beat you to death with your own dismembered limbs."

"Neat!" said Jirelle with no sense of urgency. "I like the facepaint! Oh, yeah, and what he said," she gushed, jerking her thumb at Crowe.

Seeing the threats looming over her, Adowyn charges while drawing her bow. She pauses to let an arrow fly as Lleryn flashes past her, intent on the same target

The arrow sinks in whith a satisfying thunk, but Lleryn gets too excited and misses his mark as the man jerks away.

Climb checks for that slope, which would prevent a charge attack unless I'm overlooking something fancy about hunters, aspects and/or Leryn.

We'll also go into combat with Adowyn and Leryn's ambush being the surprise round - rolls coming shortly.

Crowe growls up at the woman, who seems to be mildly impressed by the bloodrager while Adowyn springs an ambush of her own, her arrow thudding into one of the archers on the path above. Leryn scrambles up the slope (let me know how much or how).

The rocky slope is a "surface with adequate handholds and footholds (natural or artificial), such as a very rough natural rock surface" and thus DC15 Climb.

Shardra conjures some cover while Adowyn launches some arrows just before the mist rises up, hitting the warrior twice (13 damage to that warrior, now 17 total; flat-footed AC exactly 12!). Scrambling up the slope, hopping from outcropping to outcropping, the half-elven swashbuckler makes it look easy, appearing at the top barely panting.

"Hiya, fellas!"

GM: If attacked, Jirelle will use Opportune Parry and Riposte.

Opportune Parry and Riposte:

Opportune Parry and Riposte When an enemy attempts a melee
attack against Jirelle (but before it rolls its attack roll), Jirelle can spend an attack of opportunity and 1 panache to make an attack roll
as if she was making an attack of opportunity with a –2 penalty for
every size larger than Jirelle the enemy is. If Jirelle’s result is higher than the enemy’s, the attack misses, and Jirelle can then spend an immediate action to make a counterattack against that enemy, as
long as she can reach it.

Parry: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 6 + 1 = 8
Riposte: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 71d6 ⇒ 2

R1 vs Jirelle: 1d20 + 6 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 6 - 1 + 2 = 11 for 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (5, 6) + 7 = 18

Ah I misread the flat-footed AC on R2 (it's 14) so that third arrow did miss.

Jirelle's celebration at successful scrambling up the slope is cut short as she realizes a misty fog emrges, surrounding her allies and leaving her as the lone target for four angry Kellids.

One of the barbarians, with two arrows sticking out from his side, quickly searches himself for a potion and drains its contents.

The other three Kellids waste no time focusing their attacks, but the swashbuckler manages to sidestep a pair of arrows and the swing of the massive sword from the frothy-mouthed rager. She watches as a few wisps of her hair flit to the ground and realizes that if either of the ragers connect one of their swings, she may be dead-dead.

1d20 + 4 - 5 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 5 = 17

it takes a bit of effort..but he finally makes it up there

GM Rolls:

R vs Leryn: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 6 - 1 = 16 for 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 3) + 7 = 16

As Oloch reaaches the path, he fully recognizes the scene of carnage he has stepped into. The body of the Kellid that first spoke to the group. Crowe's broken body. Jirelle's limp body.

CRUNCH

The rager adds Leryn's body to the pile (16 damage to Leryn) before turning his attention to the tuatara furiously biting at him.

He grunts at Oloch and smiles a grin of broken teeth.

The two archers meanwhile train their eyes on the mist, searching for the hunter within (both ready).

Grand Lodge

Mogmurch - Male goblin 1 hp 7/7 AC 14, touch 13, ff13 Fort +1, Ref +2, Will + 1Init +2; Perception +3

Oloch spontaneously converts a bless spell to a cure light wounds spell and touches Jirelle lightly with his glowing hand

I'm working on the assumption that Crowe is beyond help and that Jirelle looks to still be breathing here

Healing for Jirelle: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

And then readies his weapon and takes a step closer to R2

Entering Crowe's square

Female Dwarf Lvl1 Shaman HP11/11, AC15 (T:9, FF:15), Init+1, Perc+4, Saves(F+2,R-1,W+5; +3vPoison,+5vSpells), CMB-1, CMD8
Kolo:
Tuatara Lvl1, HP5/5, AC14 (T:13,FF:13, Init+2, Perc+4, Saves(F+2, R+2, W+5), Bite +3(1d3-4 attach)

Kolo continues his miniscule but relentless attack.

Bite: 1d3 - 4 ⇒ (2) - 4 = -2

I'm pretty sure it's impossible for Shardra to climb the cliff since her skill is -6. But there isn't much else she can do:

Climb: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (12) - 6 = 6
Climb: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (11) - 6 = 5

Instead of climbing, the dwarf practically digs into the cliff.

Leryn: Fort save to stabalize: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
-3 hp for the wolf..

Screaming in rage at the Kellids that attacked her wolf, Adowyn runs across the mist to pop out and shoot at the offending barbarian
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
but the distraught womans arrow flies nowhere near where it was intended
