Since zombies are slow and they only get to do partial actions anyway, we'll keep this simple: Party, then zombies.

ROUND 1

Bataleigha unleashes a burst of positive energy to burn the undead.

Zombie 1: Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Zombie 2: Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11

Deko slams his fist into a zombie, which is less effective than one would hope - there's a nasty crunch and the feel of bone breaking, but it doesn't seem to slow the monster down. One of Enoby's arrows sticks into a zombie and it doesn't even seem to notice. Zinnath's cold ray and Fezzik's halberd finish the job, though.

DR 5/slashing.

The surviving zombie moans and flaps its arms at Deko.

Zombie 2: Slam: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Zombie 2: Slam damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

A nasty blow is inflicted!

One of the cell doors opens and two more zombies shuffle out!

Zombie 3 passes through Fezzik's threatened area - make an AoO.

I actually might not get this since I can't attack anything right next to me, which they appear to be. :( but just in case ...

One zombie had to push open the door, then the other zombie moved through its square and out into the hall next to you, so you got the AoO as it left the square 10' away from you in the room beyond the door. Technically it has cover when you swing (-4) but that attack still hits.

Fezzik sees an opening and leaves a gash in the zombie that stumbled out of the cell door (#3).

Also, looks like the map lost the walls that I added for the 10x10 cell. Re-added those.

Looking over my character sheet for potential anti-zombie options, I just realized that I need to start paying attention to when we have surprise rounds because I get +1 weapon damage during. :P

Rnd 1: Kyrie moves into a position of support and rains down fire on the Eastern-most zombie.

Force Missile!: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

rnd 2: Kyrie continues the arcane assault, her bolts hitting unerringly on the zombie that the dragon continues to harass. Unless that one is no longer up, in which case she gleefully flings missiles under Fezzik's legs to the next Eastern-most zombie.

I'm going to wait and see how our damage affects the zombies before posting an action, as Bat'll likely have to decide between healing Deko or dealing more with the zombies. Speaking of damage, I don't see a damage roll for last round's positive energy channel, so I'll roll that now.

Think we're still waiting on Deko, Enoby, and Fezzik for round 2.

The next cell down will open and disgorge another pair of zombies once they've gone.

"Deko smash you up, no matter what!" Deko screamed as he ran towards the next zombie. His fist reared back, the moment he drew close it lashed out. Unfortunately, he stumbled upon a rock and smacked the wall instead of the undead.

Bataleigha decides that keeping Deko in the fight is more important at the moment than giving the undead another taste of divine positive energy. She moves up behind the brawler and touches his shoulder, casting cure light wounds.

Updated map: Deko can see to the west (to the right side of the map) that there is what looks like an old cobweb-filled torture chamber).

The party flails away at the zombies helplessly, and the zombies attempt to return the favor.

Fezzik swings as zombie (#4) shuffles toward him.

He slices the zombie into pieces with a single elegant blow, parting it like salami.

Zombie 6 opens the door from the inside of its little cell. Zombie 5 steps out and lashes at Deko (slowly).

Fezzik continues to swing away at the zombies as they come out of the doors. He attacks the one next to Deko, but as he tries to avoid hitting him, he also misses the zombie.

Enoby can take a move action for this round, as well as for last round, so she could get into the middle of the fray if she really wants.

Enoby took two move actions last round (sheathe and draw), so I don't think I'll be able to dive right into the middle.

Enoby moves towards the fray, stopping alongside Kyrie in an effort to cover her flank. She raises her club, ready to strike any undead lucky enough to shamble past the groups warriors.

Enoby moves adjacent to Kyrie, and then readies to attack any zombies that enter her melee range. (Unlikely, but never hurts to be careful!)

Readied Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Always good to know what you've wasted your good rolls on, lol!

The onslaught of magic whittles down the zombies, but they continue to shamble out anyway. Reaching, grasping hands and scratchy moans underscore the unnerving, yet also repetitive, nature of the encounter.

Zombie 5: Slam Deko: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Fezzik: AoO on Zombie 6: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Fezzik: AoO Damage on Zombie 6: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (8, 7) + 4 = 19

As one of the zombies tries to come out the door, Fezzik cuts it down.

And again, as expected, the next door opens and disgorges a pair of zombies. One pushes the door open (#7) and the other (#8) advances on Deko (but because of its slow zombie speed, can't attack him yet).

Kyrie mutters to the group. "I am now calling on my main reserves of arcane talent. If this encounter draws on for much longer, I shall be of less use than a zero level hirling an asthmatic ant with heavy shopping."

Kyrie calls upon Forces proper, and the air arcs and sparks with writhing runes as she launches a Magic Missile at the zombie just beyond Beko.
The second one, the one on line with Bats.

Fezzik tries to help keep the zombies at bay, swinging at the closest one next to Deko, but hits the door instead. While frustrated that he missed, he doesn't like that Bat is by herself, so he moves up to help protect her.

Enoby moves past Zinnath and approaches the zombie situated between Deko and the wall. With a placid look of determination, she swings her club at the animated corpse.

Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Is there room for another head on that desk?

Fortunately, Deko's swing does hit - AC 12 will connect with a zombie. Unfortunately, zombies have DR 5/slashing, so blunt weapons like Deko's fists and Enoby's club are really ineffective.

Deko somehow manages to smash the zombie next to him (#5), even though he's distracted; its head bounces off the wall, but it moans softly and remains standing.

Zinnath ices one slightly and Kyrie's magic missiles land with precision in another.

Bat bursts out another wave of positive energy:
Zombie 5 Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Zombie 7 Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Zombie 8 Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Her power finishes off the zombie that Deko punched (#5) even though it struggles to resist. The other two zombies are scorched but not finished by her powers.

The zombie in the room (#7) lurches out and rushes Bat with sudden speed. Partial charge. Its AC is now 10.

Fezzik swings at it as it passes by.

Fezzik: AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Fezzik: AoO damage: 2d8 + 4 ⇒ (5, 2) + 4 = 11

Slice and it is neatly bisected.

The other zombie flails at Deko again.

Zombie 8 attack Deko: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

The brawler manages to keep his guard up and he knocks its flailing hands away from his centerline.

As expected, the next door in line opens and the conga line of undead continues (#9 and #10).

Fezzik shakes his head as he was wondering the same thing. Seeing only one more closed door, he moves past Bat to get a better angle on the northern most zombie in the hallway.

Down to her last channel positive energy, Bataleigha opts to save that for an emergency. She drops her mace with a clang, draws her dagger, takes a 5-ft.-step toward the zombie near Deko and Enoby, and slashes at the undead.

Observing that there seems to be little she can contribute to the battle directly, and with the possibility of yet more zombies on the way, Enoby opts for an indirect approach.

Carefully moving away from the animated corpse she's currently engaged with, Enoby begins singing her Drow battle-hymn again. As the ancient, foreign lyrics find her companion's ears they feel curiously emboldened.

Enoby takes a 5' step back and begins performing Inspire Courage, bestowing her allies with a +1 morale bonus on saves vs. Charm and Fear, as well as a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.
