Geoffrey Whittaker |
Geoffrey raises an eyebrow at York.
"Well, sir, despite your age, I seem to remember you proving quite strong last night when we fought those beasts! If you are not long for this world, with your children and grandchildren dead, would it not be all the more reason to do something to leave a mark on this world that will not be forgotten, before you pass on?"
He then shrugs.
"I would not aspire to calling ourselves heroes, but we *were* given power, power that could be used as a symbol, a flickering flame to light a thousand thousand torches in the hearts of the men and women of the city, showing that that whilst the night is dark and full of terrors, it does not have to remain that way!"
Listening to what Oktavia has to say, Geoffrey then offers her a rueful smile.
"I don't think any of us know the first thing about this..."
He then turns to Belinda.
"Would you have the sort of connections via your family to offer access to the kind of books we would need to learn more about this? I could try canvassing the streets, discretely, but I am loathe to do more than that... I agree, it could attract the *wrong* sort of attention far too quickly."
Belinda Thuru |
For a first time a wry smile flits across Belinda's lips. "I actually deal in rare books. I will see what I can do. If you all would write your recollections of last night down -- without talking to each other -- it would be a great help."
DM Jelani |
It's been two weeks since I first asked for a decision on what you guys would be doing for the next couple days. Despite repeated prompting, posting has remained dismally low. In light of this, I'm closing this game. Thanks for playing guys, hope I'll see you all around the boards when you've got more time to post.
York |
Thanks for the game. It was good while it lasted.
Going back over the posts, I could have sworn I had a more recent post; just a Ready to move on type thing, done in OCC blue. I either messed it up, I'm misremembering, or the forum ate the post. C'est la vie, I suppose. Thanks for the interesting intro and different take on this AP, Jelani.
