Sapphira turns away from the ragdoll, knowing too well the implications and follows Kelda outside.

Female NG Half-elf Druid (Mooncaller) 3 | HP 22/26 | AC 14 T 12 FF 12 | CMB +2, CMD 14 | F: +5, R: +3, W: +6 | Init: +2 | Perception: +9 | Speed 30ft | Enlarge 6/day (Used: 1) |

Lysithia's expression darkens as well at the sight of the bloody doll. She wordlessly follows her love out and onto the next building.

Female NG Human Slayer 3 | HP 23/30 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 | CMB +3, CMD 16 | F: +6, R: +6, W: +3| Init: +3 | Perception: +8 (+10), SM: +6 | Speed 30ft | Active conditions: None.

After a moment of though, Jade picks up the pearl and the coins, seeing no sense in leaving them for whatever would come through this area after they were gone.

Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)

Once Jade follows the others outside, Kelda points to the next building, "Let's go in this one next. Jade, if you would check it out first please." She says, not feeling overly anxious to get another arrow in her side.

Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)

Just to be clear, we are going into the other not so run down building next. Then we'll quickly go through the rest of the dilapidated ones. I don't think we have a whole bunch more to go through right? We already did the magic casters hideout, and one of the not so run down buildings.

I understand. I'm just waiting for Jade to make a Perception check before I move along.

Female NG Half-elf Druid (Mooncaller) 3 | HP 22/26 | AC 14 T 12 FF 12 | CMB +2, CMD 14 | F: +5, R: +3, W: +6 | Init: +2 | Perception: +9 | Speed 30ft | Enlarge 6/day (Used: 1) |

Hanging back a bit, Lysithia loads a stone into her sling, ready to deal with anything that might rush out.

Jade move forward, her keen eyes looking for any sign of a trap or other threat.

As Jade moves into the building, her foot catches an unseen wire and a small dart pierces her shoulder.

"^&@^#$&^!!!" Jade blurts out as she quickly reaches up to yank a dart from her shoulder.

Fort: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Thankfully, a minor injury is all that Jade endures. Unlike the previous building, this one appears as if it was used by one individual.

F Human Sorceress 3; HP: 14/18; AC: 12, FF: 10, T: 12; Init: +2; Fort: +1, Ref: +3, Will: +4 Perception +4

Sapphira quickly moves to her sister's side and looks her over, "Those stupid ba$cards and their traps. I swear we're gonna make every single one of them pay." She says with a lot of anger for a fourteen year old girl.

Looking up at her sister, "Are you okay? I'm sorry you got hit by their stupid dart. Do you need me to numb it a little?" She asks Jade, the anger in her voice replaced with concern for her family.

Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)

How many buildings are left to search after this one?

"I'm alright... barely hurts. More annoying than anything, but yeah, the next goblin I see is getting stabbed." Jade grumbles, reassuring her sister that it was only a minor wound.

F Human Sorceress 3; HP: 14/18; AC: 12, FF: 10, T: 12; Init: +2; Fort: +1, Ref: +3, Will: +4 Perception +4

Sapphira nods in agreement with her sister.

There's only one more that isn't just some walls.

"I'm sorry Jade, I didn't mean for you to get hit too. Let's hurry and get through this building so we can search the last one, and go after the rest of those jerks. I don't want them getting too far ahead of us." Kelda says before helping with the search.

F Human Sorceress 3; HP: 14/18; AC: 12, FF: 10, T: 12; Init: +2; Fort: +1, Ref: +3, Will: +4 Perception +4

Sapphira decides to try and help as well.

So honey, can he keep his last roll for the next building and just roll again to search this one, or does it have to be the other way?

You would probably prefer the roll for this house with the dart trap.

Jade's keen sight locates two bright red potions. Of course, being a goblin's possessions, they are devoid of any identifying markings. She also finds a scrap of paper which appears to be a crude map of the woods.

Female NG Half-elf Druid (Mooncaller) 3 | HP 22/26 | AC 14 T 12 FF 12 | CMB +2, CMD 14 | F: +5, R: +3, W: +6 | Init: +2 | Perception: +9 | Speed 30ft | Enlarge 6/day (Used: 1) |

Lysithia looks over Jade's shoulder as she produces the map, finding the goblin scribbling hard to follow.

Knowledge Geography: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Noting that the potions seem to be the same, she uncorks one of them, breathing in its scent before taking the tiniest sip, to try to identify its properties.

Lysithia's wounds heal slightly as the potion passes her lip.

Gain 1 hp for your taste test. They are potions of Cure Moderate Wounds.

Taking a deep breath, Lysithia smiles slightly. "These are both healing potions." she explains. "Not the strongest, but not the weakest either."

Kelda just stands there as she watches her love take a sip of some unknown substance, frozen in place by her own fear of what they could have been keeping in those bottles.

Once she sees that nothing bad happens to Lysithia, she lets out the breath she didn't even realize she was holding.

It takes her a minute or so to calm and be able to move again. Once the feeling returns to her legs, Kelda walks over to Lysithia and takes her hands to get her attention.

Looking up into her face with a calm but serious expression she says as calmly as she can, "I'm glad it turned out to be something helpful this time.....but, you just took a sip of some unknown substance, that we found in our enemies camp. It could have been anything Lysi....and if...if it had been poison or...or something worse, I might not have been able to save you, even if you did only swallow a small amount. I love you, and admire you for so many reasons...I don't know what I would do if something happened to you. So please....please don't ever do something like that again. If at some point we find some kind of liquid or just whatever, and we don't know what it is.....promise me that we'll have someone identify what it is before tasting anything? I just...I don't want anyone taking those kinds of chances. Okay?" Looking up into her face and hearing the concern in her voice, Lysithia can tell that it really worried and upset Kelda. There is almost a pleading look in her shimmering eyes as Kelda looks up into the face of the person she loves most in this world.

Female NG Half-elf Druid (Mooncaller) 3 | HP 22/26 | AC 14 T 12 FF 12 | CMB +2, CMD 14 | F: +5, R: +3, W: +6 | Init: +2 | Perception: +9 | Speed 30ft | Enlarge 6/day (Used: 1) |

There are only two ways to identify a potion, and no one else has spellcraft

"I understand your worry Love, but it was a calculated risk. There's no guarantee of when we'll be around someone who knows how to identify macical things, and holding onto something that might save one of our lives, not knowing what it is seemed...like a bad idea I guess." Lysithia replies, looking into Kelda's eyes and seeing the worry and fear there. "But I promise if there's any other way to figure something like that out in the future, and it isn't absolutely necessary...I won't do something that risky again." she says leaning in to lovingly press her forehead against her love's.

Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)

Yeah, realistically I know that, but Kelda just watched the woman she loves, take a sip of something they found in the enemy's camp, and all she can think is, "What if it had been poison and I couldn't save her?" I don't have 'remove poison'....if that's even a spell. I think it is, I just know I don't have it though. That was just kind of her thought process though, since we're dealing with goblins, and they love their traps. I just thought it was a normal reaction to the situation, given what they've been through so far. Anyways, that was my line of thinking for her reaction. I guess I shoukd have taken spellcraft or identify ir whatever. You just dont think about stuff like that till yoh need it. There's the stuff that Sapphira found, and we dont know whaf it does yet either.

Taking another calming breath she nods, taking comfort in her love's presence, "Okay, I just want us to be careful. We know what these buggers are capable of. Risking one life on the chance that it might save someone else's life...it's not worth the risk to me. I'm just relieved that it worked out okay this time."

If Kelda just took a sip of something they found in enemy territory without knowing what it was, wouldn't it have seemed impulsive and worrisome to Lysithia? Logically, it makes sense to taste something to find out what it is, but logic and love rarely go together. If I had tried that though, I probably wouldn't have rolled that well, knowing my luck.

Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)

I guess there's no way to be prepared for every possible situation. When I level and I'm picking my stuff, I try to think about what the characters have been through, and what makes sense for them. I've got to try and remember about this whenever we level next, so I can take things that are more useful.

Female NG Half-elf Druid (Mooncaller) 3 | HP 22/26 | AC 14 T 12 FF 12 | CMB +2, CMD 14 | F: +5, R: +3, W: +6 | Init: +2 | Perception: +9 | Speed 30ft | Enlarge 6/day (Used: 1) |

Oh, being worried about it definitely makes sense. And it's a perfectly valid reaction. We just don't really have a magic expert and no Intelligence based caster so we have to make do with what we've got. Kinda like us not having a trapfinder.

"I will be, I promise Love."

Female NG Human Slayer 3 | HP 23/30 | AC 16 T 13 FF 13 | CMB +3, CMD 16 | F: +6, R: +6, W: +3| Init: +3 | Perception: +8 (+10), SM: +6 | Speed 30ft | Active conditions: None.

Smirking to herself as Kelda and Lysithia discuss the druidess' unorthodox way of figuring out the potions, Jade looks over the sketchy map, not able to make much of whatever the goblins thought of as landmarks and notations.

Basil, quiet up to this point, notices both Lysithia and Jade struggling to read the map. "I guess that scrap of paper isn't helpful, then?"

F Human Sorceress 3; HP: 14/18; AC: 12, FF: 10, T: 12; Init: +2; Fort: +1, Ref: +3, Will: +4 Perception +4

Peeking at the piece of paper with scribbles on it over her sister's arm, Sapphira shrugs, "Looks like some drawing or something, but we can't make it out. Do you wanna look at it?"

Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)

Nodding she stretches up to give her love's cheek a kiss, "Okay, then let's hurry up and finish things here so we can go after those cowardly ba$+ards. We got one more sorta building to search."

Male Human Brawler 3; HP: 30/30; AC 14 T 13 FF 11; Fort +5 Ref +5 Will +0; Init +2; Perception +4

Basil shakes his head. "Reading maps isn't one of my strong suits, especially if it's just goblin scribbles."

The last building has been ravaged by fire. You can see a few goblin armaments surrounding a makeshift altar adorned with various bones and topped with a horse skull. The building smells putrid and you hardly see any reason to venture inside.

Female Dwarf WarPriestess/3 HP 18/27; Init: +1; AC: 18, T: 12, FF: 16; Fort: +5, Ref: +2, Will: +6 (+2 vs poison, spells and spell-like abilities); Perception: +6 (+8 vs unusual stonework)

Once everything useful has been gathered up, Kelda says, "Before we continue on, I think a couple of us could use a little more healing."

Kelda looks over everyone before healing herself and then Sapphira.

Fervor on self: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Fervor for Sapphira: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Kelda sighs a little as just a few shallow wounds heal up, "Alright, I guess we just head out after them now. Jade, do you think you can pick up their trail? All I saw was them heading North."

Need a Survival roll.
