How big is the house on the outside? Is there enough other buildings around it to be able to scout the outside stealthy and find the best place for everyone to hide?

Sama'el Val'varen |

Just like before Sam will prepare himself for his Gaseous Invisible exploratory trip through the house and will commit the house to memory
He will cast Heroism, Flying, Invis and Gaseous form and make sure that he and Tlanextic are able to "speak" and he will enter the house at the bottom floor and start to look around

Note that Tlanextic's telepathy is limited to 100 feet; he will linger invisible near Dalamus (circle marked on map ... Dalamus and Tlanextic are south of the building (closest wall))
Sam transforms into a smoky substance and disappears from view, floating off to scout.
Ground Floor
FOYER
Four lifelike statues in alcoves greet you as you enter the estate - a female elven wizard in robes, a male elven ranger with a longbow, a female elven cleric carrying a shield with the symbol of Ketephys (elven god of hunting) carved into it, and a male elven druid wearing a cowl and carrying a vine-like whip.
You smell the faint odor of rotting meat from somewhere.
MAIN HALL
A five-foot-wide staircase climbs up the eastern wall to an overhanging balcony fifteen feet above. The red carpet that began at the front doors crosses the room and continues up the stairs to the balcony on either side. Two heavy five-foot-tall candelabras stand in the middle of the hall but are unlit.
Two half-orc guards stand on either side of the stairs.
GUARDROOM
Behind a cleverly hidden door, you find three more half-orc guards watching over the outside stairs through a small hole.
FOUNTAIN
Another hidden door hides an interesting sight. An exquisite marble fountain sits in this room. Standing at its center is a masterfully carved statue of a beautiful elven woman. She holds a quarterstaff in her hands, and wears a normal, simple dress adorned with a symbol comprised of three crystals of pink, blue and green overlapping in the middle to form a six-pointed star shape surrounded by a golden circle. IT is the symbol of Yuelral, elven goddess of crafting. She has wise eyes and is surrounded by orbiting magical crystals much like ioun stones. Three marble benches and several painted ceramic vats of sweet-smelling earth add to the decor.
KITCHEN
A long, wide counter runs along the south wall of this kitchen. The wall above is covered with cupboards, and a large fireplace sits to the west. It hasn't seen use in quite some time.
DINING ROOM
A long, oaken table surrounded by a half-dozen chairs sits in this room. The east wall sports five impressive floor-to-ceiling windows that afford a nice view of southern Cauldron. Four half-orcs rest in this room, drinking from a small keg on the table.
PARLOR
Five plush chairs surround a large round table in the middle of this room. Couches, wine cabinets, and other furnishings are haphazardly arranged. One half-orc hangs out on a leather couch while two others engage in some sort of rowdy game of dice, coins and finger bones of some unspecified humanoid.
WINE STORAGE
Rows of shelves along the north wall hold several dozen bottles of good wine. Boxes of wine are piled all over the room, making it difficult to get at the walls without moving the boxes aside.

Epik |

Epik frowns, "These masterful statues sound like they may be victims of petrification. We will have to bring a means to restore them to flesh."

Sama'el Val'varen |

Sam will think to Tlanextic, "We should have everyone start thinking of what creatures are able to turn flesh into stone easily or even at will so I can be looking for more clues as to what we may be up against"
Knowledge Dungeoneering - 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (19) + 22 = 41

Sam will continue on to the 2nd floor

Sam continues up the stairs ...
Second Floor
MASTER STUDY
This room contains two overstuffed couches that face each other, separated by a low marble table. A gold and jade water pipe sits on the table. A single chair sits in a circular nook to the southeast.
MASTER BEDROOM
This large bedroom features an oversized canopied bed with purple silk sheets. A huge obsidian fireplace is built into the southern wall, and several beautiful paintings of elven cities hang on the walls. A writing desk and comfy chair sit in a circular nook to the northeast.
The room is covered in a fine layer of dust.
BATHROOM
Clean with a layer of dust over everything.
LIBRARY
This cozy room is dominated by numerous wooden shelves, each filled with dozens and dozens of books. A single reading table and chair sit in the central portion of the library. A fair number of books here are on magical theory, while the entire western wing is comprised of books on elven and half-elven society. These particular books all appear to have been well read.
SERVANT’S QUARTERS
A spiral staircase winds down to the lower level. Surrounding it are several simple cots, six in all.
This room is empty but appears to have been used somewhat recently.
AVIARY
More than a dozen birdcages fill this room, each one once home to three or four small but colorful birds (finches mostly). Most of the cages sit atop shelves or tables by the windows, but a few hang from the ceiling by elegant chains. Unfortunately, the colorful contents of these cages all lie dead, apparently for some time, as the smell of rotting flesh is thick in here.
Sam notes floating at the top of the aviary are six orb-like creatures with a single eye dripping with some sort of ichor and two tentacles on top, each with an eye on the end. It has an open mouth with a series of razor-like teeth at the bottom.

Nowzai has heard of these creatures, but only in the most bizarre way. They are literally fictional beasts, only conjured up in fantastical tales that have no basis on any Golarion fauna.
Currently these fictional folios of fiends and manuals of monsters are published by a group of arcanists living near the shoreline in Sargova. The creatures themselves, however are based on ancient short stories written by an acclaimed author in his time, Egaryg Ygax.
The beasts are gauth -- related to beholders, or eye tyrants. The gauth have the ability to cast some minor spells as rays from their various eyes.
-Posted with Wayfinder

Nowzai al'Nazari |

Nowzai frowns deeply in thought before telling the others. "I have read some obscure texts, describing creatures from other planes, or distant planets, each of them more strange than the next. I believe these things are called 'gauth', aberrations related to beholders. Like their greater kin, they can cast spells as rays from their eyes..."
Nowzai blanches as he pauses a moment. "Beholders are known to petrify with one of their eye rays."

Sama'el Val'varen |

How long have I been in here?
Anyway to sink down through the floor in the Library to see what I was missing in the room below I couldn't get into?
Depnding on time left, I will move to the 3rd floor or return to everyone and recall some spells and go back in

Epik |

Epik raises an eyebrow. "Well, the petrification indeed explains the exquisite statues. We must prepare our selves before we strike."

Dalamus Othreleth |

"I don't know...That place had just Orcs and statues. Where are the people, unless....Well, did you recognize any of the people the statues were of?"
Dalamus rubs his chin for a minute then looks backup "I know this is a long shot, but here goes....I know that Orcs are dumb, foul creatures ...but if we are able to capture one and interrogate it...Then maybe, he will have something that we can actually use, like who is behind this, or how do we get into the hidden room...etc."

Nowzai al'Nazari |

"Did the gauth make any notice of you, Sama'el? I fear a stealthy approach may not be possible, unless we can teleport right past them."
To Dalamus's suggestion, he shakes his head. "We have had scant success getting any worthwhile information from minions, even Jil, who we considered a knowledgeable source. I doubt these brute half-orc thugs will know, or care, much more than that they're being paid and fed. Certainly not the subterfuge and plots of their masters."

Sama'el Val'varen |

Sam thinks back on his encounter with the gauth "I don't believe they saw me, I don't remember any sort of a reaction from them. I didn't disturb anything because I was also gaseous and a decent distance away from them. I think if they had seen me they would have attacked"
"I would be willing to attempt the 3rd floor the same way as before, though I will be more cautious now that I know he has at least one creature that could see me" Sam shrugs, "I am also ok with going in with force if needs be, I think it's clear that at the very least Vhalantru is involved in what troubles this city. I am not sure if he summoned the gauth himself, or perhaps is working in conjunction with a beholder or some other powerful creature but either way I think we have satisfied that he does not have the best intentions of the city at heart"
"I would also like to scout the House Rhiavadi where Fario spied the shady individuals entering before he was taken and tortured, as there may be more clues there as well to tell us what we are up against" Sam cracks his knuckles clearly agitated, "Either way, this town needs our help more now than before, we also need to figure out how to shut that portal down for good, I believe if both Nowzai and I touch the portal it can be destroyed"

Dalamus Othreleth |

"I think we need more information. Sam, if you think that you can sneak to the 3rd floor, than I say go for it. We need to know if Vhalantru is a part of this, a prisoner or a statue. I think the 3rd floor will go a long way to exposing that."
I say we stay in the positions were before and if something goes down we are prepared to enter to help Sam. That being said, I still don't really know what to do when we find a gauth.

Epik |

Epik listens intently to Nowzai. "I suggest we try to teleport in past the Gauth. Before we do that, let us procure a means to reverse petrification, should it occur."

Sama'el Val'varen |

"The Gauth are on the 2nd floor, there might not be any need to go to them at all. There was a room I was unable to find entrance to, let go back and look at the 3rd floor and then I will spend the rest of my spell time trying to find what is in the room on the ground level I couldn't access. It was next to a wine storage room which as we all know, always house some sort of secret door, I may just need to remove my gaseous form and look around in corporal form."
Are there windows on the 3rd floor I could use to access the floor from the outside?

DM Fflash |

Sam nods and heads off to do his final recon, recalling his spent spells through the use of arcane mysteries (3 points, I believe since we always round down). The magus flows in through the nearest window.
Third Floor
Bedroom
Both of these rooms are fairly plain and unadorned. They don't appear to have been used recently/
Bathroom
These simple lavatories are covered in a layer of dust
Large Bedroom
Both of these rooms are more elegant than the other bedrooms and are missing the dust that is prevalent throughout the house.
Of note in the southern bedroom is a grayish humanoid creature that seems almost unfinished, with a narrow head, gaunt limbs, and a sinister, noseless face. It is sitting cross legged on the floor amidst a pool of greenish slime that is eating at the floors and carpet. That slimes appears to be seeping from various places on the creature's body.
Sam is in contact the whole time, so assume everyone sees this
