Dalamus Othreleth |

Why bother with the frontal distraction, I am sure at most they would only send a few guys and batten down their internal defenses. Now we have a greater chance of them not paying that close of attention, not to mention we are going to DD into the area. when the fight begins, we can hold them off until we are ready to DD out....btw, Dalamus also has DD.

Sama'el Val'varen |

Ok let's do this thing, cast any spells you want and we will go.
Sam will cast Long Arms, Mirror Image, Shield on himself and then Haste on everyone, in that order and will cast Invis first if that has expired and then D-Door to the area I drew on the map, I think it vanished behind the black out so let me know if you don't see a crappy oval
I have Heroism, Ablative Barrier active as well
Mirror Image - 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Sama'el Val'varen |

Also I think you can have a spell prepped and step through the door and have an action to cast it but I could be wrong, so again if Fellian could have a hold person prepped and Dalamus, not sure what you have but either be invis with sword drawn etc, you all should be able to act as soon as we port in, only I can't act I believe

Epik |

Epik turns to Nowzai, "Do you have any way of dispelling this ice lattice?"

Nemoris |

Ok so fireball won't set anything on fire, so looking into other ideas, anyone have any oil?
I am carrying two flasks of lamp oil, and I'm happy to set some stuff on fire!
If we decide to just jump in, I'd like to make sure we have a way to jump out if stuff gets nasty. Outside of that, if it's been more than a few hours since we faced down the angry crowds I will recast longstrider, draw my bow and be ready to attack!

Getting the sense we're pressing without the fire tactic ... correct me if you had another plan, but moving the game along
The party readies up spells and Sam grabs everyone and casts the dimension door.
With a slight sense of vertigo, you find yourselves in a tight room with an odd sight. A male half-elf lies face down on a wooden torture rack in the middle of this windowless fifteen-foot-square, fifteen-foot-high room. Magical light from an unseen source above the rafters paints the walls and floor in dark shadows. The wooden rack is shaped like an “X” with iron manacles binding the half-elf’s wrists and ankles. The half-elf’s back is striped with crimson lacerations. Standing next to the prisoner is a young woman in black garb with half her face painted black, the other half painted white. She holds a dripping blade near the half-elf’s throat with one gloved hand and the handle of a silvery whip in the other. Something about her stance suggests a catlike readiness, and she smiles triumphantly.

You have a single round of surprise ... single action from everyone plus an initiative roll, please
Portal
Tlanextic obliges, burning a path and a hole through the wall of ice to the south and a door beyond. Entering through that door, you find another hallway littered with the strange ice-air columns and 6 armed alien bodies.
The eastern hallway ends in rubble and the south end of the corridor ends in a staircase choked in ice and rubble. Turning east, six doors line the north and south walls of the passageway, three to a side. The hall itself ends at a tangled lattice of icy strands that flicker and writhe with cold blue tendrils of light.
A set of double iron doors, covered in runes and strange depictions of the 6-armed humanoids working great magic stand to the west.

Sorry for the delay
The Brass Trumpet
Dalamus and Sam explode through the dimension door, quickly assessing the situation and without hesitation strike down the woman torturing Fario, killing her instantly when Sam's electricity courses through her body. Nemoris raises his bow and then blinks once in awe.
It is only then that you recognize the woman as Jil, the some time Last Laugh operative who has watched you before.
END COMBAT
The Portal
Squeezing past the two adjacent ice coffins, Epik opens the double doors to the west pushing them open easily. As he does so, he notices the sole momument in the room, a 12 foot ice-rimed iron statue of an armored 6-armed figure, slowly turn and begin to move forward with heavy footfalls.

Damage: 2d6 + 9 + 7 ⇒ (6, 2) + 9 + 7 = 24

Quietly Sam says, "Fellian, look to your friend quickly and quietly, we might not be noticed yet.
Sam will search Jil and then making sure she is dead and not just unconscious, stuff her into a bag of holding. He looks around and shrugs, "Maybe Jenya can ask her some questions from the grave"

Nowzai al'Nazari |

Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Nowzai's eyes furrow, "An iron golem, though covered in ice. It will be difficult to damage without adamantine. Beware its poison gas! I will try to fend it off."
He casts, placing a wind wall directly between the golem and Epik.
Wind wall, should have no effect on melee attacks, but will block breath weapons.

Dalamus Othreleth |

The Brass Trumpet
I think that is the definition of well executed plan! Dead in the surprise round!
"Yes, let's grab her. I am going to want to watch these operatives to see where they go from here. It is my time to do the watching. When you came in through the mist, did you find another way out of this place, aside from the front entrance?"
Dalamus will cast Dimension Door and leave when the others go through Sam's portal.

Sama'el Val'varen |

Sam would have walked you through everything he saw, There are windows in the room right next to us that you and I were both standing at that you could get out of and then the door for sure. I didn't find a secret way out unless that one still blacked out area is a stairwell down and out
With her in my bag I don't think you will need to waste your DDoor as I can get all of us out

DM Fflash |

Portal
Init: Nowzai, Epik, Magma, Iron Golem
The two warriors move in immediately to attack, adamantine weapons at they ready, however the cold weather numbs their hands and they fail to swing hard enough to damage the nearly unmoving golem. Nowzai lays a wall of wind between his allies and the construct.
As expected, the golem belches out a green gas that immediately hits the wall and gets dispersed up and away.
Tlanextic? Round 2 actions
Brass Trumpet
Fellian channels a burst of healing energy causing Fario to grown slightly and open his eyes. Sam gathers up the fried Last Laugh lieutenant and her gear and the team teleports back out as quickly as they came in.
She bears the following: +1 shadow studded leather, +1 whip, potion of cure moderate wounds, potion of spider climb, scroll of undetectable alignment, wand of dimension door (1 charge), wand of silence (6 charges), mw thieves tools, 2 doses of Deathblade, sword sheathe with hidden reservoir of Deathblade, 45 gold pieces minted with a jester's face, masterwork shortsword, and a masterwork shortbow,

Nowzai al'Nazari |

Unable to do much of anything against the golem, Tlanextic watches the corridors north and east.
Nowzai digs out a wand from his satchel and sends an arrow of acidic goo at the golem.
Acid Arrow (ranged touch): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15; Acid Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 3) = 7
Reminder, Magma has sonic weapon active, so will do +1d6 sonic to the golem if he hits.

Epik's blows ring harmlessly against the iron creature, but Magma is able to withdraw and smash the beast with a crushing blow, denting it easily. Nowzai follows up with s spell that burns a hole into its chest. Couldnt find a ruling. Does wind wall affect acid arrow since its a conjured effect?
The golem swings all of its right arms at once crumpling the paladin's left side and follows up with its left arms, delivering blows that show no sign of hesitation or lack of follow through.

Epik |

Epik withdraws out of the room. "Run Magma! It's too powerful!"

Nowzai al'Nazari |

"Hold the line, Magma, while Epik heals himself. Put those adamantine weapons to good use!" Nowzai says, stepping back but discharging the wand again.
I think if you both can land a couple hits, this would be an easy encounter! If you prefer retreat, Nowzai will comply.
Acid Damage, continuing: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5
Acid Arrow (ranged touch): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12; Acid Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5

Epik |

It auto hits all of us and deals 4d10+32 x 2. That's more than any of us can take for more than a round. We will need to retreat, heal and try again - possibly several times.

Magma Iron Clan |

Round 3

20 hp added back for stoneskin. Ok, let's stick it out another round. I'll jump back in next round after I heal.

DM Fflash |

Portal Round 3
Init: Nowzai, Epik, Magma, Iron Golem
Nowzai's acid continues to burn a hole and he adds another one as Epik wthdraws to heal. Magma takes a pair of ineffectual swipes and the golem retaliates with devastating blows. (Holy shit, you guys need my dice ... that was originally 2 crits, but since my standard is to roll crits sequentially ...)
To hit Magma: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (19) + 28 = 47; Crit?: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (20) + 28 = 48; Damage: 4d10 + 32 ⇒ (4, 6, 4, 9) + 32 = 55
To hit Magma: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (17) + 28 = 45; Damage: 2d10 + 16 ⇒ (9, 9) + 16 = 34
Still no Tlanextic?
Brass Trumpet
Fellian is far more interested in healing Fario and says as much, "Worry about that woman later, my cousin found something. Let's return to Meerthan at the bathhouse ... literally across the street and figure out what it is."

Epik |

Epik heals himself and then moves in to power attack the golem.
LoH: 5d6 + 7 ⇒ (2, 5, 1, 5, 2) + 7 = 22
Power Attack: 1d20 + 17 - 3 ⇒ (4) + 17 - 3 = 18
damage: 2d6 + 7 + 9 ⇒ (4, 2) + 7 + 9 = 22

Nowzai al'Nazari |

Tlanextic can't really do anything with the golem's magic immunities. If Epik gets close, he can cast cure moderate wounds
on him. CMW: 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (1, 1) + 10 = 12 ... WTH is with these dice?
Acid Damage, continuing: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5
Acid Arrow (ranged touch): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27; Acid Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (4, 4) = 8
Nowzai winces as Magma is slammed hard and then cannot connect with his counterattack. He fires his wand again, continuing the acidic corrosion.

DMFflash |

Your dice rolling is atrocious. Reminder to decrement 13 hps to golem for me tonight
Epik and Magma charge back ineffectually, Epik healing himself and receiving aid from Tlanextic. Nowzai continues to melt holes in the golem.
The golem continues to thrash Magma.
