I'll follow along as well, hopefully get my bow back from Jenya, or I'll be going back to get it here shortly :)
Perception on Stairs: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36

Jenya and Kaurophon have not caught up to you all just yet. I do need to know how many rounds/castings of mending it will take to fix the bow from you and Sam.
Well since there was a chase, Jenya would have ran to keep up and maybe will start mending once we are somewhere she can do it safely Also who is hurt? She has one channel left, might make sense to use it now if we are going to keep chasing and fighting
Reference my earlier post. Jenya is not with you yet and I still need the number of mendings.
FYSA: mending is the specific spell in relation to Nemoris' bow shes repairing
Dalamus is sneaking forward, not sure who's with him, who's remaining or if anyone is heading back. Please define what your actions are in relation to Dalamus moving up the stairs.
The rogue moves forward up the spiral staircase until he can just make out the words above. He hears two voices, speaking in Common.
Dalamus:
The first, a raspy sound, like wind rushing over leather, says, "Would be challenger, your pathetic spells are useless here. If my guardian doesn't find you soon, perhaps I'll invite some friends along who may."
The second, "Nay, stay your hand, lich ... there are much more dangerous foes behind me. Let us work together to eliminate them and then you can measure me."
The first laughs, "I'm not here to test, sorcerer. I'm here to stop all who wish to pass."
You hear extremely heavy rhythmic sounds of something slamming on stone. It gets closer and then recedes. You also have heard Nowzai enough to recognize that the first voice has transition to a complex arcane incantation.
Also note that greater invisibility is 1/rd level, so those of you who cast that will have it worn off by now
Dalamus will sneak back downstairs and slowly instruct the others to follow him away from the stairs.
Dalamus speaks quietly to the group"Ok, there are two beings up there. The one we were chasing and one that he refers to as lich. The lich is here to stop all that come. The one that we were chasing was trying to get him to aid in stopping us. The lich laughed and started to use magic. That is when I left.'
"I say we let them bang on each other until one loses, then we go in finish off the winner."
"Then this may be a good time to retreat and rest. We can then clean up whatever remains of either the lich or demon." Nowzai ponders and adds, "Although, that would give them a similar chance to recover. Perhaps our benefit would be to confront them in a weakened state."

Epik nods at Nowzai, "The rakshasa will likely run from the lich just like he ran from us. We can deal with him if and when we have to. For now, let's rest and plan our next move."
Epik starts backtracking to find a defensible room.
We should not rest, but instead prepare for the fight(s). We should attack when the first battle is complete as this gives us our best chance of passage.

Epik will walk all the way back to the acid searching for any sign of Jenya or Kaurophon.

"We likely will have no choice but to press on without them. I am able to press on, if the group chooses to not rest. I'll defer to the spell casters."

I think Dalamus also stayed behind to loot (not sure how many rounds that takes), but my bow also only needed 11hp to be "not broken" so that could be just a few rounds for Jenya to stay as well.
I'm wondering if it's better for us to attack now as well. How is everyone doing, and how many spells are left?
It seemed like the demon was a fairly difficult opponent and might have caused the lich some problems.
Dalamus lingered one round to loot and Jenya would repair 1d4 per round if she cast mending every round. I'm confident in my ability to monitor my NPCs and I was very clear about tracking what you, the PCs, we're doing.
The party finds their own tracks and Nemoris distinguishes Jenya's and Kaurophon's tracks as they come together at the bow. Neither set of tracks depart the bow in any direction.

Epik shrugs, "Regardless, they are gone and we have no apparent means of finding them. We must all stay together to avoid losing anyone else. At this point all we can do is stay focused on our objective. Now, do we rest or do we press on and confront the lich?"
"Rushing ahead would be foolish, but now Jenya's life could be in danger if Kaurophon indeed betrayed us. Besides, without her blessing, we do not have the time to rest fully. We should press ahead, but cautiously and together."

"Thank you magma, but I'm fully healed already." He turns back to the others, "Onward to the lich then."
Epik leads the way back to the stairs. He pauses before going up to cast resist energy (fire) on himself and activating the divine bond on his weapon (+1, holy).
OK, progressing to the stairs again ... any other prep spells/abilities before you head in? We'll start round by round as soon as you emerge into the room (I'll roll for potential surprise when we start)

Sam will us his pearl to recall a Long Arms, use arcane points to recall Fly, cast them, cast Mirror Image on himself, use the wand of Shield and Pro Evil, and cast Haste on everyone.
"We should wait until they are done fighting otherwise we are going to have to fight them both at the same time. I can go up there and listen to see when it ends then we can go up."
Dalamus just has his sword drawn, no spells to prep
I will assume you scout before the litany of spells are cast.
Dalamus sneaks back to his listening post, but beyond the rhythmic dull pounding progressing toward the stairs and then away, he hears some growling and snarling but that's about it.
