Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

Is the lich in the fire? Can I attack him with my reach or will I get burned?

You will touch the flame if you attack him in melee.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

Ok going to wait to see if Nowzai learned anything else about the flames before I attack

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 10 / Loremaster 4

Is that an auto fail for the lich? ;)

Heh, no.

You'll probably fail spell pen anyhow. ..

-Posted with Wayfinder

I'll be nice though and allow the spell even thought there is nothing solid connecting the two. We will call the fire ... something solid.

-Posted with Wayfinder

Epik, you essentially only have to break one grapple. They gain a bonus to CMB for multiple grapplers.

Haste gives you an extra attack on a full round attack. Breaking a grapple is a separate action, so you wont get the additional attack.

Sam there are still some hounds and a mouther.

-Posted with Wayfinder

Epik, that is a successful grapple break. You still have a move action.

-Posted with Wayfinder

Actually, Magma will kill the mouther, so Epik won't have to break grapple. Epik can repost his action.

-Posted with Wayfinder

For level ups, I think I only have Sams and Epiks info. The rest of you, please complete.

I don't have dispel.

what do you think the dc is for that fire? just wondering if I have a reasonable chance to beat it or if memorizing it would be wasted

I'm not sure... Tike inferred that a successful dispel would suppress it, so it might be worth a shot.

Can we get an updated loot post when you can Magma, I think we have a ton of gear that we could use moving into this fight.

Nemoris: Need a 19 Dex to take Improved Precise Shot (and that's a 19 Dex without magical enhancement). Everything else looks fine.

Nowzai: I haven't been updating your spell book accurately. Can you send me the 7 divination spells that you learned for your prereq to Loremaster, so I can make the red flag go away. Also, I'm showing you short two languages still (from the headband). Found the feat I am missing.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

I am thinking about casting true strike on myself in round 1 and moving to an angle I can attempt to bull rush the lich out of the fire and to the ground. Anyone have any problems with that or any suggestions? I will be at a +32 CMB

Male Fetchling Slayer 7/ Red Mantis 5

Just be wary of Dalamus's warning. You don't want to run into a different fight

Dalamus, yes ... slow essentially removes haste and makes you normal.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

Is Greezcik summoned? He would need to roll a save to touch Nemoris as I think Epik cast pro evil on everyone

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

Dave are you going to Greater Dispell that fire? Once you try that if it fails I will use the wand of silence which hopefully will take him out of the fight.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

Also Epik I am going to try and bullrush the lich down to you the next round if you kill the thing on you, Magma, try and get over there too as long as you won't get Nowzai or anyone else killed by leaving them

Also Dalamus. You had haste from Sam. Slow dispels that, so when you use haste from your boots, you are hosted again.

Also, you should be getting 2 attacks on a full attack (1 at -5 gained at +6 BAB) so with haste, that would be three attacks. So technically, I need a third roll.

I just realized I forgot the hidden monster actions, so I will.roll them in the next round. Will be melee attacks primarily so no major issues.

Everyone should be posting. Sam, feel free to post your action as well as discussion board posts.

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 10 / Loremaster 4

Nowzai already used his dispel for the counterspell. I can recall it to try and dispel the fire, but did we ever establish that it would do anything? I'd hate to waste a 6th-level spell on trial & error.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

I didn't want to use Silence if Dave was going to cast dispel, that would have been a waste.

Dave - you were who had rolled high on the detect magic on the fire, I have no idea if it would work, I thought you had said it would, that was the whole point of memorizing the spell I thought.

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 10 / Loremaster 4

Yup... I did and just realized that I completely forgot. I would have done that as my first round's action too. =/ I'll recall and attempt a suppressing dispel next round... hopefully not with a crap dice roll.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

So round 2 or round 3?

Male Human Wizard (Conjuror) 10 / Loremaster 4

Round 2

Need some posts, folks. We can draw this combat out for a month or you guys can check every day and we can knock this out as quickly as possible.

Male Fetchling Slayer 7/ Red Mantis 5

I missed the Sam Haste

Sam, will you use the silence even if Nowzai's dispel is unsuccessful?

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

Yes, I just didn't want it to be dispelled as it's a low level spell but either way, fire out or not, having the lich not be able to cast some spells is a good thing. I am not casting it on him, so I don't think there is an SR check needed

Still need an SR check and a failed w
Will Save to affect him. The cast on him rule is a D&D one.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

Not from what I am reading. He only gets a will save and Sr if cast on him.

Items in a creature's possession or magic items that emit sound receive the benefits of saves and spell resistance, but unattended objects and points in space do not. Creatures in an area of a silence spell are immune to sonic or language-based attacks, spells, and effects.

Which is exactly how it played out when you cast it on us awhile ago, none of us got to save

You are partially correct, Will Saves don't apply, just Spell Resistance. Note, caster level of the wand is 3 with no stat bonus.

From PRD - See bolded text:

When Spell Resistance Applies
Each spell includes an entry that indicates whether spell resistance applies to the spell. In general, whether spell resistance applies depends on what the spell does.

Targeted Spells: Spell resistance applies if the spell is targeted at the creature. Some individually targeted spells can be directed at several creatures simultaneously. In such cases, a creature's spell resistance applies only to the portion of the spell actually targeted at that creature. If several different resistant creatures are subjected to such a spell, each checks its spell resistance separately.

Area Spells: Spell resistance applies if the resistant creature is within the spell's area. It protects the resistant creature without affecting the spell itself.

Effect Spells: Most effect spells summon or create something and are not subject to spell resistance. Sometimes, however, spell resistance applies to effect spells, usually to those that act upon a creature more or less directly, such as web.

Spell resistance can protect a creature from a spell that's already been cast. Check spell resistance when the creature is first affected by the spell.

Check spell resistance only once for any particular casting of a spell or use of a spell-like ability. If spell resistance fails the first time, it fails each time the creature encounters that same casting of the spell. Likewise, if the spell resistance succeeds the first time, it always succeeds. If the creature has voluntarily lowered its spell resistance and is then subjected to a spell, the creature still has a single chance to resist that spell later, when its spell resistance is back up.

Spell resistance has no effect unless the energy created or released by the spell actually goes to work on the resistant creature's mind or body. If the spell acts on anything else and the creature is affected as a consequence, no roll is required. Spell-resistant creatures can be harmed by a spell when they are not being directly affected.

Spell resistance does not apply if an effect fools the creature's senses or reveals something about the creature.

Magic actually has to be working for spell resistance to apply. Spells that have instantaneous durations but lasting results aren't subject to spell resistance unless the resistant creature is exposed to the spell the instant it is cast.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

ahh ok, that is under spell resistance, not the spell itself. Well hell, so I am at what a +3 on an SR roll?

I won't be doing that then, even with a 23 I know that fails and all it will do is screw us

Nowzai, same as Dalamus. You were hasted to begin with. Slow.just counters the haste.

I think you can still use items to bump up stats for feats, spells, etc. That is a change from 3.5, but check this out:

Permanent Bonuses: Ability bonuses with a duration greater than 1 day actually increase the relevant ability score after 24 hours. Modify all skills and statistics related to that ability. This might cause you to gain skill points, hit points, and other bonuses. These bonuses should be noted separately in case they are removed.

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/glossary.html#ability-score-bonuses

That being said, you're right on the other part, and I still don't qualify until I am at a 19 dex. I'm working now on what to do for the other feat, I may just take Many Shot.

Male Teifling Bladebound Magus 13 (AC 29 / Hp 127/ Init +7 / Fort +13 / Ref +14 / Will +13)

Would a bullrush interrupt a spell or does it have to deal damage?

Male Human R:1/F:8/DSniper:2 - || 115 hp || AC: 28 (T:18 FF:23) F13 / R11 / W6

crap, and I also screwed up manyshot on my attack.

so my 2nd attack is just a hit on ac 35 n(but no option to crit) and the 3rd attack is +10, like it should be. missed the edit by 5 minutes, or I'd have fixed it up.

Last attack is the rapid shot, so it should still be fine, but it does change the damage for DR reasons:

AC 35: 111 damage before DR, if he’s AC 30 or less then it’s 133, and 152 for AC 21 (which I’m guessing he isn’t)
