...Crap, I hope I haven't given the bossman any ideas!

I'm pretty sure giving the DM ideas always turns out badly.
I'd be happy to be proven wrong, of course...

Oops, I just realized I never responded to the gnome's offer of his spear! Didn't mean to ignore you, Ensu!
Sorry guys, I need to get ready for the wedding. I won't be able to post until this evening (PST).

Tell your sister that Random Person from the Internets said congratulations!

Mildly hungover and half-starved but I posted.
That's commitment!

I know the feeling. Also, I've got work for the next 8-9 hours so don't expect me to be too snappy about responding.

And only two typos for all that! That's impressive!
Edit: I hope you've gotten something to eat, though, because while we appreciate your commitment to post while half-starved, we don't want you to starve completely. 'cause then you wouldn't post anymore, and we'd all be very sad.
Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor 3
Indeed.
Also, I'm at work right now, so I'm gonna hold off on replying until I get home, around 5:30-6 EST tonight.
Hope you're feeling better when I see you next, boss! :)

So speaking of commitment and accountability and all... what kind of excuse is a wedding for not posting, anyway?
Isn't that what smart phones and stuff are for?
*hides*
I'm home but now I need to hit the gym to work some of the six gallons of jack and coke that I imbibed yesterday off.
I'll post first thing when I get back, sore or not!

Despite Pirknok's strong protests/threats, I'm okay either way... though I expect it'll be harder if we wait until tomorrow. Especially considering the goblins that got away...
It's up to you guys. Things will be slightly different either way.
Since you guys don't know me, I will tell you this. I tend to reward overly-ballsy stupidity/heroics over hyper-cautious spec ops operations.
I'm a major opponent of the 10 minute workday.

Edit: err, wait. I was remembering it backwards! You win by 1 point.

Next time, instead of giving us the opportunity to leave & come back, do something like have the Guards say "Here, take this armor & these weapons & get moving." The amount of time it would have taken for one of the guards to strip their armor & 'Ventus to don it would have been much less than us going all the way to the Armory & back.
Seriously, at this point, there really isn't a difference in how prepared the Goblins will be...
They are already as much more prepared as they will be in the next eight or ten hours, whereas Ensu & Ysme will have their spells/healing back by then & if Father Ventus is going to 'Speak with Dead' on either Tsuto or Lonjiku then he will have done so and we will have that more information as well. That was/is Ysme's argument. A properly trained Paladin will think of these things.

It was probably something like 5 minutes to get to the armory and back... I'd say less time than it took for the others to get Ameiko settled down and the body (and her) out of there.
Male Human (Chelaxian) Inquisitor 3
They're goblins without a leader. They'll be running around like chickens with their heads cut off for a good few hours.
Male Dwarf Barbarian 12 [ HP 62/185* (0 NL) | AC 28 Tch 13 FF N/A (23) | Fort +18* Ref +10* Will +10* | CMD 33* | Init +4 Perc +15 | Effects: rage, 2 negative levels ]
At least we hope they're without a leader...
It was probably about 10 minutes including the time it took to explain everything to Krojun, hustle to the armory, get re-equipped, and hustle back.
It's around 9pm now so if you're waiting for morning it'll be about 9 hours.

Ok, re-checking the map I realize the Glassworks is in the middle of the town.
Not even going to go into how bad an idea that would actually be...
For some reason I was figuring it was somewhere on the outskirts, which was why Ysme was arguing about time.
::sigh::
Disregard all my posts of Ysme arguing against then. Let's go.
There's something to be said for being the one outlying opinion.
Worst-Case Scenario: Things go horribly wrong and you get to say 'I Told You So'!

I have to deal with that enough in real life, no thank you...

Ensu could care less about the goblins at this point, it's the quasit and whatever allies it might have that worries him. He deliberately did not use any spells that he could avoid using because he had no idea just how much would be needed. We'll just have to watch our tactics and hope that we don't run into another rendering opponent, which along with uncooperative dice is what really hurt us in that last bit.
And honestly, while I get the whole idea of speaking with the dead, trying to rely on it in this case probably isn't worth it. On either Lonjiku or Tsuto, the chances of getting anything of value are essentially nil since neither seemed overly inclined to cooperate while still alive, and they would have even less reason to cooperate now that they are dead. Besides which for it to really work, you have to have some knowledge to start with; we really don't in this case, or least, we don't have anything would serve as a truly effective place to start asking questions. All we have is conjecture, random bits of information, and almost no confirmation on any of it. It's a decent idea to consider in the future perhaps, but not in this circumstance.
Outsider Phantom 2, HP: 18/18, AC 15 /t 11 /f 14, F 4, R 5, W 0, Init +2, PasPer 15, Darkvision 60'
However, in the case of speaking with Tsuto, if asked to describe 'her', his description will either match the description of Nualia that Father Zantus has, thereby proving to him that 'she' is who Ensu & Ysme believe her to be, or it will not, in which case we will know it is someone else misusing her memory for some reason.

Except that even if it worked, which is a long shot in and of itself, it's still not really hard proof, especially coming from an enemy. You're trying to convince folks who doesn't really want to be convinced because it means a great deal of things in their recent past are a lot messier than they want to admit; proving it, which may or may not accomplish anything of import, is going to take a lot more than a confirmation from the reluctant dead. The only way we will be able to truly prove it is by bringing them Nualia's body; anything else is going to be speculative conjecture that most folks in power around here really aren't interested in partaking in.
Again, I don't think that it's a bad idea in general, but I just don't see it being worth the effort in this situation. The party will be able to get the information they need from elsewhere, and the NPCs aren't likely going to be convinced by it, and even if they are, they won't be able to do anything about it. Even if it was someone else being an impostor, Tsuto wouldn't automatically know that, and so there's no guarantee that we would be able to catch the false identity. It's just too much effort for too little chance of getting anything meaningful out of it to pursue onstage. As an offstage action, it'd be a little better, but still not likely to get enough benefit to make it worth the NPC's while to do so.

Huh, Halberd's aren't reach weapons...
Correct. That's why the last goon had to provoke from Pirknok in order to whack him.

Eeh, still not liking the idea of defacing a statue of somebody I don't know without a better reason.
I'm trying something new.
Even though I'm proficient in MapTools I've been looking for a way to produce combat maps in a faster and more efficient way. I've seen people using google docs and I'm giving it a shot. I've added a link just below the campaign title.
Let me know if you can't get it to work. You might need to create a google account.

We had a big snowstorm here this weekend, so our group decided to have a "snow-in". We just finished gaming for ~10 hours solid. :P
Bunch of adults having a sleepover with hours and hours of gaming... fun stuff.

Sure
When you are a kid.
My suspicion is that many of us have well over a decade since we left puberty behind.

To be fair, it's been eight years since I was in Jersey. Though I'm only 27, so not quite a decade yet for me. ;)

So this is going to be a fun twenty-four hours for Ventus, did anyone make the knowledge check? Out of character I know what this is and what it does but I need someone with the appropriate knowledges here. The Paizo writers really love throwing them at players.

I have an out-of-character guess as well, but... we'll just have to do the best we can!

I still say it should have at least bought you dinner first, 'Ventus.
