Big V, if anyone knows Earthdawn, is something dangerous to be a fan of...

Ishta's spell goes wide, hitting the ceiling. Zane however manages to connect solidly, his mace crushing the half-orc's ribs through the armor!

I realize now I had the wrong orc attack last time. I've swapped them in initiative order.

The bardiche wielding half orc on the floor (red) in front of Ser Armithia turns beet red with range and spluttering creative invective picks himself up regardless of the danger represented by Ser Armithia's sword. He then makes to move away, all the better make room for his polearm, but he looses his footing on the slippery ground and suddenly his arms are windmilling to to say upright!
Acrobatics Check DC 10: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 <--- FAIL
Reflex DC 15: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 <--- Pass

To add injury to insult, Azarra nooks, draws and releases in one smove motion and suddenly the fletchings of an arrow sprout from his meaty shoulders!

Expecting nothing less (and appreciative if the spell), Ser Armithia brings his bastard sword down on the orc.

Hearing a satisfying tear of flesh, tendons and bone, the knight attempts to finish him!

Ser Armithia's sword bites deeply into the half-orc who roars with pain, and then more as he attempts to finish him. Yet the half-orc spat blood defiantly.

Kardas tried to take advantage of the other orc hitting an image, but his follow up spell fizzled and for once his thrust was misjudged. Ignoring Kardas and turning to something he can hit, he smashed his sword through Zane - biting into the young man's shoulder!

Posting an attack ahead of time because I likely won't be able to post tomorrow.

The orcs seem sturdier than what they looked at first sight!

Trying to quickly finish one of them, she goes the other will lose all of his punch.

Too engrossed in watching Ser Armithia carve up the orc across the room, Zane lost his focus and paid for it with a messy wound taken from the descending axe. Hissing in pain, the priest squared up and whipped his arm across to try to return fire, though his aim was off as the agony of his wound radiated throughout his frame. He hoped the creature had struck nothing vital, though it seemed as though he would be fine.

Heavy Mace: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Ishta sent her trademark pencil thin beam of utter cold into the fray striking the closest half-orc. He roared in surprise as a thin patch of skin on his chest froze solid!

Zane's focus wavered due to the pain and his counter strike strike was easily parried.

The bardiche wielding half-orc glances at the other one who nodded and then he gingerly stepped across the greasy patch, ducking Ser Armithia's blade as he did.

He barged through the door into a well appointed lounge. Light streamed in through a window to the west, adding to the orange light of a well-tended fire. Several rich leather recliners and other chairs and stools where centered around a statue of a nymph in chains.

The half-orc ignored these and started fumbling at the northern door, shouting in broken common, "INTRUDERS!"

Azarra shots point-blank into the melee, and her arrow clips the half-orc holding off Zane, slicing open one bicep.

Without hesitation, the elf follows the fleeing orc into the opened room.
20' Speed. Will someone please move him as close to the door on the left in the next room as possible?

The knight then readies an attack against any threat that ventures within reach of his bastard sword.

Readied Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 151d10 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Sword at the ready, Ser Armithia followed the half orc into the room, his movements hampered by his heavy armor.

Finding his inner focus, Kardas manages to compete his spell. The half-orc parried the first attack but he let himself open for the second one which bit deeply into his left arm. Not only was blood loss getting to the half-orc, but the magic of Kardas's spell was making his limbs feel leaden with fatigue!

Unsure of what Ser Armithia was shouting, his focus on the terribly wounded foe in front of himself and Kardas. Intent on lowering the enemy count, the priest again swung at the swaying half-orc, trying to finish the work of his other allies.

Ishta tries to look for a solutionbetween her wares, given one of the orcs was able to call reinforcements. It seems some friends might be coming, so they better be ready.

Producing a scroll of Summon Monster II

Ishta rummages around in her pack for a scroll, while Zane swings his mace with gusto. Unfortunately the by now heavily wounded orc managed to parry although his form is drooping due to Kardas's spell.

The orc to the north finally opens the door, grunts something rude and then levels his Bardiche and glares at Ser Armithia!

Kardas attention skips back and forth between the orc in front of him and the one that managed to get away. Impatience struggles with clear intent and so, his blade wavers somewhere in between.

What I meant was if the blade of the door opened to ourselves or to the other room.

Ishta unrolls the scroll and starts her summoning spell. She calls for a horse to be blocking the door, hoping it will take some time for the reinforcements to solve the problem - and maybe deliver a kick or two.

While the half-orc's strike was relatively easy for the priest to block with his shield, this foe was still tying up everyone who wasn't Ser Armithia, no matter how ineffectual the enemy's attacks were. Surely there were reinforcements on the way at this point, and it would be better if the group could rally around a single portal. Zane raised his mace yet again, trying to finally bring an end to the stubborn enemy before them. In his haste, though, he overcompensated and the strike was off again. The luck of the half-orc before them continued to hold.

I've labeled the doors. The green half-orc opened door E, after unlocking it, he pushed the door which opens into the room beyond. Hopefully that answers your question.

Ishta starts chanting a spell from her scroll, which starts to flare brightly with a blueish light as the magic contained within is activated and starts to consume the scroll! Meanwhile Zane found his focus wavering and his strike went wide.

The Bardiche wielding half orc retreated a step into the room so he could bring his weapon to bear. With a blood curdling scream he thrst forwards with his weapon but it hit the door frame instead, sending chips of wood flying!

Ser Armithia steps 5' toward Green. The knight saluts the cowardly orc, before trying to send him to Helm!

By now, Kardas is really done with the orc in front of him. No matter the damage caused, it simply seems too stubborn to die. "Auril have your breath!"

Azarra shoots the sorely injured half-orc once more but he stumbles unexpectedly causing her arrow to go wide. Kardas however anticipated something like this, and he brought his sword across in a flat sweep that parted the half-orcs head from it's shoulders!

Ser Armithia drew closer to the Bardiche wielding half orc, saluted him before decapitating him! As the pair of half orcs lost their heads, a trio thundered in to replace them. A pair of archers and a big bruiser armed with a two hand axes, half orcs the three of them!

Round 6

Ser Armithia grins beneath his golden helm. The gold elf lifts his bastard sword in a salute to the big orc.

Ser Armithia then takes a 5' step to the right.

Azarra double moves to get close enough to help with this new threat.

After finishing her invocation, Ishta hurries to the front lines, ready to cast one of her staple area effects.

Depending on the positioning, will try a Color Spray or Burning Hands next turn. When the horse appears, it should attack someone, or something.

As the stubborn orc-kin finally drew its last breath, Zane followed the others into the next chamber, attempting to join the valiant Ser Armithia before the new enemies could begin to try to overwhelm him.

Double Move

Ishta I'd prefer not to make that decision for you :) It's getting late I'll update us tomorrow.

Sorry, now I realise it was a bit unclear. The spell is to be cast next turn. The current turn it has been double movement.

The party draw closer as Ser Armithia brings Helm's judgement down upon the half orc before stepping aside to let Kardas or Zane engage the cur! His sword flashed with divine wrath as it hot, biting deeply leaving a seared wound and the stench of burnt flesh!

The half orc grunts in pain before screaming at attacking Ser Armithia with a blizzard of steel. The noble knight parries one blow but he left himself open for the offhand axe which managed to sneak in up through his armpit! In broken common he shouted to the archers, "THEY MUST NOT PASS!"

Zane growled in anger as the missiles of the archers hit the two women in front of him, even as he felt the sharp pain that signaled that Ser Armithia's defenses had been breached. The priest lunged forward, engaging the dangerous foe with the handaxes in an effort to help the gold elf take him down so the group could focus on the archers.

Azarra moves to stand on a chair to get a better shot. She shoots at Blue.

Oh, that's what happened. I was wondering why the archers were in the blackness. Okay... I moved it back to where I think it should be (correct me if I am wrong). Only change for me is that Azarra stays where she was, and doesn't stand on a chair after all.

Dang, I was willing to do an AoE on the archers but this damned orc is stuck in the way... Also, shouldn't there be a horse somewhere?

Ishta feels the path is blocked, so he changes strategy and tries a different spell.

Ishta casts Burning Arc on both archers. She spends 1 reservoir point to increase CL by 1.

Blue Archer, Ref DC 17 for half damage 6d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4, 5, 2, 1) + 6 = 26

Determined to end the stout orc, the knight steps to his ugliness.

Ishta moves into position and sends a brilliant arc of flame over the head of the hatchet wielding half orc to land among the archers. One of them managed to duck aside but the other took the full brunt of the flame. Their piercing wails rattled off the walls as they burned!

Zane rushed to Ser Armithia's side and swung his mace mightily but the half-orc parried his blow. He couldn't parry Ser Armithia's sword however, which once more sizzled with divine fury as it bit into him cauterizing a messy wound. The look of fear went into his eyes as his body was being consumed!

Azarra tried to loft an arrow over the tight knot of the melee but there was no clear angle and her arrow shattered as it hit the door frame. Unfortunately the melee is providing soft cover.

Kardas moves closer, in time to witness the hatchet wielder try to strike Ser Armithia. The man's arms move in a frenzy but Ser Armithia's armor proves indomitable.
