Oren Mitabu |
Oren was fine with Kurglun taking the lead. She would be placed directly behind the phantasm in the order.
Kurglunn the Runner |
Marching order in the map looks good!
With the questions finally out of the way, Kurglunn moves back out into the hall with a sense of relief. As the Ravens head toward their next objective in the room at the end of the other branch of the hall, Kurglunn makes his feelings known, "Don't like scary ghost lady. Scary ghost lady made Kurglunn feel bad! Nice singing lady make Kurglunn feel better?"
Elurius, could you use that scroll of lesser restoration on Kurglunn before he opens up these doors, please?

Scary ghost lady made Kurglunn feel bad! Nice singing lady make Kurglunn feel better?"
Elurius, could you use that scroll of lesser restoration on Kurglunn before he opens up these doors, please?
YES she can! Sorry she didn't earlier, I forgot about it yesterday and didn't have much of a chance today until now!
Elurius gives a look at the condition of Kurglunn and immediately reaches into her tiny purse, pulling out a small wooden chest. She snaps open two clasps humming a small tune and shuffles through the large number of scrolls in it. Finding the one that she wanted, she slides it out before closing the chest and sliding it into her small purse again.
She gives Kurglunn a commiserative pout, nodding at his words. ♫"Me too, me too. She wasn't living any more but still standing and breathing. That's not right. Oh and her making you not feel good was also not right! Here let me make you feel better!"♫
She looks over the scroll, sight reading the muscial notation taht she'd added under the words written on it, humming the tune to herself. She then opens her mouth gives a few throat clearing noises and starts in.
♫"I bring restoration
I bring restoration
I bring restoration
To your soul
I've taken your pain
Given it a new name
I've taken your shame
And in it's place, I give you joy!"♫
Lyrics changed slightly form this song Not sure if it's any good overall, I just listened to the first minute or so to make sure it fits
Ability damage healing: 1d4 ⇒ 1 Fudge biscuits of doom bells I knew it!
Elurius rolls the now empty parchment and with a spin turns and taps Kurlgunns other shoulder. ♫"Here's a little something extra just in case!"♫
Take a bull's strength (a +4) while you're at it!
♫"Alright now, we done dillydallying? I don't want to be down here with ghosts and other undead any longer than I have to be let's get going!"♫
Kurglunn the Runner |
Kurglunn feels only marginally better after Elurius's first touch, and is mostly just confused by her singing. When she gives him a second tap, however, he suddenly swells as his ectoplasmic arms and chest bulk out.
"Kurglunn is ready! Thank you, nice singing lady!" The phantom turns back and shoves on the doors at the end of the hall to force them open!
DM Elan Morin |
With a push of his ectoplasmic hands Kurglunn gets the double doors open.
Although the room in front of him is over sixty feet across, its seven-foothigh ceiling and curtained alcoves give it a claustrophobic feel. Squat rows of columns clutter the room’s central space, while each of the seven alcoves is divided in half by a moldering curtain. To either side of this curtain in each alcove sits a once-luxurious divan, next to a simple wooden stool and a low table supporting a grimy hookah...
Do you enter into the room?
Oren Mitabu |
Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Oren moves up behind Kurglun, taking a look into the room for anything off kilter.
Lirotha Karsani |
Lirotha conjures some magical Dancing Lights to trail after Kurglunn: 3 torch-like lights that spin slowly in random patterns.
Elurius Parthreon |
Elurius also peers past Kurglunn into the room ♫"Kurglunn, uh, you're a big burly spirit! Why don't you go in and keep us safe?"♫
She also looks for anything unusual.

♫"I like the stucco on the ceiling... Can't say much more for the deccor, looks like no one's cleaned down here in centuries!"♫
Rocco Hardweather |
"Looks a bit like a drug den to me," Rocco says, peering past his companions' legs. "Remember what Lorelu said? She said there was a trio of addicts who died in here that could pass their addictions to us with a touch. And they're incorporeal like her. So let's get ready for that. Kurglunn, let's go ghost, buddy!"
Kurglunn nods his head and his form begins to shimmer until it becomes immaterial.
Turning Kurglunn incorporeal, then he moves in.
Kurglunn perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Oren Mitabu |
Oren nods and uses an oil of Bless Weapon on her right fist.
DM Elan Morin |
Kurglunn notices 3 grey shapes roaming the dormitory near the corpses of 3 unfortunate people laying dead on their beds. The shapes seem uninteressed in him though and don't even recognize his presence.
Oren Mitabu |
Oren also drinks a potion of Protection from evil.
Current AC 23.
Lirotha Karsani |
Lirotha nods grimly at Kurglunn's scouting report, and pulls out her new wand.
"I don't have a large area of effect spell to attack these creatures with all at once, so we need to move in and try to take these creatures out as fast as possible. So let's rush in and take them by surprise if we can! Everybody, on the count of 1,2,3...go!"
Moved everyone into visual range on the map.
Lirotha points her wand at the first moving shape and attempts to trigger its power!
Use Magic Device(DC20): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 - Fizzle!
"Crap on a stick! Useless piece of junk!"
Rocco Hardweather |
Before moving in, Rocco drinks his potion of Hide from Undead which he had obtained long ago. He then readies a scroll of Purge Spirit.
As the group rushes in to launch their attack, Rocco shouts out to Kurglunn. "Alright, buddy! Time to back up and draw 'em out!"
Kurglunn moves back closer to the party so he doesn't get completely surrounded and isolated.
All actions assuming GM permits them.

Oren enters her Pummeling Style, readying an action to attack the first undead that enters her range.
Elurius Parthreon |
GM, just a warning, Elurius's Init has dropped from a +8 to a +4
Elurius grabs out her flag and quickly unfurls it reminding the rest of the group who they are and hopefully encouraging them. She then starts to cast a spell and reaches out and touches herself and then Kurglunn, Lirotha, Val and The Hound, empowering them against the evil that resides in the room.
Move to bring out the flag for Flagbearer and standard to cast Communal Protection from Evil. One minute for everyone but Oren (She has her own potion version up) and Rocco (who shouldn't be a target to the undead).
Knowledge Religion: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Rocco Hardweather |
Rocco reaches over his shoulder into the top of his new enchanted haversack. Within an instant, the edge of a scroll brushes against his fingertips, and he seizes it and pulls it out, unfurling it with a flick of his wrist. He reads the scroll and passes its magic into Kurglunn, whose already empowered arms seem to take on an even greater sheen of power.
Move action to retrieve a scroll of Magic Fang, then cast it on Kurglunn.

Not sure if it matters against other incorporeal creatures, but Kurglunn is currenlty incorporeal and has concealment. If that works against these guys, it'll be a 20% miss chance on that crit. If it doesn't work since the opponents are also incorporeal, then dang that hurt!
Also, did Kurglunn's readied attack hit anything?
Fortitude: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Kurglunn reels from the powerful blow he is dealt by the ghost. He retaliates out of fear as much as from anger, and his terror gives him unexpected strength.

Elurius gives a small eek of fear as the ghosts come closer, backing up into Lirotha for a second. Her eyes go wide as she sees the ghosts reach right through Val's armor and scrape along her skin. She timidly moves forward a step and starts to intone in a weak sounding voice, ♫"Shelyn, oh gracious and beauteous one, grant your divine protection on this... uh lawyer... yeah it doesn't sound good, but she's better than most, I promise... but please grant it so that her light might continue to shine and allow her to ... litigate in the future?"♫
