This Xorn seems rather untalkative an belligerent. You realize he was summoned here as a guardian and then chained to this room via planar magic of some kind, brobably a binding spell. Given that you know you won't be able to reason with the Xorn.

Desperate, Lirotha tries her Disrupt Connection hex on the Xorn!

*Disrupt Connection(DC16):
The hexer disrupts the connection between a summoned creature within 30 feet and its master. The summoned creature must succeed at a Will save or be confused for 1d4 rounds. While it’s confused in this way, during any round in which the percentile die roll to determine the creature’s confusion result is 76–100, the affected creature instead acts as if the hexer had summoned it (attacking the hexer’s enemies or performing such other tasks that the hexer can communicate to it). At 8th level, this hex causes the summoned creature to act as if the hexer had summoned it on a result of 51–100. At 16th level, this hex causes the summoned creature to act this way on a result of 26–100. The cackle hex extends the duration of this hex by 1 round. Once a creature has been the target of this hex, that creature is immune to this hex for 24 hours.

She tries her Slumber Hex instead!

Slumber Hex (Will:DC16):
A witch can cause a creature within 30 feet to fall into a deep, magical sleep, as per the spell Sleep. The creature receives a Will save to negate the effect. If the save fails, the creature falls asleep for a number of rounds equal to the witch’s level. This hex can affect a creature of any HD. The creature will not wake due to noise or light, but others can rouse it with a standard action. This hex ends immediately if the creature takes damage. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day.

Bite vs Oren: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17Damage roll: 4d6 + 5 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 5) + 5 = 22

Claw 01 vs Valrani: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20Damage roll: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Claw 02 vs Valrani: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18Damage roll: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Claw 03 vs Kurglunn: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26Damage roll: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

... this time Oren manages to avoid the creature's bite but Val and Kurglunn are not so lucky...

Booker: HP: 21/38; minor healing potion 3/5; AC: 20 (21 before first action); Fort +8; Ref +10; Will +7; Per +7

Feeling bones start to crack under the horrible things assault, Valrani redoubles her efforts to send it back to the place it was summoned from.

"Go Home!" she shouts

attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 2 = 25
damage(magic, blunt): 2d6 + 6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (5, 2) + 6 + 3 + 1 = 17

Oren continues her pummeling style, trying to punch her way through its resistances to damage two time she also has Kurgluun distracting it as well.

Flanking Attack 1d20 + 13 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 13 - 2 + 2 = 22
Damage 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Flanking Attack 1d20 + 13 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 13 - 2 + 2 = 19

If both attacks hit, Remember Pummeling Style allows you to total all the damage before subtracting for any DR.

It's immune to flanking. Focus on just hitting it and doing as much bludgeoning damage to it as possible. I think Acid will hurt it. Can anybody do Acid damage?

Let's hope the penalty to its dex is hurting its AC!

Praying to any god that would listen, Lirotha tries the wand again!

Use Magic Device (Wand of MM DC20): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Damage:Magic/Force: 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (4, 3) + 2 = 9

Fizzle!

"Crap on a stick! Any suggestions?!! None of my magic will really hurt it and this wand is tricky to use!"

Desperate, Elurious pulls out a scroll and begins reading/singing furiously.

Trying to cast HASTE from a scroll using UMD, targeting Oren, Valrani, Kurglunn, Talon, and Rocco. Question, she had her banner out didn't she?

Use Magic Device(Emulate Ability Score INT 13)DC13: 1d20 + 13 - 15 ⇒ (20) + 13 - 15 = 18

Use Magic Device as Wizard 5th(DC25): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

Crowing with delight, Elurious smiles furiously as the magic takes effect!

NOTE! Oren and Val? Elurious goes BEFORE the rest of you! If the GM allows, TAKE YOUR EXTRA ATTACK NOW! NOTE the +1 BONUS to hit and Dodge AC!

HASTE!:
The transmuted creatures move and act more quickly than normal. This extra speed has several effects. When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon. The attack is made using the creature’s full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can’t use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses. All of the hasted creature’s modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject’s normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature’s jumping distance as normal for increased speed. Multiple haste effects don’t stack. Haste dispels and counters slow.

Female 1/2 Elf (Varisian) Witch 7 (Cartomancer) | HP 39/39 | Speed 30ft | AC 13 (17 w/Mage Armor), touch 12, flat-footed 11 | Fort +4 : Ref +5 : Will +7 | Hexes: DC18 | Init +3, Perception +15 (Low-Light) | Active: Mage Armor

Talon, feeling the rush of spell from Elurious, and hearing the fear in Lirotha's voice behind her cursing, rushes the creature pulling out his mace on the way!

Move action to draw weapon, then 5 foot step and attack!

+1 heavy mace + haste: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 = 10
Damage(Magic): 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Can't win them all.

Booker: HP: 21/38; minor healing potion 3/5; AC: 20 (21 before first action); Fort +8; Ref +10; Will +7; Per +7

With supernatural speed, Valrani swings her massive staff around for a second blow.

attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 2 + 1 = 26
damage(blunt, magic): 2d6 + 6 + 1 + 3 ⇒ (4, 6) + 6 + 1 + 3 = 20

It slams into the creature with the force of a knights lance striking home on the charge.

Lirotha's magic wand fails her. Fortunately Elurius is able to corectly cast a scroll making her companions faster and more accurate with their strikes. This does not help Oren and Talon, who cannot bypass the xorn's armored shell, yet the magical boost works for Valrani who strikes not one but two powerful blows against the hardy opponent...

Tahkn you for using that scroll! I hadn't realized the fight was going that badly. She porbably should have pulled that out sooner. Might also need to buy a few scrolls of mass healing spells if these kinds of fights are going to be common.

Agreed! I was desperate. It was either that or the Shield Other scroll on Oren!

Male Halfling Spiritualist 6/Rogue (Unchained) 1 | HP 45/45| AC:18 (22) | T:14 | FF:15 | cmd:16 | Fort +7 | Ref +8 | Will +10 | Init. +3 | Perc:+12 | Speed 20ft | Spells: 1st (5/5) 2nd (4/4) | Status: N/A

Rocco hurries around the perimeter of the room and out again so he can get closer to Valrani and give her some healing and also give her a boost to her accuracy.

Move and cast Aid on Valrani
Val gets a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls and saves against fear effects, plus the temporary hit points I'm rolling below.

Aid Temp HP: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Kurglunn the Runner | Phantom (Fear) 6 (HP 46/46) | AC:20 (15 Incorporeal) | T:13 | FF:17 | cmd:17 | Fort +2 | Ref +7 | Will +4 | Init. +3 | Perc:+8; Darkvision 60ft | Speed 30ft | Manifestation: Ectoplasmic | Status: N/A

Remind me, are the doors at the other end of the room open?

Kurglunn switch up his tactics. He obviously can't hit this thing well enough to actually hurt it, so maybe be can help his friends hit it instead. He then steps away from the xorn so he doesn't get bitten into oblivion.

Full attack action to aid both Val and Oren's next attacks. Extra hit from Haste will be an aid for Val's AC. Then taking a 5ft step away.

Aid Val's attack (vs AC10): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 Success! +2 to Val's next attack vs the xorn
Aid Oren's attack (vs AC10): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 Success! +2 to Oren's next attack vs the xorn
Aid Val's AC (vs AC10): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Success! +2 to Val's AC vs the xorn's next attack

@Rocco: (1) Sorry for the mistake with the first attack. Kurglunn has 20 extra hp then. (2) No the doors you used to enter into the room are opened, those at the other end of it are closed. (3)Unfortunately aid another does not work that way. It's a standard action, so you need to choose one out of the three people you wanted to help and give that person the +2 bonus to attack.

Aid Another:
In melee combat, you can help a friend attack or defend by distracting or interfering with an opponent. If you’re in position to make a melee attack on an opponent that is engaging a friend in melee combat, you can attempt to aid your friend as a standard action. You make an attack roll against AC 10. If you succeed, your friend gains either a +2 bonus on his next attack roll against that opponent or a +2 bonus to AC against that opponent’s next attack (your choice), as long as that attack comes before the beginning of your next turn. Multiple characters can aid the same friend, and similar bonuses stack.

You can also use this standard action to help a friend in other ways, such as when he is affected by a spell, or to assist another character’s skill check.

Rocco magically strengthens Valrani while Kurglunn tries to distract the xorn who, despite his grievous wounds keeeps repeating his attacks over and over again...

Bite vs Oren: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25Damage roll: 4d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 5, 2, 1) + 5 = 19

Claw 01 vs Valrani: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32Damage roll: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

Claw 02 vs Valrani: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13Damage roll: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

Claw 03 vs Kurglunn: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28Damage roll: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Critical confirmation vs Valrani: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25Damage roll: 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

This time the creature almost kills Valrani badly mangling Oren and wounding Kurglunn as well...
