After securing the chest, the heroes make their way down the steps.

A single lantern hangs from a hook on the wall next to where the stairs enter this room from the north. Several rickety doors open into this room, and a few discarded dog pelt rugs lie forgotten in the northeast corner.

Not much here. Just going to give some time for everyone to do any last second prep stuff. We'll move forward tomorrow.

While the group gathers and decides where to go, Alexei prods around in the dog skins just on the off-chance there is something to see there.

"Let me," he whispers. "That way you can get the jump on him."

Bruin moves into position by the door. His face curls up in disgust at the particularly enthusiastic sounds coming from the other side.

He mouths to the others, "One. Two. Three!"

And with that the halfling throws open the door.

Rolling initiative momentarily. I'm going to treat this as a surprise round.

Dozens of ratty cushions, lumpy pillows, and rumpled dogskin furs lie heaped in the south half of this chamber, which smells of a nauseating mixture of vinegar and rotten flowers.

And inside you find a naked bugbear, having his way with three delighted goblinesses.

The bugbear is too stunned to react right away, but his goblin harem more than make up for his ferocity. The first goblin is immediately sliced in half by Beromar. The second goblin evades Beromar's strike and takes a shot at Viroleth with her rusty blade. But the nimble rogue dodges it, without fail.
