Ah, sorry.

Surprisingly so.

As you enter to take on the guards Ayre and Rocky combine to either put to sleep or blind the guards. Rocky swirls around in triumph, flashing his shiniest pebbles around the outside of his swirling maelstrom of rocks.

Bahrin's globe fails to trap one but Yuki's arrow drives hard into one of the guards who screams, terrified.

You realize it'd be very easy to get the two blind and relatively helpless guards to surrender.

The guards are more than happy to comply, dumping their weapons and coin on the ground before stumbling out, dragging their unconscious colleague with them by the heels. You hear their fervent pleas to Besmara as they feel the fog cloud on their skin as they beg to be kept safe from the restless dead.

Silence reigns in the fro t room momentarily until you hear a scream from outside that builds to cut off by a gurgle.

The hideous creature, a black cat with snakes growing from its back that snap at you opens it mouth and breathes a noxious cone of vapor across the lot of you.

Please roll Fortitude DC 17 or you're asleep! The other enemies are delaying until you roll to see if you're awake - for the bombs! As a note, the banister on the stairs is open to the floor below for those of you who make the Fort save and happen to be archers or wizards. It has nothing to do with bombs. Nope, nothing. Swearsies.

If the stairway is blocked and the orb can't roll up it, I'll hit the attacking henchman instead.

Meanwhile Ayre blasts the alchemist and one next to her with a lightning bolt. Maneuvering as needed to miss firends
