Jax Naismith |
Jax cries out in alarm as the ropes settle around him.
Question: Do those count as ranged weapons? If so, his gloves of arrow snatching can let him deflect one of them.
Edmin Al'Roth |
Edmin curses as the ropes find their target. "Did I not say the last thing we should do is take Thorn's item? I knew he would send this b$+&~es against us!"
The Dark Champion points at one of the sisters that attacked him. "Ragnar! Kill!"

They do and you can. Your gloves pull one arm up so that you snatch a rope out of midair; it wraps itself around your forearm but does no harm. So you're only entangled twice.
Edmin, you're entangled three times.
Thanks to Dren's magic, he's not entangled at all.

dmdm let me know when there has been enough racket to make me aware from my trance
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 init
Judge Tohram Quasangi |
Damage reduced by DR/10 unless the attack was magic and silver.
Init: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
The Judge stares at Tiadora.
B!tch. You will pay for that. Your mutts just ripped my shirt.
The Judge then calls on his arcane heritage to make everyone in the party slightly faster.
Cast Hast defensively - will get everyone within 30'.
Cast Defensively: 1d20 + 21 ⇒ (7) + 21 = 28 vs DC21 <-- +13CL +8 Cha.
He will then move toward Tiadora, ignoring the hounds and giving them attacks of opportunity.
AC44 with Haste
Dren of the Dark Tapestry |
Tiadora...how delightful. This won't be like the last time we met...you will find us...different.
Dren licks his lip then looks down and finds his hand has moved to his dark blade. A wide smile comes across his face.
I removed all of my per minute spells since I assume those faded out and just left the 10 minute per level spells going unless you think we have been in here more than 2 1/2 hours.

No, that's right -- per minutes are long gone, but 10 minutes/level spells are still good.
Ulp |
delay me until after Judge, Edmin et al, but before the sisters, it makes sense to me, that he is just now beginning to hear the racket, and Edmin's battle cry will shake him out of it. Good thing I can mix up the spell again, start over

The hounds both breathe in deeply... and then breathe out a roar of flame. Two breath weapons on the Judge -- and, Judge, your DR won't help against these.
10d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 5, 3, 3, 6, 2, 3, 2) = 27

Ulp Tiadora Hounds Judge Jax Edmin Dren Sisters
Edmin Al'Roth |
Haste +1 AC
Entangled: -2 penalty on all attack rolls and a -4 penalty to Dexterity
Edmin roars as he moves to attack one of the sisters at the end of the line.
Edmin will attack the sister Ragnar attacks unless the hound trips her, then he will attack one close to his hound.
Attack: 1d20 + 28 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 28 + 1 - 2 = 34
Damage: 1d12 + 32 ⇒ (10) + 32 = 42
Ulp |
Ulp vaguely hears the sounds of battle, frustrated he pushes away the burgeoning contact with his Dragon spirit, he feels the blast of Haste upon him and his tail lashes quickly.
He prepares himself to take to the air, and chugs down his shield extract and as he contemplates the idea of Tiadora's face as she learns that he has in fact found a way to make poison effect her kind he smiles, as he draws his blowgun, and reaches for his bomb supplies.

Reflex: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (12) + 29 = 41
The Judge growls:
Stupid dogs. Now you singed my robe. I really hate poorly trained mutts.
As above, the Judge casts Haste and then heads toward Tiadora.
Judge Tohram Quasangi |
The Judge is a lover, not a fighter. That is why he has all the social skills. Put him in a social situation, like subverting towns and cities, and that is where he really shines. For fighting, he usually just tries to avoid getting hurt as it tends to mess up his wardrobe.
Dren of the Dark Tapestry |
Dren moves back 20 feet before turning back. Peering into the darkness, the one beyond what the mere humanoids see, he sees the tendrils around Tiadora's mind...it is like a locked cage...but there is a small gap in her impressive mental defenses.
Forcing his way into her mind he seeks to end her threat once and for all, The Havero wishes to speak with you my dear Tiadora. The power of the creature as it bursts through this gateway and seeks her mind is like a giant among goblins, scattering her thoughts and crushing any it can find!
Dren casts Feeblemind on her. If she can cast any Arcane spells she takes a -4 on her save. The Havero affect is my Mythic spell focus. She makes TWO saves and takes the lower. The willpower save DC is 27 or 31 is she casts any arcane spells. 1 Mythic points used.
If she fails her INT and WIS are 1 and she can no longer casts spells and is basically an animal, though a loyal one.

Good point just in case spell penetration 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (10) + 19 = 29
What do I know about the kind of Demon/Devil she is?
knowledge planes 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (4) + 19 = 23 that might get some me details about her type and characteristics if her base type is CR 13 or lower.
Judge Tohram Quasangi |
The Judge once more shakes his head.
You could have been so much more. So sad it must end this way.
With that, the Judge slams the devil intending to slowly drain her infernal life force.
Attack-slam: 1d20 + 15 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 15 + 1 = 29 <-- +1 from Haste
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 <-- 2 negative levels if hit (only drains once per round)
Attack-slam: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 10 + 1 = 13 <-- +1 from Haste
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 <-- 2 negative levels if hit (only drains once per round)
Attack-slam: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 1 = 21 <-- +1 from Haste
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7 <-- 2 negative levels if hit (only drains once per round)
9 damage last round, heals 5 from fast healing
Jax Naismith |
Jax stretches out one hand and hurls a wicked anchor of force energy at one of the sisters. He aims to land next to one of them, trying to avoid provoking from all but one of them.
Force Hook Charge: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (15) + 20 = 35 vs touch AC. It hits for 15 force damage. Spell Penetration: 1d20 ⇒ 20 or 1d20 ⇒ 2 +15 (take highest).
Free Action: Activate Lunge, +5' reach, -2 AC
After landing in the air near one of the sisters and flanking with Edmin, Jax begins to lash out with his blade.
Hasted Attack: 1d20 + 25 - 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 25 - 4 + 2 + 1 = 27 for 1d6 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 26 - 2 = 29 and 3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3) = 9 sneak attack and 3 dexterity damage.
If that one falls, Jax switches to a different sister if they are within range. Jax does this as soon as an attack flays a sister dead.
Attack One: 1d20 + 25 - 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 25 - 4 + 2 + 1 = 25 for 1d6 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 26 - 2 = 29 and 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5) = 12 sneak attack and 3 dexterity damage.
Attack Two: 1d20 + 20 - 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 20 - 4 + 2 + 1 = 25 for 1d6 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 26 - 2 = 27 and 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3) = 12 sneak attack and 3 dexterity damage.
Attack Three: 1d20 + 16 - 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 16 - 4 + 2 + 1 = 34 for 1d6 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 26 - 2 = 30 and 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4) = 9 sneak attack and 3 dexterity damage.
Attack Three Confirmation: 1d20 + 16 - 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 16 - 4 + 2 + 1 = 29 for an extra 1d6 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 26 - 2 = 29
Entangled sucks :( Its -4 attacks and -2 damage for Jax. +2 for flanking, +1 for higher ground (yay flight!)
-2 on any attacks that switch to a different target in range. Also, sneak attack only applies to the first sister that Jax flanks with Edmin.
The tiefling is a blur of energy, his sword swinging left and right. A small burst of crackling electricity urges his motions to go faster as he draws from their mythic power.
Mage Strike: 1d20 + 25 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 25 - 4 + 1 = 26 for 1d6 + 26 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 26 - 2 = 30 and an expended Wall of Force for 10d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 6, 1, 2, 4, 4, 1, 5) = 36 electricity damage to a sister who is still standing within his 10' reach.
...A 3, 1, and a 6. I hate this damn dice roller.
Dren of the Dark Tapestry |
Dren of the Dark Tapestry wrote:Boggle... how are you getting +19 on your Spell Penetration roll?Good point just in case spell penetration 1d20+19
+15 for levels, Spell pen and greater spell pen for an additional +4.
Ulp |
oh good I must be up again if judge is acting, since I go right after him!!
Ulp |
Ulp smiles and summons his inner powers and immediately moves rapidly into the airs he passes near Tiadora, who I assume is within 10 feet of some of her other lackies, if not I will adjust my target, and from his invisible position launches a bomb, empowered by an accelerant and harnessing the power of poison which disperses into a cloud striking all around except for his allies
Using a single mythic surge on Fleet charge which lets me move full movement (fly+haste), and attack at any point during the move
1d20 + 22 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 22 + 1 + 2 = 40 vs touch/FF for 8d6 + 7 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 5, 1, 6, 3, 3) + 7 + 1 + (2) = 38 fire damage, all within 5 feet take 17 or ref 24 for 6 all within 10 feet except allies are hit with poison and must make a fort of 24 or take 1d4 ⇒ 3 Con damage. Note that I have a discovery that allows my poisons to effect outsiders that would normally be immune
Once there he reactivates his ring of invisibility, and moves to a position where he could make best use of a dragon breath attack a line attack.
Judge Tohram Quasangi |
Na, I thought all the bad guys went together. I did not realize that Tiadora and her adorable puppies went in one group, and the sisters in another. I think that the sisters are up to give you guys some sisterly lovin'.
Dren of the Dark Tapestry |
With Tiadora effectively out of the fight they should be much easier to handle. You should be able to dance with her for some time before she is smart enough to figure out to do something else.
Douglas Muir 406 |
Okay, since Edmin is attacking one of the Sisters, eight of them are going to pull out their bows (move action) and shoot at him. He's AC 33 at the moment, I believe. So:
1d20 ⇒ 1
1d20 ⇒ 3
1d20 ⇒ 18
1d20 ⇒ 5
1d20 ⇒ 11
1d20 ⇒ 16
1d20 ⇒ 10
1d20 ⇒ 2
That's two hits; damage is 2d8 + 14 + 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) + 14 + (1, 1) = 23
Now the one you're fighting in melee will pull out her sword. Screaming in rage, she lashes out at you: 1d20 ⇒ 8 but you parry easily with your axe.
Douglas Muir 406 |
The Judge once more shakes his head.
You could have been so much more. So sad it must end this way. With that, the Judge slams the devil intending to slowly drain her infernal life force.
Since she has reach, that subjects you to an AoO. 1d20 ⇒ 5 Bah. Okay, so slam attacks:
... actually, none of your slam attacks hit. Her AC is too high.
