Dervak:

You rise from the ground feeling almost possessed and in a swift motion you draw your Falchion and let out a roar as you turn to charge the fox. As you spin around you are first assaulted by the yellow fog, and then only moments after you feel the pain of a long blade thrusting into your stomach. You try to turn to see your attacker, but simply see a cape passing by, before the foe takes his final swing… As the blade touches your neck, the dark whisper, finally stops…

Theophilus:

Theophilus stumbles his way up the hill, his legs begin to burn as the hill seems to go on forever. A noise to his left draws his attention and on the wall he sees something, something written in..red ink? He quickly inspects the red ink and it begins to form a word, “me,” and Theophilus realizes that it is not ink, but blood. As he backs up from the wall he trips over a rock, or atleast he thought it was a rock. When he regains composure he sees that it is instead a head of a dhampir. Theophilus’ eyes widen and before he can react the mouth opens and screams “me,” in a distant low voice. When Theophilus looks up he is shocked to see a human, standing in front of him (Jayson). Unsure of what to do, as the yellow fog continues to inch closer and closer to him and this new stranger. Before he can act Theo is suddenly jolted by something running into his waist (Rinn). ..
What do you do?

Kenderella:

The path finally levels out as Kenderella continues to run full speed. The voice continues to goad her into letting it help her more. In between the moments of the mysterious voice she hears a splashing noise to her left. The wall reads “me” in bright red blood, and as Kenderella turns her head back to the road a half-orc head rolls out from somewhere. The half-orc opens his mother and a distant, strange voice begins to yell “me.” In the brief moment that she was stopped, the yellow fog has come ever closer, with the sounds of wings beating, foot steps walking, and a blade scrapping on the ground.

What do you do?

Rinn:

Rinn begins to make her way up the hill, and as she makes her way up it feels as if the hill is never going to stop. The yellow fog seems to move at the same pace, and the footsteps never seem to speed up or slow down. Despite this the fog always inches closer and closer not matter how fast Rinn moves.
Screams of agony, the sounds of steel cutting through a person’s flesh come pouring into her head from nowhere and Rinn begins to feel the presence of death and finally she hears a low, distant, but unnerving voice shout “me,” over and over again.
Rinn quickly shakes her head to make the voice stop, but when she looks up, it is too late, she slams into a tall man wearing a top hat (Theo)…

What do you do next

Vlad:

Vlad rushes the fog and within seconds is completely engulfed by the thick yellow fog. Vlad’s vision is minimal but he can hear the scraping of a sword behind him, he quickly turns to face his foe, but is instead met with a quick slice across his stomach. Before he can react another vicious blow slashes across his knees. Struggling to get up Vlad is able to get one foot back on the ground, and as he moves to lift his second foot he hears the damning sound of a sword swinging through the air. That instant, Vlad knew he had met his end…

Jayson:

You decided to let the voice guide you and you begin to run up the hill. This hill, at first did not seem to steep, but as you continue to run up the hill it almost feels that it keeps getting longer and longer. A noise draws your attention to your left and you see something on the wall. You move in closer to examine it and read the word “me.” For some reason you decide to reach out and touch the word and instantly you know it is blood. Backing up you kick something on the ground. You look down and see a half-orcs head lying on the ground. It opens its mouth and a low, distant rumble escapes shouting “me,” over and over again.
“You are not alone.” The voice tells you, and as you look up you see another human standing in front of you with a top hat (Theo) and suddenly a small Halfling appears and runs into Theo. Unsure of where the Halfling came from and how you are standing uphill from the man with a top hat, you remember the yellow fog. The sounds of footsteps inch near as the yellow fog continues to crawl closer.
What do you do?

Rinn shuts her eyes tight and waits for the fog to overtake her.

Theo alone:
With a panic induced resolve, Theo pushes up the hill. Glancing back, he notices that the green and yellowish sickly fog reminds him of someone, but the memory eludes him. The muffled footsteps continue to impress upon him a sense of preordained doom. The rumpled, but well-dressed gentleman quickens his steps up the hill.

A sound?
He turns his eager head in its direction; only to see a wall.
Is that graffiti? How drose!
But ever curious, Theo makes his way to see that its actually blood!
Oh, my stars and garters!, the frightened gentleman announces, tripping over a rock.
A skull! The wide-eyed look of terror developing on his face twins poor Lorac on the ground!

Glancing up to see another body standing suddenly next to him, Theo yelps, They found me!...before his pale blue eyes notice that something is not quite right.

Before he can ponder that further, he is assaulted by a child.
Looking down he looks at both strangers before doffing his top hat and asking,

Why is a raven like a writing desk?

Theo wears a large top hat with a hatband reading "In this style 10/6".

He dresses in flamboyant, but impeccable finery. The color combinations seem to be just off; from his brown suede top coat to his black and grey pinstripped pants to his multi-colored socks;and from his bird and flower printed ruffled shirt to his bright orange-dyed mop of hair. The style also seems just late of fashion.

He has a constant big grin that doesn't always match his expressive and piercing blue eyes.

Theo stands just under 6' and weighs roughly 170 lbs.

The strange gentleman then smiles at the two new comers...

A half-orc, shouting the word "me" over and over. Then a halfling. Then a...man in a strange tall hat? What sorcery or devilry was upon them?

::Calm yourself woman, it's not your head.:: The voice in her head is angry and impatient. It doesn't like that she is right about that she doesn't have time to stop.

On she runs and strange images flitting through her mind. Of fighting alongside animals and making her enemies slip and slide. She knows she can do these things, but it doens't help her here. What can I even do against this fog? Her head swings all around as she looks for help while she runs on.

Theophilus:

The other man's words bring you back to the present moment and remind you of the fog that is quickly approaching you. You turn to run to realize that something is missing, something just doesn't seem right. You turn to see the small halfling, with her hands held out, be engulfed by the ever moving fog. A split second later she is no more, and the only thing you hear is a slash of a blade and a thud... You turn quickly and continue your decent up the hill. As you top the hill a large half destroyed wall is directly in front of you, with the word "up," dripping in blood. On a spike below the wording is the little halfling's head with distant eyes. She opens her mouth and screams "up."
What is your next move?

Jayson:

After encouraging the others to run, you continue your trek up the hill. The man in the top hat is next to you in moments, however you soon realize that the female halfling is nowhere to be found. Upon realizing this you turn to see her embracing the yellow fog as it engulfs her. Before you can speak you hear the all to familiar sounds of steel slicing through flesh and bones. The other man gives you a tug and you continue up the hill. As you top the hill a large half destroyed wall is directly in front of you, with the word "up," dripping in blood. Kenderella:

You continue along the winding road as the building slowly become more disheveled as you go. As you look ahead it seems that the road never ends, you run as fast as you can and still the fog slowly makes its way towards you. No matter how fast you run the slow, methodical footsteps never speed up but never seem too far behind. Another fork in the road presents itself, both looking like never ending roads. The road to the right or the road to the left?

Still...the command is not one he feels compelled to ignore, even though it was given by the bodyless corpse-head-on-a-pike, and so he continues upward, giving the other fellow with him a tug on the collar. Theo and Jayson:

As you continue to run you begin to get the sense that there is no end in site. The streets and the city appear to go on forever, and the fog is always right behind you. The sounds of footsteps continue on in their slow, methodical pace that cannot be outrun. When you round another bend you come to see a familiar sight, the word "save" is painted on the wall in blood. You both quickly look around for a head... Ashamed we haven't been properly introduced. I am Theophilus Carter; crafter of hats extraordinaire!

You both prepare for the yellow fog to reach you. The slow footsteps continue to get closer but as the yellow fog begins to surround you, you cannot see anybody else. The footsteps can be heard all around you. Spinning around, neither of you are sure where the steps are coming from. Without warning, Jayson looks down to see the point of a sword through his stomach. As Jayson hits his knees and coughs up blood, Theo rushes to him. As Theo is about to speak, Jayson's eyes grow wide as the sword swings towards Theo's neck. With one swoop Theo's head comes clean off and his lifeless body hits the ground....
Peering down to look at your wound, you realize your blood is making a word on the ground... As the word comes into view you hear the familiar sound of a blade flying through the air....

All:

"WAKE UP, SAVE ME!" you all hear as you begin to wake. The cold, hard ground greets you as you come to, and you realize that you have no idea where you are at, or how you got here. You do realize that you are in your under garments with nothing on you. Before you can further examine your surroundings you hear "HELP, SAVE ME."

There is a man tied to the table in the middle of the room with cuts all over his body. A "female" is hunked over a small table sorting through various "surgery tools," talking to herself.

Pretty sure you don't have a crossbrow

No! Kendrella screams in her mind as the feeling of a blade tearing into her neck lingers. She twists as if to get away from the blade. When nothing happens, no pain nor blood, just the cold hard floor directly against her nearly naked skin she's quite surprised. The half-elf doesn't have any more time to dwell on her own uncomfortable circumstances as the voice grabs her attention.

The girl gets to her feet as swiftly as she can manage and she manages to bruise a knee against the coarse stone on the way up. "Ouch!" Her startled exclamation comes in a low voice as she doesn't want to draw more attention to herself than necessary. ::Your soft pliable flesh might be nice to play with, but mine offer superior protection. Call on me and my power is yours. I'll protect you, also against such scrapes and bruises.::

There it was again, the voice from her dream. I remember running in the dream and the voice talking to me. But before that? ... Nothing.

Not much time had passed while she was busy with not quite her own mind, but finally it was time to turn her attention to what was going on outside. Her eyes are immediately drawn to the man with the many cuts. A feeling of familiarity fills her, but no memories comes to accompany it, instead the voice booms out again. ::Take advantage of his weakness! Rip him to shreds! Do it now.::

What the voice suggests feels wrong to her. I shouldn't take advantage of the helpless, I should help him. But can I help him? ::Call on me and I can help you. Maybe we can even break these bars!?:: Or I could summon a creature to attack the woman. The thought comes unbidden to her and she wonders where it came from, but as she thinks it, she knows it is true.

Let's see how she responds to the half-orc first, then maybe I can summon a creature on the other side of these bars. She walks up alongside the pale man. She's a stark contrast to him, his hair is black while hers is beautifully blonde. Normally she would be considered pale, but even the hint of color she has looks like a lot alongside him. His muscles are well defined, while she's all soft flesh and curves.

Well, as expected, that didn't work. She doesn't think we are a threat to her behind bars. ::She's wrong though. Even in my manifested form I might not be able to reach her, but you can also use our connection to call upon fiendish animals in my place.:: Somehow Kendrella knows he is right, she's fairly certain she has done it before, even if she can't remember. Something about what he said seems off though. Does it have to be fiendish animals? She wonders.

When the halfling and half-orc start their ruckus, she knows it's time to use her powers. I think they are trying to goad her closer for something. She focuses hard an envisions an animal. It's as large as a man, but got four legs with hard hooves at the end and no arms. It got a long neck with a beautiful mane, the same color as her hair, all along it. Pony. Again the word comes unbidden, she doesn't know how she knows, but she does. Good creature, good, good, not fiendish. She chants silently in her head as she tries to go against the thing the voice in her head said that felt wrong.

A couple seconds later, it's there, right outside her cell. Indeed the animal isn't fiendish, it's covered in a soft golden light, making its light brown fur appearing to glow. Kendrella immediately lets out a whining sound and points violently towards the nurse. "Rush her down!" The aggressive command is quite at odds with her beautiful melodious voice.

Theo turns his head to look at the happenings.

He sees the "nurse".
He sees the others across in their own nice cells.
He notices the commotion being caused and thinks, I wonder if I should join?

After a mere moment, the nearly nude gentleman (I do want my hat back!) stares intently at the nurse.

I make this post on the assumption that the room is somewhat dark. If that's not the case, please let me know.

Getting to his feet after taking a few moments to get his bearings, Jayson hears the voices of others in the room, then finally turns his eyes on the others with him. It's dark, though...too dark to make sight easy, anyway.

He still didn't know where he was...in fact, his last memory was of being in Absalom, and he clearly was not there. At least not any part of Absalom he'd ever been in! In fact...his hands looked different from his last memory of them. When he spoke, he suddenly started and went quiet. When had his voice gotten that deep?

None of that mattered. What mattered was getting out of this prison and away from this strange creature that apparently had intentions of the less-than-good kind!

Gripping the bars of his cage, he calls aloud,"Sarenrae's light be upon you!" The bars immediately flare and begin shedding light around all of them, as a would a torch.

"I told you to shut it you runt!" The nurse makes her way towards Rinn. As she approaches Dervak attempts to grab her however, she is too strong and deflects his attempt. She turns at the last minute to see the Pony attempting to bullrush her. However, she stops the pony dead in its tracks before it can hit her.

When Theo glares at her, he is surprised to realize that it has no effect on her.

A ball of light emits from Jayson's hand and lights up the room. The sudden light makes the nurse shrill as she attempts to cover her eyes.

Rinn you have a chance to pickpocket her. Roll a DEX check.

Kendrella winces as the pony takes the grievous blow. Her summon still stands though. It needs no direction to try to stamp down it's attacker. Before it attacks, it's normal docile eyes flashes with holy light as it prepares to smit the nurse

critical confirm pony: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5 damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

When Kendrella sees Rinn open the cell with her stolen keys hope surges through her. It's quickly put a damper on by the voice in her mind though. ::Should have summoned me first. Now with the pony here we'll be unable to fight effectively. You see how easily she manhandles that pony.:: Uncertainty fills the half-elf in response to his words, but still she answers back. I don't think we had the time for that. We'll do the best we can given the situation.

Kendrella looks over to the pale man and says in a beautiful melodious voice. "I'll give you a little boost if you find a way to contribute in the battle." She takes a step closer to him and delivers a light touch on his arm while chanting. Her voice while chanting is quite different from before, harsh and guttural, the stark difference from before makes it extra jarring to come out of this sweet girl. There is the briefest flash of red light right as she finishes.

I was under the impression she was grappled. If she is then I shouldn't need to make an acrobatics check.

Dervak is no scholar, but he is not stupid either, and has a predator's cunning. He is surprised by his opponent's strength. No ordinary human. Something more. Should I...? No.

Despite Dervak's best efforts to hold her still, the nurse is able to burst out of the grapple with little effort.
"I will not go down so easy my subjects," cackles the nurse as she prepares herself for the fight.

I have checked the internet to make sure I did the break grappling right, as it seemed far too easy for her to break out.

Yeah, breaking out is rather easy unless you have very high CMD, a monk can get it quite high though. She would have failed if Theo lowered her attack rolls with evil eye or someone demoralized her with intimidate. I do wonder where Vlad have gone off to, I hope we haven't lost him already. In this case a natural 20 obviously hit, but I still like it if the GM describes if our attacks hit or not, it adds to the immersion.

flanking hoof: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9 damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
flanking hoof: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1 damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Despite the creature breaking off the pony still does her best to try to stamp her under her hard hoves. Sadly one goes way wide and the nurse easily sidesteps the other.

"Now that we are free you won't manage to keep us locked up. We'll take you down for sure!" Taunts Kendrella as she tries to shake the woman's confidence. ::If you had called upon me, that might actually have been true too.::
