DM Carbide |
It looks like the boards have settled down for now, so I should be able to get a game post up.
Arien Keyne |
Arien, you posted in the Discussion thread.
Whoops.
DM Carbide |
I've had days like that.
DM Carbide |
I had a bunch of family and friends visiting from out of town, and haven't been able to post. Will try to get something up after the last round of visits tonight.

I'll be traveling most of tomorrow through the weekend, so posting will be sparse.

I'm off on a weekend camping trip (fortunately not in the lands where a bear might eat my face).
Master Temperance |
Oh, speaking of which, I'm off to backpack from 7/23-7/29, and I will be in areas where a bear can eat my face. Or probably my food. I will bring the Bear Canister of Invulnerability. In the meantime, bot me and toss me like a dwarf!
Arien Keyne |
Bear rolls for initiative…
DM Carbide |
No worries. Since I'm going to be on vacation and mostly off the grid for the first two weeks in August (unless work turns truly horrendous in the next day), and at a conference for most of the week following, let's break until Monday, August 21 at the latest. (I may be able to get something up the previous weekend, but don't count on it.)
DM Carbide |
Back from camping and conference in relatively good order. Now, though, I have to look up that trap....
DM Carbide |
Roger that. Have fun!
DM Carbide |
Huc's player is having, AFAICT, an attack of Real Life. What do you think he and Fynn will be doing?[/ooc]
Arien Keyne |
Yeah, I’ll check on him. Probably just bot his saves, and attack the nearest kobold, if possible.
DM Carbide |
Thanks, and keep me posted.
DM Carbide |
No problem--I've been swamped at work (and also took on running Godsmouth Heresy for Game Day VI; a little foolish in hindsight), so being able to step back from a campaign for a bit has been a great help.
DM Carbide |
Between the boards' unreliability and my work, I haven't had a chance to post much recently. Then today, my work finally got around to blocking the rest of the Paizo site, so I no longer have access to the boards during workdays. Although I can still post from my phone, it's a right pain these days with the Wayfinder app not working. I'm going to focus on getting my Game Day game wrapped up, and then I'll have more time for this.
DM Carbide |
Unlikely to; I'm still wrapping up the GD VI game, and yesterday was my anniversary--my wife and I went out for dinner, so no chance to post.
DM Carbide |
Thanks again for everyone's patience. GD VI is in the books, the US Thanksgiving holiday is just about done, and since I am laid out with a major cold I have some time to catch up.
DM Carbide |
I haven't been able to push things recently due to a small fire at work last week. Unfortunately, it happened less than two weeks after a small fire in another building, and since both fires had causes that sounded similar on paper I've been having to deal with a very detailed investigation, and organizing a cleanup. Luckily no one was hurt or contaminated.
DM Carbide |
I may have some time to post tomorrow, but after that I'll be extremely intermittent until the 27th or so. I wish you all a fine holiday, whatever you celebrate.
Rowane |
I’m not able to do a full post right now, but I have a question. Can these chronicles be applied to any appropriately leveled character? Or does it have to be a fresh character or something?
We treat it as if we are running pre gens and attach it to any character in appropriately in tier for the chronicle.
DM Carbide |
Don't I know it.
Hey, any of you hear from Lekku lately?
DM Carbide |
Childbirth is an excellent reason to cut down on posting frequency. Congratulations! Hope everyone involved is healthy.
DM Carbide |
BTW, before I get the chronicles out is anyone *not* doing normal progression?
DM Carbide |
VMC is free; you get its benefits in addition to your normal feats.
Huc. |
Huc is pretty much leveled up. Skills went to the same type of stuff as I've been investing in. MC Barbarian came into play to give Huc 4 rounds of rage, which i boosted by picking up Extra Rage as my level 3 feat.
I'm hoping to get some gear upgrades, but am waiting to make sure I know how much gold we each have to work with. :)
And, worth noting, Fynn the mutt continues to be the group's actual tank ... his Strength bumped up to 18, and his AC went up to 22 (before gear improvements). Soooo ... yah, we should treat him thusly.
And Arien, I don't know what your plans are for your level 3 feat slot, but I got a bonus feat to go towards a Teamwork feat, and whatever I select Fynn benefits from, as well. So if you wanted to pick up Stealth Synergy or something, I coudl grab that and you could always benefit from that with Fynn as a scouting buddy (to go along with his very useful Scent ability and decent Perception/Stealth mods).
Food for thought, but by no means a demand. :D
Huc. |
DM Carbide: one thing worth noting. For Fynn's new bonus trick, I want to take Vengeance Strike from the Skirmisher list.
The goal is for Fynn to do well in that tanky role. A couple of times per day, it should let Fynn take an immediate action to make an attack against an adjacent enemy who makes a melee or ranged attack against one of his allies. So, hopefully, if I can get him into the fray, he can help protect the team.
Let me know if you're cool with that. And given that it's an immediate action, how you want to handle it in PbP (where these types of interruptive abilities can be wonky to adjudicate on the fly).
DM Carbide |
Sessions should be reported, though I've been a bit busy to get the chronicles together. Soon!
Incidentally, if you apply all three chronicles to the same character, they get a fourth chronicle sheet with some goodies.
