“I--I don’t understand,” Trianne says, her tone more reflective rhetoric than anything. “What just happened?”

She touches the knot on her forehead gingerly and steps back a bit as folks start making their way toward the nearby door.

SW doors it is!

Ensuring everyone is ready and in position by the SW doors, Haftor opens them.

Rise of the Runelords Pt2|RotRL Pt 3| Giantslayer|Emerald Spire| CORE Emerald Spire

The room on the other side appears once to have been an armory. Rows of barren shelves, empty weapon racks, and vacant armor stands skirt the perimeter of the chamber. Interestingly, it's lit by several candles. Perhaps more interestingly, the candle stands are set in a circle enclosing a headless skeleton on the floor in a sand pit. Arcane symbols and strange, jagged runes are drawn in the sand in something that looks like blood. A life-sized painting of an obese male human hangs on the wall at the far end of the room, its eerily realistic gaze boring into the chamber. Three large humanoids also occupy the room--two are close to the door, while the third hangs back. The one in the rear is surrounded by multiple images of itself. That one also has runes scarred into its body.

Jarrek recognizes the creatures as ogres.

Jarrek, I just rechecked the charge rules, and I underestimated the difficulty of a charge. Basically, if any line from your starting square to your destination square passes through an obstacle, you can't legally charge. Most of the lines from the top left corner of your current square go through the wall--you can only charge due south, pretty much.

Male Dwarf Warpriest 6, Orc Hewer (AC: 22 [26 against monsters of the giant subtype], HP: 56/60) Giants Slain: Cave Giant x1, Hill Giant x3, Hill Giant Skeleton x1, Marsh Giant x1

Jarrek - I can't take my actions until after the baddie goes. If you delay waiting for me, you'll lose your turn this round.

Thanks Haftor but I can't get there anyway.

Gonna ask for DM ruling on this first. Jarrek can lift 900 pounds over his head. A normal ogre body weighs 650 pounds. Can Jarrek lift and throw one of the dead ogres as an improvised thrown weapon (10 ft. range increment, -4 to hit)?

Human Ftr6 | HP 70/70 | AC 26 (T 12, FF 24, CMD 22; 23 vs Sunder/Disarm, 28 vs Trip/Grapple), +2 vs giants, +Teamwork| F +7 R +5 W +3, +Teamwork | Mv 20' | Init +3 | Per +6

@Jarrek, why not just finish off the bat? Throwing a two-handed weapon is a full-round action if you have it in hand, so even if there were just a Medium greatsword (8 lbs) lying on the ground by the ogres you would not be able to move there, pick it up, and throw it in one round. Let alone trying to throw an ogre. Actually if it was even a dagger on the floor you wouldn't be able to move there, pick it up, and throw it. But since you have a dagger on you, you could draw it, 5' step, and ready to throw to interrupt casting.
