So the Scales you found are a free item for the party. There is one for each of you. Anyone who touches them immediately understands what they do. I'll leave it to you guys to divide them up.
I would be interested int teh glittering one, if only to use Glitter dust as a way possible to run through possible AoO to reach people for healing purposes, I could see how the levitate one could be useful too though. Heck I'll be fine with whatever no one else wants for that matter iw ill find some way to use it
For Kyra, the Sacred Weapon would be good for overcoming DR and such. I'd be interested in the Glitterdust one as well, or the Resistance. Heck, they are all pretty awesome.
Kyra's preferred, I think, would be the Sacred Weaponry though. If others are interested we can always work something out.
Farak would prefer the Resistance or the Spiritual Weapon scale, though I'll take any.
Also, I'm just starting a 10-hour drive, so if my turn comes up, I'd like to move off to the side and swing! Feel free to GMPC me!
I'll be working on some arrest paperwork and then hitting the bed by 10am Central. If you guys need to DMPC Kyra as well to keep things moving, she'll continue ranged attacks.
Also... I'll be coming off midnight shift on Jan. 1st so my posting will be much more normal in a few days!
I don't know which scale does what, except what I gathered from the posts above. I guess I take what I get and figure out a way to get some use out of it.

I posted my next move because I will be away from a computer for the next 4 or so hours, didn't want my ally to be placed in a bad spot waiting on me.
I could go for the sparkling scale. It would give Carilain an additional ranged attack. They are all pretty cool though, so if someone else can use it better, it's fine.
Reposting the Terendelev's scale abilities for ease of access. Also I'm compiling a list of which character would like which scale. So far the only one no one has expressed any interest in is the disguise scale. Though, we still haven't heard anything back from Alesie and Aurora.

Description
Each of Terendelev's scales grants a different power to the person who carries them. The powers granted do not function at all if more than one scale is carried. The powers of the six scales are listed below-any nonevil creature that handles a scale immediately understands its use.
Cloudwalking: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast levita te. A pillar of roiling clouds rises below the levitating object or creature, growing and shrinking with the target's altitude. This pillar is 5 feet in diameter (regardless of the target's size) and provides concealment (20% miss chance) to any creature or object wholly contained within.
Disguise: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast alter self. While disguised, the target gains a +4 bonus on all Bluff checks made against evil creatures.
Resistance: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast resist elements-but only against electricity or cold.
Sacred Weaponry: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast align weapon, but only to make a weapon lawful or good. Unlike a normal align weapon spell, this effect can be cast on an unarmed strike or natural weapon.
Glittering: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast Glitterdust, however creatures that fail their save are not blinded, but suffer a 20% miss chance on all attacks for 19 rounds.
Sparking: Three times per day as a standard action, a scale can be used to cast Deadeye's Arrow, the arrow may be used as an attack dealing 1d6+5 electricity damage or as a beacon (see spell text)
Destruction
The Storm King Khorramzadeh can destroy each of Terendelev's scales merely by eating it.

I think Kelden could get more use of of the Glittering than Kyra, and I think Farak would get a lot of use from the Resistance as he is going to be our meat shield. Kyra's preferred would be the Sacred Weaponry, but I can see usage for any of the scales.
On an unrelated note... I tried hitting the forum with this question, but never really got an answer, so I wanted to get your thoughts Striker. I've been looking over the mythic feats I would like to take for Kyra and I'm looking at Mythic Vital Strike. So the question is this... with MVS when you confirm a critical hit is all the static damage multiplied by the weapon critical modifier? Or is the base (what you'd use on a standard attack) static damage modified and then the MVS extra damage added to it?
For Example with a scimitar and damage bonus of +6 w/ MVS would be 2d6+12 on a standard attack. So, would the critical hit be
A) 3d6+24 (1d6 scimitar, 1d6 critical hit, 1d6 MVS + 12x2)
or
B) 3d6+18 (1d6 scimitar, 1d6 crit, 1d6 MVS + 6x2(Crit) + 6 (MVS bonus damage)

Just curious. I know that's a long ways away before Kyra even gets to that point, but I wanted to get an idea and see what your thoughts are Striker.
Alright, the only scale that isn't appropriate to Aurora is the disguise one (she already has an alter self spell-like ability).
Quick question: Would the user be able to use its power on another target? The align weapon spell, for instance, allows the caster to touch any weapon and provide its benefits. Same goes for levitation, etc.
Yes the scales cast the spells and as long as they aren't personal only spells they work. Only 3/day though.

The only scale that would not be useful to Carilain is the Sacred Weaponry. It would be fine till he hits 3rd level, then would become more and more redundant. So I'm fine with what I have or I could trade with almost anyone who wants the sparking scale.
No objections at all. I like disguise as my scale.
I vote north... it feels like heading up, then again we could scout both paths i guess up to our scout i suppose.
Kyra will follow whichever way the groups decides, she's not an underground explorer by any means.
Also, added my arrows to the profile sheet (18 now that she broke 2... dang it!) and Terendelev's scale to the profile and character sheet. Also, I just realized Kyra doesn't have any rations... so hopefully we find our way out of her before too long. Oops.
Must be a follower of Sarenrae thing... i dont think i purchased any either. The goddess will provide i am sure >.<

Rats! I posted with the wrong character. I think there is a way for you to delete the character if you want, GM Striker. Of course I'll probably do it again sometime.
On food. Carilain has 1 days trail rations. Have to keep my load light.

Trail Rations 7/10 - Kyra will take 3 days of trail rations.
Flint and Steel - Alesie.
Caltrops - Alesie.
Two flasks of oil - Alesie.
Arrows 10/12 - Kyra will take two arrows to replenish the ones she's lost.
Pot Cure Light Wounds - Farak.
Pot. of Lesser Restoration - Kyra will hold onto that unless someone else would like it.
Carilain will replenish the arrow he used. I think it was only one.
Farak would like to take some rations as well, since he had none on him.

yes? assuming the others wish to as well. I would love to pray and shift my memorized spells about a bit, since i can spontaniously convert them to healing if need be and i have a bit better an idea what to prepare now.
I wouldn't mind a little RP time for the group, assuming everyone else is okay with it.

@ GM Striker: We probably should discuss a couple of things about my char. Now is as good a time as any. At 3rd level He gains a 'Black Blade'. I'm thinking of going with Elven curve blade for this. You OK with that?
I was thinking it would be his father's sword that was lost long ago.
The other thing is; How do you feel about using Arcane Mark to gain the extra attack with Spell Strike? I find it a bit cheesy, but I would use it, if a combat seemed to be going badly.
Arcane mark with Spell Strike is cheesy. If you want to use it you can. But I might add some cheese to the NPCs too. Reading up on the Black Blade.. "A black blade is always a one-handed slashing weapon"
I had of course read your background Farak, but i figured Poor Kelden woudlnt have known. Im glad he was a good sport about it, and i am sure Kelden is indeed sorry for broaching the subject. Other party members beware 'mwa ha ha' Im sure at some point Kelden will ask you simular questions... though perhaps he will word them better next time
I was thinking it was one-handed for some reason. Clearly it's not. I prefer to envision most of my characters with longswords anyway.
