As Max touches the door, Inferis sees the door flare with magic. Before she has a chance to identify what's happening a swarm of cockroaches spills out from the door, crawling over anything in their path.

Lori screams as she sees the roaches pouring out of the walls onto Max on the floor. She fires her pistol into the swarm hoping to hit something.

The bullet goes high and hits the wall instead of the swarm.
Swarm's Turn
The swarm scurries about the room always moving, looking for food. They attack Max in number

The feel of the hundreds of legs scrurrying over his flesh, the countless bites from the numerous mouths, the knowledge of what these insects are and what they carry can make any man sick if not careful.
Max's Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Max succumbs to the feelings of nausea for a moment as the realization floods over him.

Nice room and swarm graphic! Can you share with me how you are creating these in the discussion tab? I just took over a PBP and am looking for tools to help.
Hmmmm, editing my action. I think healing Max is going to be a losing battle at the moment, soooo....
Cerastes looks upon the thousands of crawling roaches with disgust. He pulls out a bottle and smashes it into the swarm.
Acid Flask touch attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19 1d6 ⇒ 4
Think that does extra damage to swarms and not sure how the splash damage works against a swarm.

Ra exclaims; "Milord! Behind me!"
He takes up a position in front of Cerastes and raises his Scarab Shield. Any mindless swarms trying to enter his space have to make a Will Save DC11 or they can't approach him.

Max gets two bits of info. two bits are: Immunities - weapon damage, creature target spells; Weakness - light sensitivity, swarm traits (splash and area attacks)
As the flask shatters the roaches try to scurry away, while some succeed, others fail and melt in the green ooze. Inferis's missile strikes the swarm, but their diminutive size made it difficult for any damage to be done.

"Hmmmm, I don't have anything else. I used the only acid I had just now. Let's retreat." He reaches over to touch Max and soothing energies close his wounds.
Move back 10' feet, out the door, to allow Ra room to hold the swarm off with his shield.

"Lure em back to the sarcophagus room. Maybe we can drown the buggers." Max suggests. "Inferis, you were chucking acid about before. Don't stop now if you've got more." The halfling backs down the corridor from whence they came.
Max should be 30' past the doors after this move.

all of my spells are single creature or target spells so I don't have anything that can damage it.

Max finds that all the chests are unlocked and therefore open easily. Many of the items you find you can see are personal items of Akhentepi, once fine clothing and jars of preserves that would keep him fed in the afterlife, all now succumbed to time.
However, you are still able to find two vials of silversheen, a longbow that is crafted with masterwork quality alongside a quiver of ten cold iron arrows, a gold scarab hair clasp, an onyx and silver holy symbol of Pharasma, a silver hand mirror, and a wax-sealed clay urn of nard.

Cerastes readies to pull the halfling away if bugs start pouring out again.
Readies an action to pick up the halfling and move away or at least pick him up if he can't do all of that.

Ra stolidly takes bodyguard position in front of Cerastes, Scarab Shield up and ready.
"Un-Breakable", you can barely hear him whisper, almost as if a mantra.

The hall ends in a small room, fifteen by twenty. A sarcophagus covered in gold leaf rests on a raised stone platform in the center of this chamber. The casket's cover is carved the likeness of an adult man with his arms crossed over hit chest, and covered in thick coat of dust. Two ornate chests sit beyond the dais in the northeast and southeast corners, and between them stand two funerary urns.

Cerastes looks warily at the sarcophagus, "I'm getting a sense of deju-vu...tell me what you need Max and I'll do it."
He sweeps the room with Detect Magic in tandem with Inferis :)

"A clear view maybe." Max cranes his neck to see around Ra and Cerastes in the narrow corridor. He eventually crouches down and takes a gander into the room befrom between their legs. "Well, whaddaya think, is ol' Akhentepi going to pop out and start doing a little soft-shoe?"
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
To get things moving along a little faster, I've no problem if Sigma just wants to roll a perception for Max (or any other automatic rolls for that matter) on opening each new room and post the results with the room description.
