Be careful. The dead for some reason do not like to be disturbed. Although personally, if I was dead, I would think having someone take the time to come talk with me would be nice.
Not that we are here to talk to them necessarily, but sometimes they have good information....well and then other times they just want to eat your brains. So I guess it can go either way.

Had you inspected the coffin before? Currently it is closed, and does not detect as magical, although you get the very faintest of traces of necromancy and perhaps conjuration from the four corners of the first room.

Its very difficult to really get much information as it almost seems to be pouring in from another area behind the walls. Very peculiar. The southern sarcophagus also seems to be seeping out this strange aura from it's far side, only barely detectable.

And as a note, Fizz will be riding Beaky the axebeak, who is only medium-sized.

Fizz and Beaky keep their position near the back of the group and eventually follow the others into the chamber. His normally cheery demeanor is a bit more subdued in this place. "Not a pleasant place for a burial..." he notes as he looks about at the piles of bones and other morbid signs in the room.

To be safe he draws his greatsword and asks, "Did you say there's necromancy in the room? We can't just pass that by without being sure something nasty won't sneak up behind us. Better investigate the source. Is it in the sarcophagus or the sarcophagus itself? Or is it somewhere else?"

Not being well trained in magic, Fizz waits for the others to answer the questions and investigate the source.

Unable to help against his own nature, Fizzbeard begins to inspect one of the sarcophagi, interesting the strange aura coming from within, though it takes a group effort to push it aside.

As you do, suddenly the room becomes very cold, and a strange mist begins to pour out from the opened sarcophagi. Or that is what it looks to be at first. It quickly forms a vaguely humanoid form and begins screeching.

Suddenly three other spirits, literally waling through the walls at the corners enter as well, each likewise joining in the wailing. From what you can see of their ghostly bodies, it seems that they where literally eaten to death in life, before becoming whatever monstrosity they are now.

"So. . . hun. . . gry . . . It. . ." for just a moment everything goes silent, as if they all phased out of existence for just a moment, but then it returns, cutting off whatever complaint or warning they might have had, "oo . . . late."

As soon as they appear, both Beaky and Boots immediately flee, running in absolute, uncontrolled terror, nearly dumping their riders on the ground as they flee. Anyone else that has an Animal pet within 30ft, they do the same. You can attempt a DC 25 Handle Animal, Ride, or Wild Empathy check to force them to return, but otherwise they will not.

On the up side, there is a slightly glowing trident with two stylized golden snakes making up the two outer points, lying within the newly opened sarcophagus. . .

Know Religion DC 22:
Spectres!!! Incorporeal Undead with a devastating life-draining touch. Obviously, they have an unnatural aura that causes animals to flee, although it is only close range.

Know Religion DC 27:
They are powerless in full, <true> sunlight, which you might be able to use to your advantage as they can not enter the center of the room, not go beyond the main entrance. They can also be destroyed by casting a spell that returns the dead to life, and used in this way it does not use up costly sacred materials.

Know Religion DC 32:
You also know that not only do these spirits have a nasty unnatural touch attack, but they also literally steal the life force from the living, <NEGATIVE LEVELS> with a touch, and anyone slain by a Spectre. . . joins them in mere seconds.

I wasn't certain if you where riding it or not, so Boots did run 30ft from the spirits, (on the map). you have the option to stay on or drop off at your original point if you want.

All three of Kulik's arrows seem to harm the spirit he attacks, though they simply go right through it's intangible body, the spirit lets out screams of pain and rage with each harming it's corpus. However, it's also clear that they just do not seem to do all that much damage to the spirit, nor do any of the other attacks that follow.

Jaggar calls out to the team to tactically withdraw, making his weapon ready in case any come at him, while Begus quickly casts a basic spell, sending five nearly invisible bolts of magical energy at another of the spirit, each slamming easily into it's chest and causing that spirit to scream in rage.

Almost as suddenly as the Serpentfolk appear, both Rathen and Frag, even weakened manage to close the gap and draw cold, blue blood from the reptilian creatures. Each's blades cut deep, but not deep enough to put the monstrous beings down outright. The other Serpentfolk manages to react a bit faster than the other takes a step away from the two bloodthirsty warriors and hisses at Frag, sending some sort of telepathic enchantment directly into his mind, and attempting to crush his soul.

It looks like you warriors have these lizard folk handled. Dora says as she stops singing (inspire effect will persist for 2 more rounds).

With haste and her inspiring speech still in effect, Dora will likely delay and wait to see if anything further is required to put the lizards down.

Is it possible to go off map to the left/west and move around to flank the lizards or is that impassible? If it is possible, she would definitely want to move around them.

Slightly intoxicated reflavoinging that doens't actually happen:
Suddenly the mountain containing the strange door seems to come to life, looking down on your assault in approval. A strange, very, very, very, very old Asian Tien man seems to appear, radiating a strong sense of vileness despite otherwise appearing wise and noble to causal inspection. He sits there, simply watching, ans as your foes drop to their knees, or begin to waver of their feet, his simply turns to you and says, much louder than you would expect from a sorcerer his age, "FINISH HIM!"
Suddenly the world seems to dim just a bit, or, . . . or, perhaps it is the bloodlust and "the beast" with rising to the surface, but all except for your nearly fallen enemy seems to be slightly bleached of color. to be continued after what actually happens.

Jaggar moves up, thrusting his glowing glaive into the serpent creature, first lifting it's tormented dying corpse up and allowing it to slide down as if some dark impaler of legend, and just as just as the body reaches eye level, reaches out to snap it's neck.

Slightly intoxicated reflavoinging that doens't actually happen part 2:
Suddenly ghostly monks, their faces downcast and hidden by wide brimmed hats all begin to clap in unison, pleased at your display.

Still unable to fully defend itself, the Serpentfolk goes down in an explosion of blue-blood, fangs, and scales, leaving you questioning just how devastating where those arrows that a body would literally go flying in all directions.
