Nyym
Nyym had to move swiftly if he was gonna take advantage of his invisible state and the confusion of the situation. Nogusta was trying his best to keep the members of team Ruby on their feet. But the sheer damage output from their opponents was taking its toll on the weary defenders. That being said, His companions and himself had managed to drop all but one duplicate. Nightmare Kyt had proved more then a match for Aodhen and now although Nyym wanted to take the fight to the Raggedy Man. Nightmare Kyt needed to be taken care of 1st. Seeing Rohan fall victim to her stunning blow, he made his decision and moved on Nightmare Kyt. The Raggedy Man would have to wait.

I hope this works.

As Nyym approached his new target. the false Kyt had not given any indication that she was aware of the new threat to her. This was good, as it gave him complete surprise. So into her current target, Rohan, she was oblivious to other threats lurking. The irony of it almost made Nyym laugh, but he held it.

Rohan always seemed to be trying to impress the ladies. Now he has one who is completely focused on him. Though not in a way that he would enjoy, no doubt. In fact, I'm sure this is one he would be willing to do without, I am sure. Guess that age old adage, "be careful what you wish for" has more meaning then even Rohan could have anticipated.

Nyym struck hard and fast, forming his blade in a reverse position, from bottom to to her head.

Despite not being consciously aware of the half-drow, the doppelganger reacted to the attack nonetheless, its movements becoming oblique angles in effort to avoid the lightning blade of this newest foe.

Aodhán
The Chelaxian bouncer opened his eyes, where, upon so doing, found himself staring into the blinking and confused orbs of a be-tentacled cockerel. After overcoming his initial shock, Aodhán produced a steel vial from his pouch and drank its contents. Move Action: retrieve a stored item; Standard Action: drinking a potion.

Potion of Cure Serious Wounds: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 5, 2) + 5 = 15
Aodhán is Wounded with 17 hit points. He takes a -2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks, as well as to AC and caster level.

And that brings Aodhán's turn to a close, and ends Round 8. Round 9 begins now. Next up is...

Byoot
I beseech the entities of the Black. Gaze down upon us with your maleficence.

The mask-wearing person clad in a yellow longcoat stood chanting and gesturing at a mostly cylindrical pillar. Mostly, as the side facing toward him had been ground down into a flat surface carved with enigmatic symbols.

Before me Carcosa. Behind me Alar. About me the King's breath. And in the stela his Sign. I beseech the entities of the Black.

With each move taken, with each word uttered, a mass of white-furred bushy tails seemed to flick the air behind him.

Seemingly done with his ritual, the masked figure turned away from the edifice as a dingy glow erupted into view behind him. The light formed into an elongated circle, stretched into an oval. His eyes were twin pools of blazing liquid gold that stared into the heart of the ellipse.

The elf is here, just like she said, and with her came the other. Answers are due, if she's not dead, from Mesa's older brother.

Byoot giggled then sniffed the air. His nostrils crinkled in disgust. The sickly stench of blood, with its iron tang, had begun to intermingle with the beautiful rot that permeated the tomb. It brought to his mind darkness, the flash of steel, and a sticky warmth.

Betrayed!

He reached beneath his coat, placing a hand protectively over his heart.

Yes! But I was then transformed by musky power of entropydeath love. I couldn't see then, but I can now.

He then moved that same hand to his face and removed the mask that he had been wearing, casting it aside so that hit hit the cavern floor with a clatter. Byoot then resumed staring into the heart of the portal.

Yes! I spy with my little eye someone whose gonna die!

As he spoke, a third eye opened in the center of his forehead.

Nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. My lovely little bride!

And with those words, a bow and violin appeared in Byoot's hands which he began to play with unabated glee.

That brings Byoot's turn to an end. The map has been updated to take into account what has transpired and the sound of Byoot's violin playing can be heard echoing throughout the tomb. Next up is Liesel-Marie...

Liesel-Marie
Focus your attacks! The warrior's gutteral call ended with a scream as she focused her greataxe on the nimble elven doppelganger. But no matter where aimed the weapon, her bearded axe proved unable to touch the windmilling form of the false Kyt.

The Raggedy Man
Floating overhead, the sinister figure began to extract items from various pouches adorning his waist. Its hands began moving with practiced ease, mixing the contents together before taking the final mixture and tossing it down at Liesel-Marie.

Raggedy Man's Explosive Bomb: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
bomb damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 1) + 2 = 4

It hit with explosive results, enveloping the Erutaki with a flame that spread quickly outward.

Liesel-Marie has sustained 4 points of fire damage and is Wounded with 20 hit points. She takes a -2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks, as well as to AC and caster level. She has also caught fire, meaning she'll take 1d6 points of fire damage each round until the fire is extinguished (which requires a full-round action and a DC 13 Reflex save to accomplish). All characters within a 10-foot radius of the explosion must make DC 11 Reflex saves to take 2 points of fire damage (all except Rohan, who is stunned and can't take any actions).

And that ends The Raggedy Man's turn. Next up is Kytyyna...

But he remained focused none the less on the she devil in front of him. He had the tiger by the tail and knew it would be a mistake to turn it loose by letting his focus slip now.

Nyym sustains 2 fire damage and is Healthy at 39 hp (he has 6 temporary hit points remaining). He takes no penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks, as well as to AC and caster level.

Kytynna
The monk sadly wasn’t fast enough to avoid what the Raggedy Man had tossed their way. She bit her tongue through the pain as she prepared her next attack towards him. Keeping her attention on the task at hand.

This ends today! No more! She thought as the desire for a bath, an ale, and a soft bed come to mind.

The first attack missed her target, but the second blast slammed into her foe, the impact once again sounding like waves crashing against rocks on shore. Kytynna drew deep from within, tapping into her own reserves of spiritual energy to send forth a third surge of power at the Raggedy Man.

Not expecting another wave of energy from the elf, the face of the tall gangly being from their nightmares began to warp and spasm uncontrollably, eventually shifting to reveal the features of a half-orc covered in thousands of hair-fine lines of ink and carefully incised scars while locks of dark blond began to sprout from his scalp.

Kytynna sustains 2 fire damage and is Healthy at 41 hp (she has 17 temporary hit points remaining). She takes no penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks, as well as to AC and caster level.

Nightmare Kyt
Despite not being consciously aware of the half-drow, the doppelganger reacted to the attack nonetheless, its movements becoming oblique angles in effort to avoid the lightning blade of this newest foe.

Focus your attacks! Liesel-Marie's gutteral call ended with a scream as she focused her greataxe on the nimble elven doppelganger. But no matter where aimed the weapon, her bearded axe proved unable to touch the windmilling form of the false Kyt.

The fire from the Raggedy Man's vial came rushing in next, but when it had passed, the other elf remained untouched by the heat and flame. With an evil smile, it stepped toward the now vulnerable scion of giants, his glazed eyes telling the doppelganger all that it needed to know. Full-Attack Action: flurry of blows; Declarations: stunning fist

unarmed damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12; crit for +4 damage for a total of 16

Cackling maniacally, the doppelganger unleashed a torrent of precision punches on the defenseless Rohan's body, starting with his face, then working down to catch the scion of giants in the solar plexus before coming back up with a stiff uppercut to his jaw.

Rohan sustains 32 points of damage (41 total, but 9 are canceled out by his elemental defense) and is Wounded at 24 hp (with 0 temporary hit points remaining). He takes a -2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks, as well as to AC and caster level. However, next round, he needs to make a DC 18 Fortitude check (-2 penalty from the Wounded condition); otherwise Rohan will remained stunned for another round.

Nyym
Nyym, still frustrated at the miss and then the firebomb, saw the false Kyt break her attack on Rohan to nimbly avoid the spiritual weapon. Rotating into a quick step that placed him in position opposite of LM this time, Nyym spun back into his attack.

The half-drow performed a horizontal swipe with the left blade from right to left, then swiped with the right horizontally from right to left before putting them together in an X-shape and lunging at the doppelganger, bringing the blades across each other in a scissor motion.

To Nyym's amazement, the false elf had bent low to avoid the move, the lightning blades sizzling to a crisp a few errant strands of its long hair. The fake Kyt then sprang into the air with the intent of delivering a stiff uppercut to the half-drow's jaw.

However, the doppelganger was caught by one of the tentacles on Nyym's back in the side. It cringed from the contact, nose crinkling from the stench of burnt flesh due to the acid that dripped from the fleshy appendage. Not wishing to experience that sensation again, the fake Kyt went back on the defensive to avoid the other flailing organ.

Aodhán
The Chelaxian bouncer grabbed the dropped wand before rising to his feet. He then pointed the light-weight rod at the elf doppelganger. You think I'd be snookered like that? You must think me a lemure. Well... this insult cannot, will not, stand! Move Action: rising from prone; Standard Action: using inspiring performer class ability to grant a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls to all allies that can see or hear his performance and a +2 morale bonus on saves against charm and fear.

And that brings Aodhán's turn to a close, and ends Round 9. Round 10 begins now. Next up is...

Byoot
As he continued to vigorously play the violin, Byoot's golden eyes shimmered briefly even as his form began to waver, flicker and quiver. The mad creature then capered and pranced his way around the dingy ellipse that hung in the air...

I need a DC 17 Perception check from Liesel-Marie and Nyym. If successful, they notice the formation of a portal 10 feet to the south of the Raggedy Man. Regardless of success, the sound of the violin playing has become both louder and more frantic.

That brings Byoot's turn to an end. The map has been updated to take into account what has transpired. Next up is Liesel-Marie...

I apparently completely forgot my tentacle attacks last round. It doesn't appear that I had to move, so I should have struck out with those bad boys, too.

I thought you had, but I went with the map. In that case, I'm really hoping a 22 hits, cause that means that doppelgirlie should get 36 points of tough love.

Ah, wait. I didn't calculate the bonus damage for the crit correctly. That should be +2 rather than rolling a 4 - do we get the bonuses to the damage, too?

With the bonus for flanking, Liesel-Marie hit AC 25 with her greataxe, and AC 24 with the second tentacle. Going over the damage for the second tentacle, the +1 provided by Aodhán's inspiring performance was left out, making the total done 13. And since Liesel-Marie succeeded on the critical confirmation, she adds an extra +2 damage with the tentacle (average of the die rounded down) for a total of 15 damage.

Liesel-Marie
Die, monster!

Liesel-Marie followed her own advice, focusing her attention on a single foe, the 'woman' attacking Rohan.

She put the greataxe over her head and in line with her spine before bringing the weapon down, slicing vertically. It was a powerful move, but it had the obvious drawback of leaving the Erutaki's body open in the interim, something that this particular foe could seize upon if given the opportunity.

The false Kyt, after being momentarily distracted by the presence of an enemy she thought defeated, hopped back to avoid hit. But such was the speed of Liesel-Marie's attack that the doppelganger did so with a large vertical gash down its torso.

Ignoring the pain of the strike, the fake elf attempted to reverse course and charge back in only to be met with another pair of acid-drenched tentacles. It managed to dodge one, but the painful wound caused the creature to misstep. The second of the pair slammed into bloody gash, the acid searing a portion of the wound closed.

The doppelganger's screams of agony echoed throughout the cavern.

The Raggedy Man
The tall gangly being from the group's nightmares continued to warp and spasm uncontrollably, even as it glared angrily at Kytynna, the source of his misfortune.

And though the creature had sworn aloud to end the life of the Erutaki warrior, it knew ignoring the elf would prove to be a fatal mistake.

So it produced a small straight piece of iron even as it begun muttering aloud, all the while meeting Kytynna's gaze. When it was done speaking, the creature sent the piece of metal toward the elf, landing just at her feet.

As it struck the cavern floor, the elf began to feel as though her body was rebelling. Her breathing became erratic, her vision blurry, and she was having trouble maintaining any semblance of coherent thought. It was only when an eerie numbness began to creep through her limbs that Kytynna realized that she was dealing with the sudden onset of paralysis.

I need a DC 19 Will save from Kytynna, with failure indicating that she is frozen in place and unable to move or act (helpless) and that she has effective Dexterity and Strength scores of 0. Each round on her turn, she may attempt a new saving throw to end the effect (a full-round action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity); otherwise, the effect lasts for 6 rounds.

And that ends The Raggedy Man's turn. The map has been updated to take into account Nyym's move to flank with Liesel-Marie on his turn. Next up is Rohan, who needs to make a DC 18 Fortitude check (-2 penalty from the Wounded condition); otherwise he will remained stunned for another round.

I just wanted to clarify that the bold part is what happens should Kytynna fail her initial Will save to resist the effects of the hold person spell that was cast by the Raggedy Man. If she succeeds, then she won't have to make subsequent saves to resist the effect.

Alright Rohan was starting to get a little upset about getting slammed all around from everyone. So he was hoping to get some revenge on Kyt nightmare to make her pay for what she has been doing. He took a 5ft step back from her to the south corner. One square south and one square east. but straight at a diagonal. He looks at kyt nightmare and summons up the greatest amount of stone that he can muster and forms like a big ball in the center and then slings it at kyt nightmare to do as much damage as he can to her. It doesn't like the way she has been treating him.

Rohan
With his mind starting to clear from the doppelganger's torrent of strikes, Rohan was beginning to get a little upset about getting slammed all around by her. So he was looking to get a little payback on the false Kyt to make her pay for what she had been doing. While she was dealing with Liesel-Marie, he took a step back from to put a little distance between himself and the creature. He looked at the false elf and summoned up the greatest amount of stone that he could muster and formed like a big ball in the center, which the scion of giants then slung at his foe to do as much damage as he could.

Rohan's words caught the doppelganger's attention, but by then it was too late as the massive missile slammed into the creature.

So unprepared for that attack was she that there was nothing that could save her. No song, no performance, not even a blessing. Despite the eye contact with the Raggedy Man, it was as though his facial expressions were in real time yet his actions moving in slow motion. It all faded into the background as the iron rod struck the ground in front of her. She felt sick, her body not doing what she was willing it to do.

She couldn't think, couldn't see, she could barely breathe... and as she also lost the feeling in her body she began to fear. About to be trapped inside of herself, her fleeting last thought...

Am I going to die? Will my body forget to keep me alive? Will I forget to breathe?

Where am I? What is where? Is where me? What is me? Is that where?

Nightmare Kyt
Though the doppelganger had been holding its own against the members of Team Ruby, the situation was starting to become untenable. Unlike the others of its kind, the false Kyt had enough presence of mind to understand that it could not win against these odds. That it would only be a matter of time before it too would fall in defeat.

No!

The fake elf began to seriously consider a tactical withdrawal.

Yes! Fall back! Face them on your terms, not theirs.

It looked to either side, noting the fierce determination of the half-drow and the seething anger of the burning woman. The Chelaxian, whom it had thought defeated, had risen to his feet and would more than likely join these two in trying to take it down.

If that happened...

The false Kyt didn't want to think of that possible outcome.

After performing a few more bobs and weaves in an attempt to avoid being hit, the doppelganger dropped low and sprinted toward the back of the cavern. Full-Round Action: withdraw. When withdrawing from melee combat, it can move up to double its speed. The square it starts out in is not considered threatened by any opponent it can see, and therefore visible enemies do not get attacks of opportunity against it. As a result, Liesel-Marie won't get an attack of opportunity. If, during the process of withdrawing, it moves out of a threatened square (other than the one it started in), enemies get attacks of opportunity as normal. This is the case with Nyym, who will get an attack of opportunity against the doppelganger.

Nogusta then turned his attention to Liesel-Marie once again. Wash away her suffering, blessed Goddess. As he spoke, the smell of clean rainwater surrounded the burning Erutaki warrior. Moments later, a downpour of clear sparkling liquid appeared, soaking her thoroughly while simultaneously creating a small patch of vapor around her. Standard Action: casts the orison create water to douse the fire from the Raggedy Man/Gorewillow's explosive bomb. This will create 10 gallons of water, eight more than is necessary to extinguish the fire, but while Liesel-Marie is somewhat drenched and surrounded by steam (thanks to her her searing flesh defense), she is no longer burning.

And that ends Nogusta's turn. Next up is Nyym...

Nyyms dissatisfaction showed on his face clearly as the badly wounded doppelganger dove/fell through the portal. Nyym was almost overcome with a searing rage as he eyed the Raggedy Man Gorewillow. But he bit it back. He could easily strike out. But if he missed or didnt do enough to bring him down.. No, Nyym shook off the rage. He would not strike alone. Turning toward Liesel-Marie, he suddenly knew what he needed to do. Nyym gave her a knowing look and set himself up to assist her. The Raggedy Man was about to learn how big a mistake it was to toy with Team Ruby. Now Team Ruby would become the Raggedy Mans Nightmare.

Nyym will hold his action to assist Liesel-Marie with aid another.

GM:
Couple more questions. I think I've been calculating my damage for my kinetic blade incorrectly. Should it include a bonus to damage equal to my Con modifier for each die? And the attack is simply my BAB because strength doesn't count and I don't have Weapon Finesse - is that correct?

I'm really trying to think of a way for me to blade rush the Raggedy Man and, instead of actually attacking, initiate a grapple and let my searing defense burn him. I don't think that falls within the rules.

The ceiling in the cavern where you are is 15 feet above the floor, so the Raggedy Man is a mere 5 feet from touching it. So the answer to the other part of your question is no, standing on the ground, Liesel-Marie could not hit him with her greataxe. At least, not without throwing it...

You could do that, but it would require a DC 25 Athletics check. Nyym could assist with an aid another to provide a +2 bonus to the roll. I suppose I could also allow her bloodrage bonus to apply to the check as well. Does she also have the raging athlete rage power (which adds the barbarian’s level as an enhancement bonus on all Athletics checks and treats all such checks to jump as though the character had a running start)?

The kinetic blade deals her kinetic blast damage on each hit (applying any modifiers to her kinetic blast’s damage as normal, but not her Strength modifier). Fire is an energy blast and, therefore, a touch attack that deals an amount of damage equal to 1d6 plus 1/2 the bloodrager’s Constitution modifier, increasing by 1d6 for every 3 bloodrager levels beyond 1st (2d6+3/+6 damage on crit currently for Liesel-Marie.... +1 for 1/2 Con modifier, +2 due to bloodrage). Her attack roll calculations should be: +5 (BAB), +3 (Str modifier) and +2 (bloodrage) for a melee touch attack roll of +10. This does not include any penalties from wound thresholds or anything else she may have.

Blade Rush wrote:
You use your element’s power to instantly move 30 feet in any direction (even straight up), manifest a kinetic blade, and attack once. You gain a +2 bonus on the attack roll and take a –2 penalty to your AC until the start of your next turn. The movement doesn’t provoke attacks of opportunity, though activating blade rush does. The blade vanishes instantly after the rush.

So when using blade rush, her attack bonus should be: +5 (BAB), +3 (Str modifier), +2 (bloodrage), and +2 (blade rush) for a melee touch attack roll of +12. Again, this does not include any penalties from wound thresholds or anything else she may have.

Her mind made up, Liesel-Marie nods firmly, then leans in to whisper to the elf, "We have allies that can hurt him with their attacks. Let us hurt him when he tries to attack. Ready yourself. If he tries to cast a spell, throw your blade."

Liesel-Marie readies an attack if the Raggedy Man begins to cast a spell. If she thinks she can disrupt his action with an attack, she will attack. The attack in question will be a blade rush. To facilitate Nyym's attack, she will "rush" to the other side of the Raggedy Man so she's not in Nyym's firing lane. After the attack, she will fall back to the ground and try to reduce the falling damage with a check.

Blade rush touch attack: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32

Fire damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 4) + 3 = 11

I can only throw one, but it does not do enough damage unfortunately.

She growled once again, Then we must see if we can bring him down to the ground.

Nyym whispered back, You got a plan?

He was all set to assist.

Yeah, fly.

Her mind made up, Liesel-Marie nodded firmly, then leaned in to growl to the half-drow, We have allies that can hurt him with their attacks. Let us hurt him when he tries to attack. Ready yourself. If he tries to cast a spell, throw your blade.

Nyym nodded his agreement with Liesel-Marie. As per her plan, as soon as the Raggedy man went to cast, they would act. When Liesel-Marie made her move, so too will Nyym.

The Raggedy Man
The Gorewillow/Raggedy Man amalgam was finding it difficult to remain above the others gathered beneath him, due to the pain of his injuries. He had to end this quickly, and moved to do just that.

The Raggedy Man began to cast another spell.

Now!

The word came out as a roar a moment before Liesel-Marie disappeared from where she had been standing, only to appear in the air beside the now flabbergasted Raggedy Man. Taking advantage of his surprise, the Erutaki struck savagely with a spear of blue flame even as Nyym did the same with a lightning kunai.

The two distinct forms of energy intermingled with one another, coming together briefly in a milky green explosion of color and sound that lit up the cavern.

The Raggedy Man needs to make 3 different rolls: one to finish his spellcasting (DC 40), another to remain in the air (DC 15), and a third to resist Nyym's thundering infusion (DC 15). So lets get this party started...

concentration check for spell: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32; -3 due to Critical threshold
Acrobatics check to maintain hovering: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7; -3 due to Critical threshold
thundering infusion Fortitude save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26; -3 due to Critical threshold

Since he failed the Acrobatics check, the Raggedy Man will also take 1d6 falling damage.

Falling Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

As the Erutaki reappeared on the ground, she looked up to see their hated foe drop like a flaming stone to the cavern floor beside her.

The Raggedy Man has sustained 29 total damage this round and is down on the ground. The map has been updated to take into account what has transpired. After over 10 full rounds of combat, this encounter has officially come to a close. Good role-playing, everyone! Everyone gets 2,800 XP (2,300 for the challenge with another 500 for awesome roleplay). This brings your current totals to 16,855 (LM, Mesa, Nyym, Kyt, and Rohan) and 23,990 (Nogusta). The cleric is 2,010 XP from tier 1 of 6th level while the rest of Team Ruby is 2,145 XP away from tier 1 of 5th level. Break out the fanfare, because its time for that well-earned Final Fantasy victory dance! Get your characters properly updated and we'll take care of the remaining business of finishing up this chapter.

Liesel-Marie stood over the supine form of the Raggedy Man. There was no sense of mercy to be found in the Erutaki's eyes, only a grim determination to do what was necessary to end the threat that this being posed not only to Trunau, but to herself and the other members of Team Ruby.

She placed the bit of her bearded greataxe atop the prone creature's neck before raising the weapon high overhead and quickly bringing it down again in one fluid motion to separate its head from its shoulders.

The deed done, Liesel-Marie began to relax as the bloodrage started to fade and a familiar tiredness overtook her.

And then – if we all won't cry, fer shore –

She could hear it, the beginning of that familiar verse.

The Raggedy Man he'll come and "splore

Liesel-Marie's muscles, trembling and aching from all that had gone on, seemed to tighten as an overwhelming sense of anxiety hit the Erutaki.

The Castle-halls," and steal the "gold"—
And steal us, too, and grab and hold

To her horror, as she looked down at the corpse of the Raggedy Man, its flesh was moving, swirling around the head of her greataxe, clinging to it and coating it, even as it inched slowly toward the weapon's haft, the portion that she still held onto.

And pack us off to his old "Cave"!—And
Haymow's the "cave" of The Raggedy Man!—
Raggedy! Raggedy! Raggedy Man!

It crept up toward her, oozing slowly, steadily, and as it did, the severed head rolled to face Liesel-Marie, staring at her with dull lifeless eyes even as its mouth seemed to quiver and twitch.

Here comes the raggedy man! Raggedy man! Raggedy man! Hey, raggedy man! Raggedy! Raggedy! Raggedy Man!

Eyes narrowed, the bloodrager releases her greataxe, letting the haft fall alongside her as she manifests her kinetic blade and strikes at the rubbery, oozy flesh climbing the weapon. "If I have to burn every bit to get you out of my head, I will!"

Your uncertainty pleases me... ;)

But in all seriousness, what's currently transpiring is not a figment of her imagination, and can be seen by everyone present. The danger, therefore, is a real one. Not just to her, but to everyone else present inside the tomb as well. I think that handling this as purely flavor will suffice for now, so no attack rolls are necessary. However, depending on what actions are taken by the various members of Team Ruby, there could in fact be a need for such activity to take place.

There was no response from the slowly crawling flesh, of course. Nothing other than the damnable sing-song chant.

The Erutaki lashed out with her fiery weapon, striking at it repeatedly.

Raggedy! Raggedy! Raggedy Man!

The gelatinous mass of flesh seemed to be unaffected by Liesel-Marie's efforts, its surface not even so much as singed by the flame.

Rohan watched in surprise as he saw the amazing actions taking place and that the raggedy man was finally down. To this required a moment of silence and victory to take place. Though what he saw next alarmed him completely and was concerning to him as likely the others around him. We must burn him and get rid of his body he thought as he looked at the thing climbing up Lisel Axe.

"Acid, we need a vial of acid, or fire to burn him to bits and insure that he doesn't come back ever again"

He started looking through his bag that he had for the vial of acid that he once had, but to his surprise everything was gone. The whole bag was completely empty, the stuff just gone.

"Where oh where could it have gone"

He just looked up and said "I don't have one, does anyone else."
