Angelica tries her little trick from the day before, but she is reluctant to want to imply her body is being offered to the grotesque man that is Fenster. In the end she slips up and calls the garnet what it is, instead of what she wanted him to think it was. She may still be able to recover, "This should be more than enough to cover your price." as she offers him the gemstone. The look and smell of him making it real difficult keep up with her charade.

Krass turns around as the 'usual routine' is being performed on Fenster. Trying to play players seems like folly to him and he rather not show his frustration towards his colleagues.

He (im)patiently awaits Fenster's reaction on Angelica's proposal.

"Nice bit o' glitter, that. I'll take it, and you'll thank me twice over fer it!"

He reached his hand out for the gem and continued talking. "She use'ta run with them Tower Girls, but not no more. How does Fenster knows, you ask yerselves? It's because I is their landlord. Well, was their landlord. They holed up here in my humble abode fer a few weeks before movin' on. But they'll be back! They always come back ta ol' Fenster.

"But 'Talya now, she ain't with them no more. She done run off ta do her own thing, and ain't it grand? She ain't but a few blocks from here! Down this stret, take the second left, and then the first right. Burnt out place, can't miss it."

He took the gem from Angelica and chortled to himself, completely ignoring you.

As soon as they get some distance from the man, she responds to Harbug's question, "Heck yeah we treat it like an ambush. "Hey, the roof was old and it creaked." Tialara said while throwing her hands up defensively.

If the rundown 2-story house that Fenster's direction led to was indeed Natalya's new place of residence, the missing Tower Girl wasn't exactly trading up in the world. The ramshackle clapboard walls were either damaged by fire, mold, or both. In places, fire had gutted sections of the roof, and each heavily boarded up window had soot stains curling from their tops. The building stood near the steep cliff walls of the Seacleft, and tumble-down scree piled up against its foundations and littered the yard. A small shack leaned up against an outside wall, probably a storage shed of some kind.

Perception DC15:

The shed's lone window does not appear to be as tightly boarded up as those on the rest of the house.

He readies his short sword and shield, not caring if this provokes a response from anyone watching them from behind closed windows, corner or perch.

Angelica and Tialara approach the ramshackle building stealthily, trying to peer in through boarded up windows and doors. Angelica found that the southern door was the only entrance not heavily boarded up. She was just about to check it when she heard a man's voice shout from where Tia was.

Tialara had snuck up to the western side of the building and peered through a couple of windows. She hadn't noticed that the windows in the shed were more loosely boarded than the others. She got a glimpse of a small room with a couple of chairs, when there was motion inside. She ducked down just as a burly man came out of the shed and shouted "Hey! This is private property! Get outta here!" As he was shouting, another man squeezed his muscular bulk through the doorway and stood glaring at Tia. Both men were armed and armored, wickedly pointed morningstars held tightly in their fists.

It's D&D night, so I won't be posting for the next 6 hours. If people fast enough that I'd be delaying things you can assume I do but one thing: move on to the next target and stab them. Repeatedly. The following is assuming my target ain't down, otherwise I move up to -1M, 0M and on to L1 to attack and give Tia a flanking bonus.

Krass catches the morningstar at a diagonal angle, causing it to violently slide down the surface of his shield as he thrusts and try to gut the thug like a pig.

Assuming I'm at L,-4 (Behind Krass w/ 5 foot space). If the thug in Krass' face isn't down Harbug moves to M0 via M-3->N-2->N-1->M0 and attack with his falchion. If that thug is down, Harbug will move to K0 (and if the spaces are open, will charge to K0) and attack that thug with his falchion.
Harbug, with his usual level of guile, shouts an orcish battle cry and joins the fray! "Mehr Blut für die Blut-Gott!"

The orc's muscles strain as he hefts one body under each arm, but he seems able to move, if only a few feet at a time. He takes up the rear of the group, moving slower than Shabbezz. "I'll leave them inside the door once we're in." he manages to squeeze out between deep breaths and grunts.

K1 is the entrance to the shed, where the thugs emerged from. O7 is the entrance into the main building.

Seeing their last opponent fall, Shabbezz moves to keep pace with the group as they make their entrance, shuffling ahead of Harbug. Seeing Tialara being distressed by her recent actions, she attempts somewhat awkwardly to offer some words of consolation.

"It was him or you. Best not to dwell on it."

    Female Changeling "Varisian" Burglar 4/Fighter 2 (AC: 20 [T: 14 /F: 16] (+2 vs Traps); HP: 49/49; F+4, R+7 (+2 vs traps), W+1 (+2 vs Illusions/Fear); Init: +3; Perc: +16 [+18/+20], 60' darkvision)

Angelica wipes her blade before resheathing it, looking to Harbug she suggests. "Why not just tuck 'em back in the shed the were hiding in? There's no sense in being slowed draggin the dead around."

As they move to the door, she stops everyone, suggesting "Let me check the door first. If she truly doesn't want to be found, we may find some deadly obstacle in our path."

"Good idea, they can stay on duty that way. Heh." Harbug slowly hauls the two into the shed and sets the bodies with their backs against the wall facing inward. He takes a moment to look around inside the shed and listen against the rickety wall ajoining the building before re-joining the rest of the group.

Looking at her little companion, she responds, "I know that, my little friend. It's not the loss of his life, but the fact that I lost control the way I did that concerns me. Thank you for your concern though, it is appreciated." With that said, Tialara joins the others.
