The shaman rushes to her, looking for any signs of life, and finds them. She's still breathing, shallowly. Just then, the portal collapses completely, and as it does, your eyes return to the normal colors. Your minds return to what level of sanity they once where.

Slowly, you drag Imrizade back up to the upper levels, where Nigel meets you with glad eyes and warm words. He explains that she had always been his favorite, and as a child had often wandered throughout the museum, a playtime that inevitably led to her becoming an adventurer. After a while, she awakens, and loos up you all gratefully.

She thanks you, as well as the whole of the Pathfinder Society, and if asked, she explains al in detail, filling in the gaps.

In Summary:
As a child she discovered the secret vault, one of many within the museum and used to come here as her secret getaway. As she grew up, she visited less, becoming more interested in the library and eventually went off to explore the many adventures she read about for real. In her most recent expedition, she discovered the ancient canister, an artifact that came from the civilization that fell and became modern Osirion. What she didn't know was that the canister held the last remains of an ancient sorcerer named Kuburrum Ishme-Dagan, a powerful and cruel would-be tyrant. Kuburrum Ishme-Dagan had discovered the ancient Portal to Beyond, and how to open it without the proper passwords and magical procedures, and developed the canister to act as a key. However, he was killed before he could do so, and it was used to hold his brain in that cultures ancient funerary rites. His soul was strong enough to survive death, and he became a ghost, locked to his final remains. Imrizade, when she discovered it, reawoke Kuburrum Ishme-Dagan, and as he grew more powerful, he began to possess and influence Imrizade. She had been returning home, and during the travel, he found within her childhood memories the portal, and finally possessed her fully just after she returned. They locked themselves in the basement area while trying to prepare the portal, but it too time. For a day or two before you arrived, it partially opened, allowing other planes to seep into the museum, and drawing in random creatures or causing random objects to come to life.

Save your Wand charge. :)

Woo!

"Is it finished?" The monk looks back at his party, wide-eyed, contemplating the awesome display to which they have all borne witness.

Kurvast readies a 5-foot step into a trip if Mur gets in range.

Secret portals in the basement...strange mists...this place really needs to be under the thumbs of the Ten. "Glad to h-help, Nigel. Call us anytime." The half-elf looks at Mur for a long moment, then shakes his head wordlessly and turns away.

Returning to the Grand Lodge, you are welcomed back as heroes. It seems that word of your most resent exploits have already spread. VC Adril Hestram shakes your hands, nodding his head in a show of quite respect. Motioning you in to his office for a debriefing, he assures you that your deeds will make their way into the upcoming Pathfinder Chronicles, granting you a measure of immortality and glory.

I'll be creating a new game thread soon, and I'll drop a link. As soon as I get word from Grace, and the other one is up, I'll go ahead and mark this one as inactive.

<Retcon>

In honor of Ascendance Day, and for extraordinary valor and celestial badassness, the Society decides to have a special parade, in which Grace Tannyth, the hero, is held aloft on the shoulders of those who would carry her through the gauntlet of the societies greatest heroes and sages. As she is carried through, each draws a weapon, a book, a pen, or religious icon, holding it aloft and bowing their head in respect. Spectators from all around are drawn, and many children, their hearts eager to reach for the stars look on her and find their dreams and desires bolstered.

Grace is just waiting for her parade before continuing on. It's going to be fabulous!
