===== Special Abilities =====
Charmed Life (Ex) Three time per day, before attempting a saving throw, as an immediate action Kurvast can add his Charisma bonus to the result of the save.
Combat Reflexes Kurvast may make up to five attacks of opportunity in a round, and may make attacks of opportunity when flat-footed.
Fencer Kurvast gains a +1 trait bonus on attacks of opportunity with swords, daggers, and similar weapons.
Panache (Ex): Kurvast begins each day with 2 panache points. His panache goes up or down throughout the day, but cannot go higher than this maximum. Kurvast can spend panache to accomplish deeds (see below), and regains 1 point of panache whenever he confirms a critical hit with a light or one-handed piercing weapon or when he reduces a worthy foe to 0 or fewer hit points with a light or one-handed piercing weapon.
Deeds (Ex) Kurvast can spend panache to accomplish the following deeds:
Derring-do Before making an Acrobatics, Climb, Escape Artist, Fly, Ride, or Swim check, Kurvast may spend 1 panache point to roll 1d6 and add the result to the check, rerolling any 6s and adding the result to the total, up to four times in a row.
Dodging Panache Kurvast can spend 1 panache point to attempt avoid a melee attack by moving 5 feet as an immediate action, granting him a +2 bonus to AC against the attack. This is not a 5-foot step, and provokes attacks of opportunity from other opponents. The attack is still resolved as if Kurvast was in the original square. He may only perform this deed while wearing light or no armor, and carrying no more than a light load.
Opportune Parry and Riposte When an opponent makes a melee attack against Kurvast, he can expend 1 panache point and a use of an attack of opportunity to attempt to parry that attack. Kurvast makes an attack roll as if making an attack of opportunity, if the result is greater than the roll of the attacking creature, the attack automatically misses. For each size category the attacking creature is larger than the Kurvast, he takes a –2 penalty on his attack roll. He must declare the use of this ability after the creature’s attack is announced, but before that attack roll is made. Immediately after Kurvast performs a successful parry, as long as he has 1 panache point in his pool, he can make an attack as an immediate action against the creature whose attack he blocked, provided that creature is within her reach.
Power Attack Kurvast may take a -1 penalty to attack rolls to gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls for one round.
Swashbuckler Finesse (Ex) Kurvast gains the benefits of the Weapon Finesse feat with light or one-handed piercing melee weapons, and can use his Charisma score in place of Intelligence as a prerequisite for Combat Expertise. This ability counts as having the Weapon Finesse feat for purposes of meeting feat prerequisites.
