Arianna's Round

Arianna will begin inspire courage with her beautiful song, one of war and men of valor who march against the demons who seep from the worldwound, far from here, but their courage is inspiring never-the-less. Everyone receives a +1 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +1 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls.

She then moves to D 33 to remain in sight and continue to inspire courage.

Uttering a string of dwarven curses, Krenn drops his axe, readies his bow, and launches an arrow at the derro.

Jerin will move directly under the Derro and fires a lightning bolt at it.

DC 14 reflex save if it overcomes the SR 5d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 3, 6, 1) = 21


The two summoned eagles tear into the derro , making his shout out loud and agrily. Then Krenn's arrow fired, getting close and without Arianna's inspiring speech the arrow wouldn't have penetraited the magic aura around him and stabbed into his shoulder. Vreed was clearly bleeding now and making his already messy robes getting covered with his own blood.

Vreeg's round 2

Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

Vreeg manages to dodge most of the blast only taking a minimal damage from the lightning bolt.

"Vreeg cut you all up for master. Master Rolth greatest magic user, stupid human." he laughs manically, with the familiar derro look of insanity, maybe even more so in his eyes as he glares at one of the eagles and stabs as it with is wand.

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 vs. touch.

His wand once again fails to touch the eagle this time and tries to move away to C37, moving 5ft.

As the fighting goes on the torso appears to have shoanti marks upon it and it's right arm still attached, thrashing about and grabbing at air as no one is close enough to it for it to hit them.

While cotinuing to sing Arianna unslings her bow, knocks an arrow and fires at Vreeg.

She mentally curses as the arrow strikes the roof of the cavern and not her intended target.


Krenn aims carefully, hoping brute force will penetrate the arcane barriers the derro has erected.

The eagles shift to maintain their flank on Vreeg and assault his defences once more. Curnach is content to simply provide Guidance to Krenn once more.

Krenn fires another bow shot, however this time it misses and the arrow falls to the floor to be picked up later.

Jerin's use of the wand has this time failed to have any effect on the Derro, Vreeg as the bolt fires at him but causes no damage.

He takes all the 19 damage from the crit caused by the eagles, however he continues to fly in the air, bleeding horribly.

The spell he is now casting defensively is Blindness

Curnach casts Guidance upon Krenn somewhat absent mindedly, more interested in watching his eagles... They attack one last time before returning to the realms from whence they came.

Jerin's wand has no effect what-so-ever against the flying Derro.

Krenn's arrow misses and hits the wall, falling to the floor.

Curnach's eagles however tear into the Derro, tearing up his skin and tearing the jugular open.

He continues to bleed out and slowly floats down to the ground with his spell having ended.

Vreeg Loot:

bone wand, 5 doses of a strange blue liquid, masterwork dagger, the somewhat dirty robe and a simple iron ring.

There is also a wizard's spellbook on the shelf of Vreeg's little room.

The animated torso with the right arm continues to thrash about, grasping at the air and attempting to hit any that come near it.

The torso is animated, but since it isn't a complete person it is fragile and any positive energy focused into it will make it become innert. If you don't have that then a well-placed hit will kill more than likely kill it. There's 2 areas you've not checked. The area closed off in D7 with the boarded door and tunnel down south.

The wand contains 42 charges of the necromantic spell, Ghoul Touch.

This is a Robe of Bones with 3 embrodiered figues inside it which will become undead when you throw them out and activate them.

Curnach frowns deeply upon seeing the robe.

A necromancers tool- one he obviously forgot to use... Also, a protective ring for Krenn. I would sell the wand Jerin...

Krenn's not had much loot this whole AP so far so want him to get the ring. Let me know if your claiming the robe and wand Jerin, or if they are being sold for the group.

I have no interest in those items, the spellcasters book will be plenty for me and we can sell that after I copy out any wanted spells.


Krenn will try to put an and to the abomination with his bow.

Hmm. Probably crazed like all the other derros, wasn't thinking straight to fight well. I'm just going to make sure we didn't miss anything.

Krenn will take his axe to the furniture, tearing it up, shattering it, taking out his frustration and disgust on what what he's seen so far in these tunnels.

Krenn strikes the animated corpse hard, effectively destroying it and leaving the one-armed torso lifeless and ready to be collected.

Krenn finds little trouble smashing the furnature as none of it was expensive, sturdy stuff.

So far you have all the parts of the body apart from his left arm and there are still areas unexplored to the south, including the barred up room.

You know that north leads to the rooms you've just been, there's a door south covered with large boards nailed into it to stop it from opening.
South of D7

A winding passage which part goes up but the other goes down somewhere else deeper into the caves.

As you enter down this corridor you notice a tunnel that leads outside but right in front you see a foul-smelling cavern which is borded on three sides by ten-foot-deep pits that the rancid smell of excrement and decay fills the air and you hear the noise of life inside the pits, but guarding these pits is a humanoid that appears to have incredibly thick skin. Thick and lumpy skin that appears to cover his face, yet it turns and leers at you all.

"Get in the pits. Rolth give me big reward for you." he grinned and pounded his fists together "You go in pit now! Me feed you later, Maybe!" he steps closer as he does not appear to want to take no for an answer.

Cabbagehead runs over to Krenn and attempts to grab him however he doesn't manage to get a tight grip on Krenn and fails. He appears to be unarmed and only armed with his fists.

Round 1-

Any slave of a Necromancer will be subject to Korvosa's justice... Curnach states, as he begins to move his hands in quick spiral movements as he chants. Behind and underneath Cabbagehead, roots and vines grow up through the earth and attempt to latch onto Cabbagehead.

Entangle. Effectively i've made the room difficult terrain, and each round the roots will try and grab Cabbagehead- he needs to make a DC17 Reflex save or take the entangled condition as well. Link


Krenn tries to keep his shield between himself and Cabbagehead, and swings his axe at him with all his might.

Cabbage head appears to be fast enough on his feet to not being grabbed or entangled.
"Cabbagehead not slave. Me Rolth's friend." he bellows in argument however that is all cut off as he falls to the floor and begins to laugh uncontrollably as if what he just said put him into giggle fits.

Since she would have gone before Jerin shut him down

Seeing the misshapen brute avoid the grasping roots and continue his charge at the group, Arianna will cast Grease on the floor directly around him (Reflex save DC:14)


Cabbage head had avoided the trendils of weeds from the entangle spell, managed to keep himself upright when the grease spell was used on the floor below him yet the hidious laughter hit him and he fell to the floor in loud and strange laughter.

"Hey!What's so funny, fat head?!" shouts out a feminine voice from one of the pits and you can hear someone trying to jump up and down to to attempt to look at what's happening, though you can't see this person's head despite how high they appear to jump up.

Cabbagehead has now being engulfed in the roots from the entangle spell, holding him down and making him far easier to hit, restraining him as the rounds grow all over his deformed body and hold him in place.
