The slash appears to do nothing to them. You didn't appear to even scratched it significantly.


So the axe attack didn't happen, first round of being dazed. Armor class remains 22.

The skeletal creature slithers over to Arianna and tries to bite at her. It's clear that after both the magic missile and flame bolt it looks pretty damaged, but it's not destroyed yet.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

The fangs lash out towards you, attempting to take a bite out of you, but failing as you simply side step to avoid the bite.

And due to the botteling in the other two cannot bite or move so back to the player's turn.

Don't believe you need to duck out the way of firebolt as it's aimed unlike lightning bolt which goes in a straight line unless you were trying to go back behind Krenn.

He is trying to avoid the -4 of shooting into combat without precise shot :)

When Krenn snaps to, he'll drop his axe, pull his hammer out of its belt loop and swing on the nearest snake.

The backflip fails meaning the creature gets an attack of oppitunity on Arianna for failing to meet the DC as she was in a threatened square.

1d6 ⇒ 5 plus a DC 11 Fort save, Cha based.

if fail you are paralysed where you land for 1d4 ⇒ 4 rounds

Krenn steps up and with all the combined damage from earlier, Krenn smashes the skull of the creature, shattering it into a million peices as the skeletal snake body falls apart into simple bones with no life or animation in them anymore.

Jerin, still your turn to go before the end of the round.

Okey then...

Curnach's firebolt burnt the creature, but it still appears to be standing spite being quite charred from the fire damage so far as it still seems very much alive.

Ammend: Krenn did not hit yet as that was a Round 3 action, somehow missed that. and crit threat on Arianna 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 which misses so that doesn't matter. The creature is still alive as Krenn hasn't yet gone.

Krenn, when you can move back up 5 feet after your attack. Let the monsters line in front of you. As soon as you can after that move out of the way and I will blast all 3 in a row with a lightning bolt!
Consider this speech Jerin's turn going off at the top of the round since it was rather long.

The creature reaches up to bite at Krenn, but misses completely and as Per Krenn's round 3 action it is destroyed as he smashes it with his hammer, shattering the skull into a million peices and the skeletal body falling apart into peices.

I assume Arianna will want to move back through the group as you are allowed to move through other player's squares unless they stop them, but I doupt any of you will stop Arianna or Krenn from backing off. Also the next one along is not in combat so won't incur the -4 is Curnach or anyone else wishes to fire at it.

Sorry about the confusion. I posted round 3 a bit early because I wasn't going to be able to log on again in the evening and I didn't want things to be held up if everyone else was moving forward.

Per Arianna's action shouldn't she be in the front paralyzed? Would Krenn have had to move into her square in order to attack the creature? Or are we considering she just fell paralyzed in the square behind Krenn? Sorry I am a little confused.

Helpless characters (such as paralysed) don't take up a square, so we're ok to have her and Krenn share a square.

Yes- saving the real goodies for anything else we come up against. Please subtract four from the attack roll if he has to fire into melee.

Did it that order as I assume Jerin wants to delay yet again and wait to see if people get out of the way.

Another one of these creatures moved over the area where it's predecessor died after Curnach had given it a nasty burn. The last one in the room moves up behind this one. The creature lashes out, attempting to bite at Krenn but just bites into the armour and doesn't harm him at all.

Just a note, I put Arianna into the wall to avoid confusion as she is in Krenn's square.

Jerin doesn't wait, as soon as the thing lashes out he just moves up into the same square as Krenn, they are both now sqeezed, but he unleashes a lightning bolt into the two of them.

I know its a little harder to fight with me here as well Krenn, but we should be able to finish them quicker if this bolt doesn't drop them!

The first one manages to judge dodge out of the way of the concentraition of the bolt, however it now looks in horrible condition with cracks becoming visable all over whilst the second too the full bunt of the blast and appears to be in a much worse condition.

Krenn swings his warhammer in really powerful swing and absolutely crushes yet another one, smashing the skull off and decapitating it as the body falls to the group lifeless leaving only one left which had taken the full blast of the lightning bolt earlier.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15

1d8 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Curnach left I believe.

The last one moves over to Krenn to bite at him however it completely misses and simply bites the armour of Krenn.

Sparing a moment for a concerned glance at Arianna, Krenn moves to finish the fight quickly.

As Krenn deals the final blow he knocks the skull flying off and smashing into the opposing wall. Silence falls on the area as Krenn destroyed the last of one of these things with a single hit.

The area remains calm and the skulls on the wall remain looking grousome. Now it seems the way is open.

Arianna is still paralyzed so she can't move unless you want to carry her. She can't talk so luckily we have no thieves in the group. She'll be stuck for about 18 seconds so I assume you guys will wait for her to snap out of it.

There is a door at the end of the hallway leading to somewhere you have not yet investigated.

Knowledge Dungeonneering DC 25 or craft traps:

The trap was set off, but it does have a timer to reset after 10 minutes. It'll reset the spitting but not the constructs as they're destroyed. It has a onset of 2 rounds once it is activated to go off again.

Already told Curnach in tabs actually about it.

"The trap resets in ten minutes. It's on a delay so next time let's go through the secret door." he points up to a wall at the top where he explains that's where everyone was before, but didn't go through the door. "We will have to be fast on our way out."


To Arianna: I'm glad you're okay. Next time, you might want to stay behind me though when we're fighting something venomous like that. I don't wear this he says, gesturing to his heavy armor and shield because it brings out the grey in my eyes.

To Jerin: Thanks for suggesting the weapon switch; the hammer was much more effective. I'll just keep the hammer out for now in case we run into more... critters of the sort.

Krenn will put his axe back in its belt loop and keep the hammer out.

To Curnach: So if we take the smaller tunnels around to the other side of this chamber, we should be able to get to that door without triggering the trap? Very well then.

If that's the case, Krenn will lead them back through the tunnels. If we still have time to cross before the trap resets, then he'll hustle across and check the door.

Curnach attempt to listen in on the door to help try and find if there is anything moving in the next room. As he listened he looks to the rest and whispersin a voice that sounds equally quiet to his usual muttering.
"I hear someone in there, sweeping the floor. Sounds like it's unaware of us."

Curnach's perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23


Krenn will glance around the group, pointing at the door questioningly. If no one objects, he'll try the door handle to see if it is unlocked and unbarred. If it is, in they go. If it is not, he'll set his crowbar and give it a good stout kick.

As Krenn opens the door the inside is a large room with wooden tables stacked with vials, beakers and other alchemical gear although the south one is heaped with broken vials and leans awkwardly on a hastily repaired leg. Three Large cauldrons sit against the east wall, one of them upended. It's foul and rancid contents of rendered fats have spilled over the floor where a lone Derro is cleaning up the mess.

He appears to have noticed you but is frozen solid with shock, clearly not being able to comprehend how you all got here.

There is a hallway down to the east and a door to the south with nailed boards upon it to keep it closed.

Perception DC 20:

There is another hidden door to the north like those you have discovered so far.
