Is Jerin Delaying?
"But out the bastard's eyes!" the voice calls out and all of a sudden more voices join calling out for help.
Jerin
Krenn hauls back with his axe again and let's it drop.
To hit 1d20+7
Damage 1d10+7Let me just say, I'm a little embarrassed now.
Krenn, you need to add in +4 for prone, remember he is also entangled which gives him -4 to his dex so you last stike will probably hit.
Jerin
Is Jerin Delaying?
"But out the bastard's eyes!" the voice calls out and all of a sudden more voices join calling out for help.
Seeing his friends struggling to take down the brute while he struggles on the floor and held, he walks up into the hex with Arianna, squeezes in with her and then blast the brute with a lightning bolt.
lightning bolt DC 14 reflex save 5d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2, 2, 5) = 15Sorry, that will give Arianna a -4 to hit I believe. Remember the entangle should make his Reflex save harder as well.
DM Aron Marczylo
Didn't realise the entangle thing until Alex pointed it out. So just to fix things.
Krenn did hit Cabbage head, hard and tearing off large chunks of his flesh and then as Arianna attacks her bladed scarf the blade slices into his throat and the cabbage head remains laying there, bleeding out.
There you go. So both Krenn and Arianna finished him and Jerin didn't get to use his wand charge.
DM Aron Marczylo
I wasn't even sure if the prone bonus would help with those...
He was also entangled at the end of his round which gave him a -4 to Dex too as Jerin stated making it a 15 which was just enough.
DM Aron Marczylo
Jerin will look over the big man's possessions for a key before peering over the edge from where he heard the women's voice to see what is down there.
The only other thing on the ogre besides the keys is the studded leather armour that appears to be masterwork quality.
DM Aron Marczylo
The woman down in the pit smiles up to you. She's a halfling who appears ot be glad to see you. She's still wearing her armour and cloths but has no obvious weapons on her.
"I'm glad you're here. Please, let me and the others out before the horrible man comes to choose one of us for his experiments. she calls up to Jerin as she looks like she needs help getting up as she tries to climb the pit but appears to be having difficulty.
You can see the pit that she's in is rancid with bare straw in a corner. The conditions are filthy and there are no obvious toilet so, it's in the condition of a zoo pen only without the luxury of someone cleaning it. This is only one of the pits, who knows how bot the other two pits might be.
DM Aron Marczylo
Does Krenn believe her?
Sense Motive 1d20+
You don't think she's acting suspecious or witholding anything.
DM Aron Marczylo
Curnach helps her out of the pit without hesitation, but watches her closely upon seeing Krenn's scrutiny.
1d20+6 Sense Motive
Again, you're certain that she's being sincer and she smiles up at you all, dusting herself off.
"Thank you. I thought I was going to end up like the others that were taken out there." she smiled to you all. "I don't have anything of value on me, my items were taken off me but I swear I'll pay you back." you hear the other people in the other pits calling up as they want to be rescued too.
Curnach Daveck
We still have one more room to search before we can escort you out of here. Please do not leave this chamber until we come for you. We will not be long.
Curnach looks over to the smoother Arianna, his eyes petitioning assistance with the strangers.

"If you insist. I'll help you pull the others up. I know of a tunnel back over there where I came in here, hoping to steal something." she explains to the group, looking nervous as she wanted to leave the area. She walks over to Cabbage head and kicks his body a few times in anger.

We will come back to escort you to safety, Rolth may still be around so please do not try to leave here until we return we wouldn't want you to run into him accidentally, we should not be long.
As they leave towards the last room to the rest of the group, I have magic to locate any secret doors, chambers, or compartments. We should sweep the complex after we find the remaining parts of the boys body and find Rolth. Odd that he would be locked behind a barred door? If we don't find him there then the sweep will make sure he is not here.
DM Aron Marczylo
We will return as soon as we can. Here He says, handing her his shortsword. I know its not ideal for you, but hold onto it until we get back in case someone gets past us.
She takes the blade gladly and waves it around a little, getting the feel for the blade in her hand.
"Thanks. We'll wait here for you." she smiles and continues to look over the blade as she continues to do a few simple blade tricks, though more dexterous than sheer force, though she does have trouble as the blade is a bit big for her."My name is Tiora"| Curnach Daveck |

It is more likely that he is simply not here at this moment in time. I have spotted the secret doors here with ease thus far.
DM Aron Marczylo
The door will require a DC 24 strength check or try to pull out the nails and remove the boards the old fashioned way. There is a mini hallway towards the door which bottles you all into a single file.
Krenn Weststone
Stay quiet and vigilant, Tiora, and we will return for you as soon as we can.
To the others, he'll ask Is it the barred door then?
If so, Krenn will set his crowbar and jam against it with all his bulk and might.
Strength check 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 = 10
Hmph. Fine then.
Pulling out his axe, he goes to work on the door.
To hit, should be automatic.
Damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
*sigh*
He'll try again, this time aiming at the wood rather than the steel bindings.
Damage 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

You manage to hack into it, but this door was meant to be boardered strong. You shatter some splinters however you don't do too much to it.
You still have the option to work on opening the door by removing nails and such which'll take 2 minutes. It'll be noisy, but it'll be out of the way.
DM Aron Marczylo
As Krenn opens the door inside looms a large figure. A creature that appears to be made of several different parts of animals and humans. It roars with rage which sounds like a mix between a human and some kind of animal scream.
In it's right hand it clutches a left arm with shoanti marks all over it like the other body peices you have collected so far.
This was one of the things Rolth was thrown out for, a Carrion Golem. Cheaper and easier to construct than a flesh golem due to the usage of any spare parts laying about.
Carrion Golem constructs follow orders of they're creators. Due ot the foul peices that they're constructed from they are known to infect with disease when attacking. They are weak against bludgeoning and slashing weapons
Carrion Golems are immunue to all magic
Althought immune to magic there are certain spells which have effects on them as listed below:
• Gentle repose causes a carrion golem to become stiff and helpless for 1d4 rounds if it fails a Will save against the spell.
• Animate dead causes the various parts of the golem’s body to shudder and tear, dealing 1d6 points of damage per caster level to the golem (no save).
• Any magical attack that deals cold or fire damage slows a carrion golem (as the slow spell) for 2d6 rounds (no save).
• Any magical attack that deals electricity damage hastes a carrion golem (as the haste spell) for 2d6 rounds.
Got told how to do the knowledge correctly on d20pfsrd
Round 1
Group Initiative:
Curnach Daveck: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20
Jerinthian Kos: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Arianna Rothschild: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Krenn Whetstone: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

Everyone please remember Guidance.
Curnach hurls fire at the beast, the flame in his hand diminishing in size as he throws a sizeable portion of it.
Produce Flame, hurling it so duration reduced by one minute. Duration left, 18 rounds.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 VS Touch, expending Guidance.
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Jerin
knowledge arcana 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
The creature is a Carrion Golem, unfortunately I don't know much else about them...I guess chop it to pieces?
Jerin will move to the NW corner of the room and launch fire a
lightning bolt DC 14 reflex save 5d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 2, 2, 3) = 18 at it
DM Aron Marczylo
As Jerin's ligtning bolt crashes into the creature it does not appear to do any damage to the construct, however it appears to power it up when the lightning strikes it and it seems to perk up, however when Curnach hits it with his flame it does the opposite and slows down, becoming sluggish and slow.
Krenn's mighty swing just misses the sluggish creature which now lashes out at Krenn which it's arms slam down onto Krenn's armour, however it didn't appear to deliver enough force to actually harm the dwarf.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
2d6 ⇒ (3, 3) = 6 rounds of slow.
Jerin
Round 2 Action
I really don't have much magic to help you left, but I do have this!
Move action to draw tanglefoot bag, throw it at the golem and use guidance.
Ranged Touch atk vs. its touch AC + guidance - shooting into combat 1d20 + 3 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 1 - 4 = 18 reflex DC 15 or glued to floor, if it hits entangled -2 to hit, -4 to dex.
DM Aron Marczylo
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
The golem falls to the floor as it slips up on the grease spell
Round 2
Order:
Jerinthian Kos
Curnach Daveck
Krenn Whetstone
Creature
Arianna Rothschild
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
It makes the save not to be glued, but it is entangled.
Curnach Daveck
Curnach attempts to throw another ball of flame at the Golem.
Please remember the -4 to dexterity for entangled- I have included the -4 from prone and the -4 from firing into melee into my attack roll.
1d20 - 4 ⇒ (9) - 4 = 5 Vs Touch AC -2
1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
DM Aron Marczylo
The creature has the flame fired upon it, but misses and doesn't hit it. As it then rises up provoking an AoO from Krenn
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
1d10 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
It then falls prone again as it is unable to get up to steady itself.
DM Aron Marczylo
As Ariana stabs at at the Carrion Golem her blade does not manage to peirce the creature's hide, yet Krenn's slashing axe has cut straight through it.
Round 3

Round #3
Arianna will drop her ineffectual weapon and take a 5' step round the edge of the Grease. She will unwrap her bladed scarf from her waist and attack the golem.
Assuming it's still prone
Attack roll: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 4 = 27
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
DM Aron Marczylo
Fire from Curnach does hit the creature, but it does not appear to have been harmed by the flame in any way, but it does act slowly, slowed down somehow by the flame.
Once again it attempt to stand up but once against falls back down, provoking an AoO from both Krenn and Arianna. Kren's Axe hit's true into the beast, but it remains alive and Arianna's stabs hard, just peircing it's hide.
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
Krenn's Axe 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
damage 1d10 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Arianna's Rapier Since you still had it out before your action 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
In Arianna's attack with her bladed scarf she manages to slice the head off. The creature remains motionless on the floor no-longer fighting and nearby you see the arm it dropped at the begining of combat with the Shoanti tatoos upon it. It's a left arm and appears to match the body peices you found so far.
End of combat
DM Aron Marczylo
Do we have a complete corpse? We will search the room as well. I think this was the last room. Sweep the complex for any other secret doors of compartments?
Yup. legs and hips from the dumping ground with the Othyugth, head off the flesh golem, right arm and Torso in Vreeg's chamber and now left arm.
Curnach Daveck
We can have a cursory look, but I think we've found it all. Lets get this corpse back to the Shoanti, and escort the others out of here. Arianna, perhaps you could petition refuge from the Captain as well as our regular payment; if the Guard has the resources, I don't want these victims simply back on the street...
Krenn Weststone
I'm not sure we should leave this complex until we can be somewhat sure that he's not coming back. The only thing I can think of that might smooth things over with the Shoanti beyond returning their son for burial is bringing them the head of the culprit.
Anyone got some Sovereign Glue? Or a needle and lots of thread?
