Kirilarien |

Round 4
Secure at least for now behind the two-frontliners Kiri attempts to use her wand to heal some of Arachiel's wounds.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 healed

Telurion |

Round 4
Durin and Arachiel each heal 5 points of damage, and Telurion takes 10. Kiri/Marcus, Telurion is still 100000 miles away from Arachiel and Durin. I have moved for the last 3 rounds but at the end of this round should still be 40' away. My channel can't even reach them. It seems I seriously miscalculated the initial encounter distance...
The aasimar keeps moving forward, inching closer to his companions - as he does so, it is with satisfaction he notices some of their wounds begin to close. In response, his body begins to take on some of their pains, becoming slightly bruised and battered.
Focusing on his conjured weapon, he wills it into attacking another of the creatures.
One move action to get closer to the others. Another move action to have the Spiritual Weapon change targets, and attack.

Telurion |

I was under that impression, but I am still 60' away at the start of this round it seems.

DM Alexander Kilcoyne |

Telurion continued to march forwards, directing his longsword to strike one of the spear-armed zombies upon the stack of logs; leaving a slight gash upon it. Kirilarien healed up some of Arachiel's wounds with her wand, but even as she applied the healing she sensed from the violence in front of her that more was to come.
I make 27 damage on Arachiel- 12 healed from Lay on Hands, 5 healed from Life Link, 4 healed from CLW. 6 damage remaining, before the Juju zombies act.
Thanks partially to Marcus' slow spell, all of Barak's bolts found their marks as he fired at the three undamaged zombies climbing up the west wall towards him and his angelic companion- thoughtfully leaving the one closest to the Hound Archon alone so the warrior would have something to strike. Two of his bolts made the slowed zombie's movements even more difficult while the third bolt struck with enough force to dislodge the climber entirely, his grip slipping from the rough stone wall. The fall did nothing to the tough Undead but would obviously buy Barak more time.

Falling Damage (None): 1d6 - 5 ⇒ (4) - 5 = -1
The zombies, even those slowed further by Barak's bolts, continued to climb. The zombie Barak had shot off the wall climbed with particular zeal, seeking to regain its distance. Its efforts were completely unsuccessful. A few others found themselves unable to finish the climb but managed to retain their grip and steady themselves. The zombie closest to the Hound Archon was struck in the shoulder but the blow did not prevent it from clambering up onto the wall and drawing its sword. The Hound struck again as it clambered up using its AOO for the round, further damaging the dead thing but not destroying it.
Every zombie in this part of the battlefield is currently under the effects of the archon's menacing aura (except one, denoted by text). Thus, the yellow triangle now denotes only those who are entangled for the round (and thus far easier to hit).
One of the zombies Barak had just hindered with his bolts managed to scrabble its way up to the lip of the wall. Propping itself up on an elbow, the thing drew its sword- although there was no room to pull itself up with Barak stood there it seemed ready to try and cut off his legs. Behind the Dwarf, two more zombies had climbed up and drawn their blades, one of them moving to cut him off and flank him. Slowed as they were, none of the zombies were fast enough to get the drop on Barak and strike him; but they had finally gained part of the wall...

Over to the other messy end of this battlefield :).
The zombies were well-practiced in fighting in formation in life and covered each other's movements as they relentlessly assaulted Durin and Arachiel. Nevertheless, the two warriors struck in unison as a swordsman leapt off the stack of logs to close with Arachiel. Alas, with so many foes to focus on, their weapons merely glanced off the sentient warrior's armour!

Your large sized models not completely to scale sadly. You take up 5 squares across between you when it should be four. Their models are actually Small sized in an effort to make the map work. Lining up 3 against Arachiel for simplicity. As this is a little awkward for you, i'm assuming you've maneuvered yourselves so your no longer adjacent, with the extra 5 feet between you. This would be a natural defensive maneuver to prevent further cleaves and to allow Telurion to step into the fray if he wished. So basically- Arachiel doesn't tke up his left-hand side, even if the map looks like he does :P.
Edit: I reworked you as Background objects rather than Tokens to visually represent this. Should be ok now. Disregard some of the above :). Still have you non-adjacent to minimise cleave potential.
The warriors poured in, shifting so as to let the swordsmen take the front wherever possible. Despite the efficiency of the smaller warrior's maneuvers around the larger between sword and spear strikes, some build up was inevitable; with some zombies simply waiting for their comrades to fall in order to step into the fray. Those six still caught within the tentacles made no progress at all in getting free.

Time for attack rolls...
The swordsmen among the Undead opted for an unusual tactic; one that they had been thoroughly trained to do in life. They targeted Durin and Arachiel's weapons, seeking to wreck them with powerful, two handed sword blows. Durin's hammer quickly proved near-indestructible thanks to both its formidable adamantine quality and its greater power whilst Durin's rage flowed through it. Arachiel's blade suffered both a glancing blow and a much more direct one- the latter swordsman managing to strike the exact point where hilt met blade and jarring the metal with a strong arm.

The spearman in the second ranks jabbed over the heads of their allies, taking advantage of Durin and Arachiel's magically augmented height. Their attack was far more straightforward; while the swordsmen focused on crippling the warrior's ability to fight, the spearmen simply continued to stab, seeking to spill the Dwarf and Aasimar's blood upon the plain. Arachiel's armour and shield were of great value against most blows coming his way but Durin's own, more bestial two-handed fighting style left little room for defence. The tough Dwarf was stabbed three times, each blow leaving more of his blood upon the trail...

Both Arachiel and Durin were now bleeding heavily, the strong Juju warriors taking their toll on the pair. On the north side, the Juju zombies were gaining a foothold atop the roof on which Barak and the Archon fought. From his viewpoint above the entire battlefield, things did look a little bleak to the battle mage soaring above...
Marcus, Durin and Arachiel are up.

A blast of fire enveloped all of the longspear armed zombies at the barricade, as well as one caught in the tentacles, the ogre, and five fresh zombies moving to join the fray. Most of the zombies were burnt by the fire while a few had enough cover or agility to avoid nasty burns- anything less than full exposure was utterly ignored by the tough warriors. Two longspear armed zombies at the front were blasted apart by the explosion but the others remained standing.

Still swinging his unstoppable longhammer, Durin smashed one of the zombies up into the air, impaling it on the spikes of the nearby barricade. Arachiel unleashed a blast of channeled positive energy. Its effect on the Undead was far more pronounced than Marcus' fireball, harming all of the spirits animating the dead flesh despite their unholy resistance to such attacks. Marcus' fireball had already destroyed most of the weakest of the zombies however, and the only zombie that fully succumbed to the wave of positive energy was one caught in the tentacles nearby. Positive energy flowed out of every orifice as the corpse fell to the ground in a burst of white radiance. The ogre nearby also felt the full effect of the channel and seemed close to exorcism. Both ogres lurched their way towards the barricade, coming perilously close to the grasping tentacles which sought to grab them.

The furious battle was still on a knife's edge as the group fought on, expending might, magic, blood and steel in pursuit of taking the firebase. Several undead had fallen, but most of the group's limited resource of magic was now depleted, Durin and Arachiel both sported wounds and their ranged combatant was now engaged in melee.
The furious clash of weapons upon armour, the cries of pain and dialogue coming from the living, the flashy bursts of positive energy and the extravagant fireball made the firebase quite a hotbed of activity. As a matter of fact, the struggle had attracted the attention of another walking corpse nearby- one that had quietly crawled out from underneath the nearby wagon with Telurion distracted by the fight ahead. He spotted the creature after it had already risen to its feet, below and down the edge of the trail from him.

Telurion continues moving forward towards his companions, until he stands side by side with Kirilarien - as he does so, both the paladin and dwarf feel their wounds healing, the woes transferred to the Aasimar.
I believe that puts me in a position to attack the zombie between Durin and Arachiel? Or if Kirilarien is flying, Telurion will stand below her. Arachiel and Durin each heal 5hp of damage - Telurion takes another 10hp of damage.

Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23

Currently picturing Marcus as about 100 feet in the air at the position I have marked him at, in order to gain a view of the whole battlefield unobstructed.
Telurion recognised the Undead that seemed intent on climbing the slope, before he moved over to Arachiel and Durin.
You have encountered this type of Undead before. It is a Wight, an intelligent walking corpse. A basic wight is not especially powerful, but like a Juju zombie, this type of Undead is also intelligent; although it does not retain its expertise from its life.
CR3 Base.
A wight's slam is infused with negative energy and imparts a negative level upon impact. An individual slain by a wight rises up as its spawn in mere moments.
A wight is skilled at fighting in darkness and against foes making use of concealment. Its perception is also especially keen for a creature of its power.
In position behind the duo, Telurion released a blast of positive energy whilst using Arachiel's back as shelter. The blast exorcised all of the remaining longspearmen at the barricade as well as destroying the closest Ogre in an impressive display of positive energy. The ranks of the Undead had been significantly thinned by the sustained power levelled at them. Nearby, Kirilarien continued to salve Arachiel's wounds.

To the north, the Hound Archon struck the zombie clinging on to the wall by Barak's foot. The angel cut a gouge out of the zombie's arm and then finally near-severed it at the shoulder. The zombie fell off the wall, damaged but landing on its feet. Barak swiftly turned and fired his crossbow at point blank range at the zombie on the wall beside behind him. Just as he raised the crossbow to swiftly take aim, the foul Undead lashed out with its sword in both hands. Barak's crossbow was quite heavily enchanted but the sword nevertheless hacked into the frame and to the guide's dismay, left a sizable gash on its stock. He unleashed the bolt nevertheless and followed up with two more, but the damage done was minimal, the second bolt glancing from the fighter's breastplate and the third misfiring; the damage done to the crossbow likely contributing to it.

Over to the Juju zombies initiative. Resolving from north to south for clarity.
Following up from the success it had in damaging Barak's crossbow, the zombie focused even more power into an two handed swing that nearly snapped the firing limb of the Dwarf's crossbow, whilst also aimed at damaging the hound archon's weapon, failing in this secondary endeavour. Any further damage to the crossbow would clearly not be superficial, the grizzled Dwarf could see.
The other zombie in a position to threaten both beleaguered warriors mirrored its companions cleaving swing; this time damaging the hound's sword but Barak expecting the follow up and pulling his crossbow out of the arc of the longsword. The third zombie on the roof struck the centre of the greatsword with such force that it shattered the blade, leaving the archon clutching a hilt with half a blade.
Another HP of damage on the weapon will give it the Broken condition. Note Barak CMD 27- 1 extra from the extra +2 Dex he is receiving, 1 extra from the additional +1 Deflection bonus from Magic Circle against Evil from the Hound beside him.

Seeing melee battle finally joined above, those zombies still on the ground climbed with renewed frenzy, abandoning their slower and safer climbing in favor of attempting to scramble up the wall in a single motion of alacrity. Their frenzied climb served them well and the ruined rooftop was now getting more and more crowded with deadly warrior zombies. Barak was once again threatened from below by the same Juju zombie knocked down by the archon and only two zombies failed the 20 foot climb. With the archon's sword shattered into two pieces and Barak's prized darkwood crossbow close to warping, things looked especially bleak for the pair.

Those zombies still trapped in the black tentacles strained against their magical bonds. Despite the vigilance and deadliness of the conjuration, one of the Juju slipped through and pulled itself free, beginning to march around the building to join the fight at the barricade.

Durin and Arachiel each struck a zombie as they maneuvered around them like halflings on market day. Durin's target was a heavily damaged swordsmen and his hammer blow caved in both its chest and its breastplate armour. Arachiel's was a relatively fresh spearman moving to get to Durin and he very nearly lined up a decapitating blow; the myriad of sword strikes targeting him putting him off from a near-perfect strike.

Seeing that sundering Durin's hammer was nigh-impossible, the swordsmen continued to hack and slash at Durin. Little by little, the giant seemed sure to fall as gaps were found and exploited in his defences by the four blades brought to bear against him simultaneously. Somehow, between his hammer haft, armour, reflexes and hardened skin he escaped any cuts to his skin. The spears were more subtle threats, their lunges harder for the Dwarf to focus on. He was stabbed twice, both spears stabbing through his breastplate and into his abdomen. Blood soaked the inside of his enchanted breastplate and his prodigious toughness would clearly not keep him standing for long.

Went back and looked through posts to determine total damage to Durin. 67 damage total (DR already accounted) minus however much healing Telurion has managed.
Note on North Focus map, yellow once again denotes Aura of Menace.
Marcus, Durin and Arachiel are up.

Telurion |

AK, I seem to see two zombies in reach of Telurion's bardiche (between Durin and Arachiel)- would he be entitled AoOs against them?

Marcus Claudius Marcellus |

Round 5 (continued)
No delay.
Even from his vantage point high above Marcus can barely see Barak under the swarm of zombies now atop the roof. He can't assay Durin and Arachiel's exact condition but each looks at risk of falling despite the growing number of undead underfoot.
TIME TO GO! he shouts across the battlefield. TELURION CHANNEL AND PULL BACK! REGROUP TO THE EAST!
The strain of expending so much magic so quickly has the conjurer's vision swimming in and out of focus but he manages yet another spell, an extra-dimensional pit opening up under four of the zombies at the southern barricade. The three spearman and longsworder above the 2. That should create problems for most of them other than the two in between Durin and Arachiel. The latter will need to shift though or risk falling in.
Thats all I can do, blessed Muir make it be enough.
The wizard then flies down toward Barak using his teleportation magic to close more of the distance. 60' move down and north anticipating him going that way. Then the swift action to get closer.

Houndy the Archon |

Round 5
The archon grunts in assent at Barak's suggestion but has no time for further conversation.
Throwing the remains of its useless blade into the closest zombies face the archon lunges forward at the others nearby, teeth flashing.
Only when the celestial soldier is sure it has the zombies attention it moves past Barak and into the waiting air.
Standard action to aid Barak's acrobatics.
Aid Other: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14 vs DC 10
Move to Barak and jump off the roof staying in the square below to provide cover for his retreat. Note if for some reason he doesn't draw the AOOs then he stays on the roof where he is. Think he's smart enough to manage all of this.
Acrobatics (to avoid fall): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
With any luck Barak can pull of a double move but he'll need a DC 15 acrobatics check to avoid falling prone with possible loss of brains....

Durin Stonehammer |

I have to go to work and don't have time to wait to post... but I would prefer to delay until after Tel's action... and then possibly move first and then attack. Trying to avoid too many AoO if I can help it... and targeting zombies that are on this side of the pit that can chase us.
Round 5 Init 11b
As the wounds begin to mount, and the enemy numbers fail to fall fast enough, Durin changes his stance again, focusing on defense more than ever, (fighting defensively, AC now 23) before answering the call to retreat. He makes a fighting withdrawal as he moves back in unison with Arachiel... (SA attack, MA 30')

Please always list DC's for spells and abilities when you remember to guys, saves me lot of time on my end.
The zombies at the barricade were fairly agile; but then again, Marcus was a specialist in conjuring. The extradimensional pit he expertly brought into being swallowed up all four of its intended targets, each sustaining heavy damage from the unexpected fall.

Seriously, those D6 rolls. Wow.
Durin swung defensively, breaking the bones of a spearman zombie yanking his longspear from Arachiel's gut but not destroying it. He moved to disengage whilst maintaining a fighting retreat, dodging and parrying sword blows whilst the spear levelled at him struck only his armour.

For his part, Arachiel's cleaving swing slashed deep into the closest zombie's chest, likely softening it up enough for Telurion to finish it with a channeled burst of energy. As he fell back, he too managed to disengage without being wounded.

The remaining ogre had no feasible means to get past both the tentacles and the pit, and simply marched forward as far as it could manage towards the fray.
Meanwhile, the Undead creature near the wagon spotted the two enlarged warriors on the slope above it. With the attention of both Durin and Arachiel on the Juju zombies they were disengaging from note- both your AOO's for this round already used, it scrabbled up the steep slope and fearlessly attempted to leap upon Arachiel's back. Sensing movement in his peripheral vision, Arachiel simply shifted his feet and the Undead's momentum almost carried it face down into the wagon path, utterly missing its target. It snarled in frustration as it whispered, apparently to itself-

Not that it matters this round, as they missed, but how were zombies getting flank on Durin?

Barak Varr |

Barak shouts up to Marcus"We'll meet you back at the bluff, Dwarfather watch over you." and with that Barak leaps of the roof...
withdraw action
falling with style:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
1d6 ⇒ 3 Non-lethal Damage
Barak considerable agility allows him to roll with the impact of the fall absorbing any potentially serious injures. As he ends his roll he instinctively reaches out to grab the waiting archons hand propelling himself into a run towards the eastern lip of the fire base. "Come on! lets get going." Barak calls to his new bodyguard ans he runs.
So Barak is landing diagonally to the right and running along side the wall. by my calculations this leaves him a bit 5-10ft from the lip and the slope and no zombie has a clear charge path to Barak.
HP:59(-3NL)

Telurion |

AK, is Telurion currently threatened?
EDIT: Also, would he be able to move far enough to occupy that space next (on the left) to Durin?

DM Alexander Kilcoyne |

Not with a single move action of 20 foot. You can get directly north of that square though. Basically just count 4 small squares in each big square, counting two diagonals as 15 feet as usual on a grid. You are not currently threatened (all the teal halo backgrounds are swordsmen, the black ones spearmen).

Telurion |

Ok, time for some Oracle math ;)
Durin has already factored in Telurion's life link. Assuming Arachiel's status is up to date, he will heal 5 more hp, going to 57, while Telurion takes another 10hp of damage, down to 24.
Moving to his companions as they retreat, the aasimar gets as close as possible as he can to his enlarged dwarven ally, his spiritual blade continuing to slash at the undead on the barricade.
Spiritual Weapon attack: 1d20 + 5 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 5 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Moving South, then Southwest and South again - will end on the space directly north of the top right corner of Durin's pic.
As he moves, Telurion conveys the nature of their new foe to his companions - "Beware of his attacks - its touch will drain your very life essence. It is an intelligent this one, but not less determined than other wretches of undeath"
Not sure if usually AK allows everyone to read the spoilers once it is determined the person rolling the knowledge will inform the group?
Pondering for a few split seconds only, he decides his companions, as well as himself need healing - setting his weapon to protect the rear of the retreat from the possible zombie pursuit, in tandem with the protection afforded by the reach of his enlarged companions, another burst of pure energy emanates from the oracle, this time invigorating his allies, while excluding his foes.
Selective channeling to leave out the wight and as many zombies as possible from the healing effect.
Healing Channel: 5d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3, 5, 3) = 20
Everyone heals 20 points of damage - Telurion heals 30 due to Fey Foundling.

PC Actions
The spiritual weapon is not attacking anyone without a move action to redirect it- its former target has been destroyed (again).
Telurion joined his larger companions and then healed their wounds with another powerful channel.
The summoned Hound Archon provided a distraction for Barak to get clear of the roof, teeth snarling but not piercing flesh as one of the longswords swung low and brought the Hound Archon down. The archon's powerful innate resistance to non-evil weapons protected it from the many swords cutting through its hardened flesh but it nevertheless was dealt a series of minor wounds as it struggled to regain its footing.

Below, Barak looked around for his summoned companion, but realised that he had not made it off the roof. He made it to the lip of the firebase, back to the same steep slope he had scrambled up a short time ago.
__________________________________________________________________________
North, Zombies
Above him, one of the damaged zombies hurled itself off the roof after him, managing quite a good landing in its breastplate armour. Its naturally high speed let it catch up to Barak and it let its longsword drop the ground as it attempted to latch onto Barak and prevent him from escaping. While the zombie did grab Barak's arm, the Dwarf managed to shake himself free.

The remainder of the zombies choose to simply swarm the downed Hound Archon. Two of the zombies failed once more to climb the steep wall, while the zombie clinging to the edge of the wall managed to ram its longsword one-handed, right through the hound's leg and into the very stone underneath. Further attacks eventually wounded the Hound Archon enough for one zombie to slash its throat in a brutal, visceral display of prowess. The archon was sent hurtling back to the celestial realms to nurse its wounds, the summoning disrupted.
Two more zombies gave chase to Barak, but were still slowed by Marcus' spell. One of them landed badly, its ankle bone snapping on impact, while the other landed on its feet.

Middle/South, Zombies
The zombies clutched by the tentacles continued to struggle while the zombies inside the pit got to their feet and started climbing. While those in the pit could not be seen, two more zombies squirmed free of the black tentacles holding them in place.

Ten foot progress.
The zombies seemed intent on giving chase. By some miraculous mixture of luck, armour and agility, the closest, badly damaged swordsman: ducked under a misplaced strike from Durin, partially parried Arachiel's sword to take a hit upon its armour and withstood Telurion's bardiche as it closed with the Oracle and Paladin; seeking to finish its previous work shattering Arachiel's sword. Against all odds, it succeeded in damaging the Aasimar's sword further, but did not quite manage to break the enchanted blade. A second swordsmen surged in at the same moment, its armour also proof against Telurion's bardiche. Arachiel's enchanted blade continued to hold, struck yet again but the blow lacking the power to damage it.

A third swordsman ran at Telurion. The agile Oracle's bardiche seemed a blur as his training and keen reflexes let him strike a third time, this time his bardiche cutting through the zombie's breastplate as it reached him, carving through the undead's neck and severing it. The Oracle was exultant in his success but was swiftly set upon by two more swordsmen. Attempting to parry their blades with his cold iron bardiche resulted only in the non-magical polearm being shattered; while it was tougher than normal metal it proved no match for the swords of the relentless zombies.

Telurion's cold iron Bardiche is destroyed (Hardness 10, HP10).
As well as the malicious attempts on the weapons of the trio, the two surviving longspearmen stabbed at Arachiel and Durin. The former was more focused on keeping his sword in one piece and was stabbed through his formidable biceps, while the latter's defensive posture was more than enough to ward off the spear point.

Marcus Claudius Marcellus |

Round 6
Marcus feels the early end to his summoning as a sharp snap in the corner of his mind, but its just another thread in the current tangle.
THE HOUND IS GONE. DON'T LOOK BACK!
Confident Barak can now withdraw safely off the hill, Marcus flies south toward his other companions although he remains close enough to return if something goes wrong. Flying towards the others but remaining at a move plus short range spell ie 100'.

With the zombies seemingly in pursuit and with the worst of his wounds healed, Durin attacked with a little less mind to his defence and continued to fall back. He struck a zombie but it met the haft of the hammer with a hastily raised longspear, cushioning and lessening the blow to its armour. In turn, Durin's own armour received a couple more superficial blows as he moved thirty feet back down the wagon trail, leaving plenty of room for Arachiel and Telurion.

The Wight in Arachiel's way never stood a chance. Holy power flared through the Aasimar as his faith-bolstered sword hacked the undead into two pieces with one powerful swipe of his sword. The Juju zombies did their best to hinder Arachiel as he continued to fall back, but their efforts were continually foiled by his prowess and armour.

Telurion, Kiri and Barak are up. Marcus i'm aware your position is wrong on the screen print. Its correct on actual map on my end. Please see the OOC before posting, all.

Barak Varr |

Barak growls with frustration as the hound Archon is brought down.
With the clumsy zombie still trailing Barak cannot safely break into a full run.
Barak continues his run stepping over the parapet and attempting to slide down the loose gravel to the bottom of the slope...
withdraw action.
Acrobatics:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Barak's footing slips on the loose stones and he falls rolling down the slope and coming to a stop in a heap at the bottom of the decent.

Telurion |

Lets hope they are all out of AoOs ;)
Looking around, and then at his broken and useless weapon, Telurion understands the dire straits they find themselves currently in. But he is also bolstered by the fact that Arachiel has just cleaved through what seemed like a dangerous foe, that they are all still standing as a team, and that the sheer amount of foes stacked against them in this desolate place has dwindled dramatically.
He knows this is definitely not a won battle, that they may not even be given a chance to walk away from this confrontation with their lives, but still there is a sparkle in the aasimar's eyes as he faces his attackers - the same sparkle that grows into a burst of holy energy, washing over their animated dead bodies.
Energy channel to harm the undead DC19: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 5, 3, 1) = 14
Then he simply moves along, after his companions - "Right behind you, but remember I do not move as fast as you" - he warns.
Guys, if you simply dash madly away, Telurion will not be able to keep up - that means, if you move more than 20' (which is how far he can go when 'blasting and moving'), he will be the last one, and closest to the zombies. Consequently, he is open for multiple charges, and even if they don't charge, he will most likely bear the brunt of all their attacks. Just saying.

Telurion's final burst of positive energy destroyed three more Undead, but they did not follow. Instead, they turned back towards the barricade and began hustling back towards the firebase. Barak's descent was quite clumsy and led to a few scrapes and bruises; but similarly, he was not pursued further- the Undead seemingly unwilling to leave the fortification in pursuit.
Falling Damage to Barak: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8
A minute or two later, the group were fully gathered on a small hillock several hundred feet away from the Firebase. With no apparent response to deal with flying units, the incredibly fast Kirilarien had taken the time to report the Undead's remaining numbers.
17 Juju left and one Ogre. We took out a little over half of their force. They don't seem to be idle- they are blocking the southern exit of the fortification with the corpses of the fallen, closing the gap entirely.
Please do a full HP, spells used, channels used, hunters tricks etc. audit, especially if your thinking of having another assault. Also note damage to weapons somewhere.

Profile updated as requested, under the "Current Status" spoiler
"My blade can not take much more, but if the rest of you are willing, we should finish them off." Looking around at the tired and battered party, he adds. "Though it does not necessarily have to be today."
Thinking back to their time together previously, "Telurion, if I remember right, you had an ability of some sort that you used to repair my armor one time. Might you still have that ability and do you think that it would work on my blade?"

Barak Varr |

Barak jogged briskly back to the hillock small patches of blood sticking to the knee material of his britches. Barak removes the bolts from his crossbow and test fires the machine. All was not well with the mechanical bow whist it still fired a loud clicking and a strained rattle preceded each time Barak pulled the draw lever.
"Well its not the first time my bow took a blow but the internals seem to be dislodged I'll need someone to take a look at it. But after we finish here whats the plan heal up and go again I'll stick with you guys this time if you don't mind."

Marcus Claudius Marcellus |

As the party re-groups Marcus is clearly relieved that everyone is more or less whole.
Right, that was hairier than expected. Sorry everyone.
Telurion, Durin are you prepared to continue? I'm fine either way. If we are, its heal up quickly and go before our enchantments expire.
I'm mostly spent but have a few tricks left. He nods at Barak. This time it would be all up together letting Telurion channel them down.
Durin and Arachiel should still have a range advantage but its going to take more work to get through the barricade with them reinforcing it. Another reason to go now if we're doing it.
Realised I missed another grapple roll but there was just the two still caught. Trust the DM can resolve.

"I am ready if the rest of you are." the paladin says preparing to go back to battle.
If we are moving back in, Arachiel will cast Bull's Strength on himself and activate his divine bond for an additional +1 enhancement bonus on his sword. Obviously if we are holding back, these things will not be done.
