Game Master Alexander Kilcoyne

A period of interlude where the Guardians of the Greenbelt did little but rule and expand their fledgling nation- Kardas.

Spellcraft 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

Ilya successfully adds fox's cunning to his spellbook.

Will do, same with the scroll, Ilya, don't forget to add the scroll of fox's cunning to your spellbook if you want it.

Revised turn:

Month 22 suggestion:
Strategy: Noble from the River Kingdom moves to SwordHaven and expand the Kingdom!
Starting BP: 25 BP

Switch Casimir's bonus to stability...
0 BP for consumption, +1 BP for 0 unrest (no), -12 BP for half price Noble Villa (Gives us mansion and lots of others for 1/2 price) , Claim hex A21-farm it-road it -4BP, sell 2 items (half-plate & potion of CMW's).
Ending BP: 9 BP, +0 BP Unrest, + items, + Economy Roll.
Benefits: Econ +1, +1 Loyalty, +1 Stability.

We would then only fail stability on a natural 1 even with the expansion. If we don't feel the noble villa is worth the investment then I say we get another pier. Only costs 8BP and we end up at the same Econ & Stability.

Ending Rolls if we buy 1 of these:
Economy +31
Loyalty +28 (+27 w/pier)
Stability +27

Control DC is 29.

What do you guys think?

^^^ +1... pier

HP: 49/60 AC: 22, T:13, FF:21, CMD:16. Fort:+5, Ref:+5, Will:+8(+7). Per:+14, Init:+0, AoO:+8

Our Loyalty is fine for now, so we might as well go with the pier and get the noble villa closer to when we want to build some of the half-price buildings it gives us.

Benefits: Econ +1, +1 Loyalty, +1 Stability and claimed another hex.

I say we buy the scroll as well out of party funds and then sell it on the open market, costs us 350gp out of party funds. Just before we end year 2 we can withdraw 1 BP to pay ourselves back for some of these purchases. Assuming agreement

sell half-plate +1 Economy 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (17) + 31 = 48
sell potion of CMW's Economy 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (3) + 31 = 34
BP generated Economy 1d20 + 31 ⇒ (2) + 31 = 33

wow, we just can't shake the bad die rolls now.

We sell both items and buy the last. Items to generate for next turn:

2 Medium items - SwordHaven
1 Minor item - Northgreen

I like the suggestions. But our next major goal should be to found city #3 at the temple.

The temple gives us either a free temple or half-price off a cathedral (which is definitely the building to go for IMO).

Completely agree, if we get a half price Cathedral there getting this up and running ASAP should be our next goal. We need some luck with items and we should be able to do it turn 27 due to it being forest. We hav enough votes to move forward but I would like to get Fenna's ok as well, then we need the item rolls from Alex tonight.

Got it, we are missing one house, one pier, and then the tradesmen from turn 23.

If we continue to expand I say we build low cost buildings that give us stability as well to keep up the stability check.

General plan as I see it:

Turn 24 Mill expand into Hex A25, road it, we are now at 11 hexes so can start claiming 2 hexes, 2 buildings, 2 roads.
Turn 25 Tannery expand into Hex A24, road it, start city development (takes 2 turns), claim hex A39, road it, farm it.
Turn 26 Blacksmith (finish city development)
Turn 27 city complete, build Cathedral at temple city & another pier in SwordHaven.
with the two cities with medium items we should really be able to crank out the BP at this point as long as we don't keep getting scrolls :)

Fenna, do you want to wait and just have one crafted when you reach 5th? I think Ilya mentioned he is going to take craft wondrous item so if you take Arms and Armor we will be pretty well covered?

Spymaster aids city guards in capture of dangerous criminals. Read all about it:

CSI: Swordhaven:

The small boat rocked gently against the pier. The pale moonlight illuminated the two men waiting on the dock, the sound of their conversation muffled and subdued as they cast worried glances towards the dark warehouses. The larger of the two spat into the water and pulled his cloak tighter to ward off the chill. He's late, he muttered. Don't be such an old woman, Mitch. Ayles knows what he is doing. We'll all be rich men before dawn, his companion shot back. If he knows so much, then why is he late, huh Daff? If he got nicked by the city guards, it's only a matter of time before they come here. Mitch retorted, and checked the heavy crossbow he carried.

Minutes passed, with only the creaking of the dock planks breaking the silence. Then a cloaked figure slipped from the warehouse shadows and approached the pair. Ayles, that you? Mitch asked, raising his crossbow at the newcomer. Get that bloody thing out of my face, ya daft idiot. And don't go shouting my name all over the city. Ayles Megesen pushed back the hood of his cloak and moved onto the pier. Did you get it? Daff asked with badly contained eagerness. Ayles pulled a heavy looking sack from beneath his cloak and shook it, letting the content jingle in a revealing way. Greedy smiles spread on the faces of both Mitch and Daff.

Piece of cake. They got that double-crossing prick Akiros running the city guards, but they are so blind I could have hauled the entire building down here. If the Stag Lord was still alive, we would clean out this piss poor excuse for a city to the last copper. I'm only sorry i didn't get a chance to get even with those thrice-damned guardians. It ain't right, them all shacked up in the Lord's fort like that.

The bandit moved to push past the two and board the boat, when the feeling of a sharp edge against his throat made him freeze in his tracks. A disembodied voice whispered from the darkness right next to Ayles. Be careful what you wish for, Ayles. I would have thought you had sense enough to keep running when we routed your sorry ass two years ago. But I guess we will have to teach you a stricter lesson about not taking things that do not belong to you.

As he spoke, Casimir's spell of invisibility faded, revealing the Spymaster, and the gleaming Aldori blade he held casually against the neck of the bandit. Don't... he warned Mitch, as the big man fingered his crossbow. He may have the drop on Ayles, but he can't take all three of us, Daff growled, drawing a short sword as he spoke.

Casimir smiled. You are probably right, Daff...at least not alone. The bard's left hand made a quick gesture and he muttered Covert Dispatch - Akiros. You are welcome to join the party, Warden. Some of Ayles' friends need to be taught not to wave their weapons about.

Oy, what you doing? Daff demanded. He took a step forward, and then howled in anguish as an arrow suddenly sprouted from his right forearm. Torches flared both on the docks and the murky lake, revealing armed city guards moving in on the pier. The sound of splashing oars grew louder as a boat carrying Akiros, longbow in hand, and a detachment of guards glided into sight.

Nice shot, Casimir called out to the stern Warden. B#!@#&%s! That was a lousy shot. I was aiming for his neck, the gruff ex-paladin barked back, as he climbed out of the boat. He signaled the city guards to carry off Mitch and the injured Daff, and moved to relieve Ayles of his weapons and the stolen goods.

A fair nights work, I should say, Casimir said, as he sheathed his sword. Now, lets find Ayles here a nice hole next to his old friend Auchs. That should keep him out of trouble for a good long while. He smiled innocently at the captured crook as Akiros led him away. I hope you are not too fond of sunlight. It will be a while before you see it again.
