Allyph shoots a ray of electricity at the ceiling, then lets out a sigh. "Such a large target and I can't hit it..."

StephNyan |

@Mavor: I kind of forgot, thanks for reminding me!
Retcon:
Opposing Strength check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
You're able to get the rope around the creature and pull it tight, restricting its movements.
Using the same rolls as before:
Bite: 26 = 26 Damage: 15 = 15
The creature bites into the rope and it snaps, giving the creature the opportunity to swing its claws around.
Claw: 32 = 32 Damage: 11 = 11
Claw: 19 = 19 Damage: 8 = 8
It uses this opportunity to claw at Mavor with both of its razor sharp claws, and severely hurts Mavor.
At the start of Tural's turn:
Mavor heals a bit, while Tural takes damage for him.
--- End of retcon ---
Mavor takes a swing at the creature, but his lack of sight continues to bother him.
Baer wrecks her brain for information on the creature, but she hasn't a clue on its nature. She fires a ray from her staff at the creature, but misses it due to its wild way of moving around in melee.
Tural moves up behind Mavor and pokes him with the wand of cure moderate wounds, healing most of Mavor's wounds.
Quorthos recalls some information on the creature. He recognizes it as a leukodaemon, a powerful outsider that's partially resistant (DR 10) to attacks that aren't made with silver or good aligned weapons. The leukodaemon doesn't appear to be at full strength, though. It shows signs of having been weakened over time.
Allyph tries to hit the leukodaemon with a ray of electricity, but her aim's off and she hits the ceiling instead.
Bite: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (6) + 16 = 22 Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Claw: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21 Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Claw: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21 Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
The leukodaemon bites Mavor in his shoulder and follows the bite up with a couple of swings from its claws, ripping into the blind half-orc's flesh.

Quorthos |

Quorthos frowns as he identifies the creature. "It's a daemon - weapons won't do much unless they're holy or made of silver!"
They didn't make this thing with their alchemy - maybe they were trying to refine something from it instead?
Quorthos flicks his wrist and a slender bone wand drops into his free hand. He ducks around the remains of the vat (using Acrobatics to avoid AO's) and points the wand at the creature. "Exsolece!" A thin grey beam darts forth at the creature.

"We can probably get to the elevator before it...maybe."
Going to hold action while we discuss plan.

@Denario: Whoops, I missed your post! :S
Denario hits the leukodaemon with a scorching ray, which seems to do less damage than he'd anticipated. He, like Quorthos, recognizes the creature.
@Denario: You remember the same as Quorthos, but may ask an additional question for your high roll! :)
@Baer: I didn't notice you took the -4 already!
Just when Baer thinks her ray's about to miss the creature moves right into it. It doesn't deal a lot of damage, though.
--- Moving on to the new posts: ---
Tural taps Mavor again, worried that he might die, and heals a lagre portion of Mavor's wounds.
AoO: Bite: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23 Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Quorthos takes his wand and ducks around the remains of the vat with great agility, but the leukodaemon sees him and attacks with a bite. However, Quorthos manages to dodge the attack, and points his wand at the creature. The leukodaemon's hit by the thin grey beam coming from Quorthos's wand...
CL check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
...but nothing happens.
Mavor: Miss Chance 1-50: 1d100 ⇒ 53
Mavor drops his normal greataxe and takes his silver one, which he uses to give the leukodaemon a massive gash across its chest.
Baer's about to bolt when she remembers she can enhance her staff to overcome the creature's resistance. She moves a little bit closer toward the leukodaemon after enhancing her staff and attacks, but hits the creature on a hard part of its skull and deals no damage.

Denario Vasquez |

Aside from its daemon qualities, what are its special attacks?
"Ah..the bugger's rather resistant to our magics."
Denario spends an arcane reservoir point, to recall Brow Gash, and casts it on his throwing axe, which he draws prior to it.

Allyph Yssal |

Allyph takes her shortbow and nocks a silver arrow. "I haven't done a lot of archery so I hope this hits!"
Shortbow: Silver Arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
She then releases the arrow, which bounces off of the leudaemon's skin without doing any harm.
"Shoot..."

StephNyan |

Once per minute as a standard action, a leukodaemon can unleash a cloud of corpse-bloated, biting black flies in a 20-foot cone. Those caught in the cone take 8d6 points of slashing damage. A DC 21 Reflex save halves this damage. Those who take any damage are also sickened for 1 minute. In addition, the flies linger for 1d4+1 rounds, congealing into a buzzing 20-foot-square cloud centered on the cone’s original point of origin. Any creature that ends its turn in this cloud must make a DC 21 Reflex save to avoid taking 4d6 points of damage and becoming sickened for 1 minute. This cloud of flies may be dispersed by any area effect that does damage or creates wind of at least strong wind force. All daemons are immune to this effect. The save DCs are Constitution-based.
Contagion (Su)
Any arrow a leukodaemon fires from a bow is tainted with disease. If a creature is damaged by a leukodaemon’s arrow, it must make a DC 19 Fortitude save or be affected as if by the spell contagion. A leukodaemon can manifest arrows at will and never runs out of ammunition.
Infectious Aura (Su)
All creatures within 50 feet of a leukodaemon take a –4 penalty on Fortitude saves against disease effects.
Denario recalls the leukodaemon's special attacks and shares the info with the others. He notes that the daemon will need a bow for one of its special attacks, and it seems to be lacking one. It seems a bit odd to Denario that the daemon hasn't used its breath attack yet.
While sharing the information Denario spends an arcane reservoir point to recall brow gash, and he casts the spell on the throwing axe he just drew.
Allyph takes her shortbow and shoots a silver arrow at the leukodaemon, but the arrow doesn't penetrate the daemon's skin.
Bite: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24 Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Claw: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20 Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Claw: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24 Damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
The leukodaemon presses the attack versus Mavor, barely leaving Mavor standing.

Allyph Yssal |

Allyph decides to try again and shoots another silver arrow at the leukodaemon.
Shortbow: Silver Arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

StephNyan |

@Denario: You're currently outside the creature's reach. Go ahead and move your token, you won't provoke! :)
While Mavor swings his axe into the floor, Baer's staff bounces off the leukodaemon's skin not once but twice.
Denario moves and throws his axe at the leukodaemon. The axe hits the creature's skull and the weapon's blade barely leaves a scratch. However, Denario's spell takes effect, and with the sound of snapping bones the tiny scratch opens up to be a small crack from which blood starts trinkling down.
Tural jabs Mavor again with the healing wand, healing more of Mavor's wounds.
Quorthos stabs at the leukodaemon, but he's not able to penetrate the daemon's skin with his dagger.
Allyph shoots another silver arrow at the creature. Her aim's good, but due to being in melee the daemon suddenly moves unpredictably and the arrow misses anyway.
More blood trinkles down from the crack in the leukodaemon's skull, slowly forming a tiny stream down the side of the creature's skull.
Bite, Brow Gasher: 1d20 + 16 - 1 ⇒ (12) + 16 - 1 = 27 Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

The leukodaemon bites Mavor, then hits him with one of its claws. The hit with the claw causes Mavor to stand unbalanced, and the daemon misses Mavor with its second claw when Mavor wobbles a bit backward.

StephNyan |

While Tural heals Mavor and Denario goes total defense, Mavor, Quorthos, and Baer attack the leukodaemon. Mavor and Quorthos their attacks miss horribly, but Baer hits the daemon twice and brings it to its knees. The trinkle of blood seeping from the crack in its skull turns into a small stream as Denario's spell continues to inflict damage. For a moment the daemon just sits there, unmoving. It then begins to fall over, but dematerializes before it hits the floor.
Combat's over!

Quorthos |

Quorthos lets out a long sign of relief. "I thought we were in trouble there," he admits. We should get out of here, we're pushing our luck already...
"Baer, I'm sorry... I didn't recognize the thing while it was in the tank," he mutters, avoiding eye contact.

Baer Mytr |

Baer waves her extremely long arms about for a while longer, practicing with the advanced reach for a few more moments before settling down.
"Nah, it was good that we ended that. It would have been a danger to his city...and we have enough dangers already, don't we?" Baer grunts in return before casting Detect Magic and scanning the area.
"We're almost done here. We should be fine."

Tural Ardas |

Tural jabs himself and Mavor a few times to top them off. He refreshes everyone's battle wards and finally addresses the group.
"I have a few spells left. Barkskin, Bull's strength and fly. Seeing how deep we are in the dungeon it might be best we use these spells soon. If someone can scout ahead without being detected that would be best, if not I'll use my spells here and now."
I think we'll run into the boss fairly soon. I have my misfortune and fortune hexes also, but I'd rather only use them when we know we'll run into a boss instead of using it all day.

Quorthos |

"I've been out of magical power since before the crazy clown lady," Quorthos reveals. "I'll need to stock up on some gear to cover the gaps, once we're done here."
You don't think that either of these last few fights have been the big one? Yikes... the leukodaemon was APL+4, if there's anything more than that we are in trouble without a recharge. I suspect the "boss" is actually in a different building...

StephNyan |

With the leukodaemon taken care of, and after preparing yourselves as best as you can, you head over to the double doors in the east wall and open them. The long hall beyond the doors opens into a circular chamber rising into a high dome. Seven basins jut from the walls, ensconced within evenly spaced alcoves that circle the room. Each is filled to the brim with a unique liquid corruption — blood, bile, milk, or other unidentifiable fluids. Each fills the air with its own distinct reek, creating a noxious, eye-watering bouquet. Upon the floor around each basin lie several small, empty metal boxes, each carved with images of skulls. At the room’s center, rising from a wide pool of crystalline water, rises a golden statue of a sight both erotic and horrifying. The statue is that of a beautiful nude woman, human above the waist, but below this the figure is nothing more than a skeleton.
As you enter this chamber you see a beautiful, pale woman standing in front of the pool and statue. She wields a scythe and greets you with an icy smile. "And so you have found your way to me, hopeful heroes. Know that you stand before the architect of your city’s death. You call this sending blood veil, yet I know it as the gentle kiss of the Pallid Princess. Your reward shall be great — choose of the seven scourges to become one with the goddess. Those who drink, I shall only cripple, leaving you alive to enjoy her as she quickens inside your flesh. Those who abstain are fools, not fit to house the divine gift. You may prostrate yourselves at my feet and I shall make your end all the more swift for it. Swifter, in any event, than this delightful end your lovely queen has enjoined me to create!"

Tural Ardas |

Since no one responded to the spell question or scouted ahead Tural would've cast Barkskin on Baer and bulls strength on Mavor.
Tural casts misfortune on the woman, not giving her the chance to properly finish talking. His booming voice immediately erupts in his chants afterwards.
Misfortune (Su):
The shaman causes a creature within 30 feet to suffer grave misfortune for 1 round. Anytime the creature makes an ability check, attack roll, saving throw, or skill check, it must roll twice and take the worse result. A successful Will saving throw negates this hex. At 8th level and 16th level, the duration of this hex is extended by 1 round. This hex affects all rolls the target must make while it lasts. Whether or not the save is successful, the creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 24 hours.
Chant (Ex):
A shaman can chant as a move action. Any creature that is within 30 feet that is under the effects of the shaman's charm, evil eye, fortune, fury, or misfortune hex has that effect's duration extended by 1 round. A shaman cannot select both this hex and the witch's cackle hex.
