@Hessiel, that's fine.

The wolves, obviously starved enough to attack, jump on the rations and devour. Each one of them are eyeing you warily in between eating and fighting each other.

Very good distraction, in essence distracting for their turn. You're all up again.

Leb please target a different Wolf. You are going to hit Hessiel and since you do not have precise shot its going to be harder than hitting another wolf. My own rule is never hurt another character with an area effect unless it is absolutely necessary and you have their players permission - my own alchemist has the grenadier archetype which gives you Precise Bombs at 2nd level.

I'm not sure what Precise Shot has to do with it; the only wolf I wouldn't need Precise Shot for is out of range. That being said, I shouldn't have unilaterally decided that hitting all three wolves was a worthwhile trade-off for hitting you. Sorry. I will either target the NE grid intersection of the square containing the wolf I originally targeted (dealing 4 damage to it and the wolf NE of it) or ready an action to throw the bomb if/when you respond to my warning by moving, whichever Jelly wants us to do.

Hessiel is adjacent to one of the wolves and has attacked it so its in melee which means if you do not have Precise Shot you take a -4 to hit. But looking at the init order you are before me, so should have got to throw your bomb first followed by Hessiel moving in so it should not be an issue.

PFSRD wrote:

Precise Shot (Combat)

You are adept at firing ranged attacks into melee.
Prerequisite: Point-Blank Shot.

Benefit: You can shoot or throw ranged weapons at an opponent engaged in melee without taking the standard –4 penalty on your attack roll.

According to init order, Hessiel was not near combat during the splash. Splash sticks, no collateral dmg.

Mordack flings a missle off creating a bit of havoc among the wolves. Caz creeps forward and Giltman keeps talking to the cute little woodland creatures...

After an explosion of fire on the center wolf the other two leap mostly out of harms way. Hessiel then moves forward slashing the center forward most wolf in the flank, dealing much damage.

GM:

N wolf - 2
Center wolf - 13
S wolf - 2

The center most wolf leaps at Hessiel who dodges deftly out of harms way.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
A slightly burnt and angry northernmost wolf leaps forward to attack Hessiel who's first dodge was effective enough to evade both.

Numbers do not seem to add up for the Central wolf took 7 damage from Leb, and then 17 - or if shocking grasp was spent on the illusion which it normally would not be - 6. So it should have either 13 or 20 damage.

Hessiel casts arcane mark defensively and whirls his blade slashing at it twice. The first slash cuts home spraying blood and leaving a stylized HL visible upon the wolf's hide, but the second is poorly aimed and flashes through only air.

Ugh. Thank you Hessiel, as much as your correcting me is annoying you are correct. I misread your 17 dmg where you leveled the center wolf. The shocking grasp was used on the illusion. You believed in the 'major image'.

Adjusting further, after Mordack and Leb attack, the northernmost Wolf is toast as well.

I offer you all my apologies and truth be told, I will make more mistakes.

Dealing with the wolves has left you all tired yet wary of these dark woods. After setting watches your night passes uneventfully breaking camp early.
Following the trail, the trees begin to thin, revealing a field of short, green grass that leads to the shores of a wide, calm lake reflecting the

@Mordack and group, I'm not going to be strict about daily hygiene or rations. I will be strict about spell regen and health of course.

Each of you stealthily purvey the area finding a decayed body with large bite marks all over it. The gear is all but decayed and oddly enough there are no signs of scavengers feasting upon it.

Giltman searches around the area finding a masterwork short sword and 89 gp.

About halfway down the hill Giltman begins loosing his balance, slipping and sliding down to his doom! At the last second he grabs hold of a large rock, balancing himself thus saving himself from certain thorny splinters of painful pain.

Ouch chart:

20 or higher:
The character catches himself before he slides too far and takes no damage.
15–19:
The character slides down a short hill before slamming into a tree. The character takes 1d4 points of nonlethal damage.
10–14:
The character slides far down the hill, reducing the number of checks that need to be made by one. Unfortunately, the character also slides through a pair of thickets and lands hard on some rocks, taking 1d6 points of damage.
5–9:
The character slides down a muddy hill and then falls down a 20-foot cliff, taking 2d6 points of damage. This reduces the number of checks that need to be made by one.
4 or less:
The character slides all the way to the bottom of the ravine, taking 2d6 points of damage and 1d4 points of Dexterity damage from a horribly sprained ankle.

Now that the troupe is safely down the treacherous slope you walk along the trail for a bit longer, turning a wide curve in the valley side.
An archway of stone is set into the side of a small hill at the bottom of the valley. Moss has overgrown many of the details but one is still quite clear. The keystone of the arch is carved with a flame symbol with a stylized rune in the middle.
Beyond the archway is a short darkened tunnel that leads to a pair of massive wooden doors, one of which is slightly ajar.

A pair of horses and a trio of ponies lie slaughtered next to the archway, each corpse still tied to a post set into the ground nearby. A swarm of flies hangs lazily in the air above them.
