What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

Y'all need something from me or just at a loss?

Female Aasimar Cleric of Iomedae 5

Oh, sorry, I was really busy RL when you posted and I forgot about it.

That said, I don't have much to do really, so feel free to move on as far as I"m concerned.

Male Chelaxian Void Wizard 5

At a loss, actually. I suppose I could say "I decline to follow the directions," but that seems needlessly obstructionist ;)

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

If you're actually going to deal with the wererats, in whichever method you end up doing it, do you have any preparations to do first, then?

I think Burahl would need to restock on bolts for his crossbow, elsewise I'm not sure he needs anything new.

Lousy weekend for me, I'll get a post up this morning.

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

If no one has anything that they'd like to do beforehand or any objections, I'll move us to the rat's nest later.

Don't let me hold things up, I've had a massive headcold all weekend because Spring is the worst thing ever.

Okay so what exactly is the rod that Fredo is offering? I've tried to look back to find it, but we have, well, quite a few posts at this point, and I'm not even sure when we acquired it. Getting a post up now either way.

Here are its stats. I was given it here, just after we were told to find Trinia.

I've barely used it since, because I don't normally prepare direct damage spells. That's probably why you don't remember it.

Oh, brilliant. Now I can just electro-shock people to unconsciousness rather than death. Raijinn will be pleased by this device's application, given his horror the last time he magick'ed someone into oblivion.

Female Aasimar Cleric of Iomedae 5

I was going back over the previous posts and I realized I missed the OOC question invitation.

I think Emmera would have asked about what Harrowing actually is, as well as any recent Harrowings she had done for the group. I'm fairly certain I've read the appropriate one when I was glancing through the archives, but a link/summary wouldn't be bad so it's easier to find again :)

Male Chelaxian Void Wizard 5

She's only done two harrowings for us. Here is the most recent one. And here is the other.

Sorry! I swore I posted, I'll have something up in the morning.

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

Hey guys, sorry for the massive slow-down. I'm just hitting my end-of-quarter stress, among a few other stressors (finding a place to live next year among them), so I haven't had time to commit faithfully to PbP.

Just know that I'm not neglecting y'all on purpose, and we should be able to speed back up again in just a scant two weeks or so. I should have a post up tonight.

HP 44/44; AC 17, T 14, FF 13; F+7, R+8, W+3; CMD 21; Perc +10, Init +4

No worries. Just resume when things are more free.

What? Half-Elf Writer 1 / Dancer 1 / Chemist 1

I've finally actually re-done Girrigz's statblock :D For PF compatibility, of course.

Global Buffs:

So do you guys have any strategies for me distributing loot that won't end in you guys forgetting about it or giving it away? XD

Just for the record, Girrigz' magical things are a +1 mithral chain shirt, a +1 silver longsword, a ring of protection +1, and a belt of mighty constitution +2. He's also got two more vials of alchemists' fire on him, and a dagger.

Well, I partially have an idea. I'll have a gameplay post up late tonight - I'll be spending most of this evening writing a paper.

Female Aasimar Cleric of Iomedae 5

Assuming there aren't any permanent decorations on it that Emmera would object to as a cleric, she would take the sword. The chain shirt doesn't interest her, the ring of protection wouldn't do anything, and she'd not try for more than it.

leinathan wrote:

All the better to player-kill with. :P

As far as loot, we'll likely just forget, haha.

Let's see... I'm already wearing a Ring of Protection +1, so I'll pass on that one. I also can't wear armour, so that's a bust. Unless I'm mistaken, the belt only gives an additional 4 Hit Points(?), so yeah, I could take it if no one wants it, but I don't think it'll make a huge difference. Then again, I did just come 1 HP from being one-shot, so more health might not be a bad thing...

Male Chelaxian Void Wizard 5

Considering I'm the one who proposed giving the loot away, I'm hardly in a position to ask for any! Plus, I'm carrying around Vreeg's ring of protection (though I haven't put it on for some reason, probably in case someone else wanted it), so I'm doubly not interested in that.

If nobody wants it, that Mithral Chain Shirt is perfect for me, though I'd need to get it toned down to my size. Also I'd grab the vials of alchemist's fire, free alchemical stuff for an alchemist? Why would I say no to that.

Ah, good. Because I couldn't figure out a way that wasn't out of character :p

Sorry guys, have been away from a PC, will have a post up in the morning.

Hey guys,

I know, I know, I bailed. Real life and boring excuses about - however, just read through a lot of what you've done since I disappeared, and just wanted to say its awesome! :) Great stuff, and sorry I missed it. That's all! :)

-K

Global Buffs:

Happy to see you're alive, lexi. I'm glad you enjoyed the pieces you missed.

Still kickin'. :)

Global Buffs:

Alright folks, I think it's time that we leveled up to level five. Standard procedure, of course.

Congratulations on your completed adventure!

Let's see...I think I'll go with this:

HP: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 (+5 Toughness)
2 Feats: Toughness, Power Attack
6 Skills: Use Magic Device, Stealth, Spellcraft, Perception, Knowledge Arcana, Knowledge Dungeoneering

Spells Per Day: +1 L1, +1 L2
Spells Known: Invisibility, Frigid Touch

Sword: +1 Enhancement, +1 Int/Wis/Cha, +3 Ego
Sword gains Energy Attunement.

The Sword can also now learn a new language of your choice, GM.

Status:
HP: 38/38; AC: 17, T: 14, FF: 14; CMD: 15; Fort: 6, Ref: 7, Will: 3; Init +3; Perception +10

Level 5:
Bombs do 3d6 now.
Hit Points: 5+1Con+1FC=7
Skills: 9 skill points going into existing skills.
+1 1st level formulae and +1 2nd level formulae a day.

New extracts: lvl 1: Targeted Bomb Admixture
lvl 2: Barkskin (or Cure Moderate Wounds if we still need extra healing)

Global Buffs:

I was thinking that Matai becomes a +1 merciful scimitar instead of becoming a +2 scimitar and learns Celestial.

The Harrow GM wrote:

I like that idea a lot.

I assume when using Arcane Pool to change my weapon into having something like Flaming, I'd have to toggle this off - would that fit into the same Swift action?

If we'd have time you could possibly learn Invisibility from Fredo, Raijinn. Or if you'd need it I could give you an extract for it.

Global Buffs:

You actually wouldn't. It's a free action to toggle merciful on and off, I believe, but if it's on and you have elemental damage enhancements on your weapon, they also deal nonlethal damage.

For example!

I deal 1d6+6 damage from my weapon, plus 1d6 from merciful, plus 1d6 fire. It's all nonlethal.

Burahl Narnec wrote:

Oooh I forgot that I could learn it from Fredo. I'll likely pick up Bladed Dash instead then, and just steal his spellbook while he's sleeping.

Oh! Okay. Nonlethal fire sounds like quite a thing, haha.

Female Aasimar Cleric of Iomedae 5

Ah, for the record, Water breathing's duration, when cast, is split between all creatures touched, and has a total 2hr/level duration. It's also on the Cleric spell list, so I can not only cast it, but since I have Scribe Scroll, I can make scrolls of it. And scrolls are made at half the price of potions. And, since scrolls are spell-completion and not use-activated, the full duration doesn't have to go on one person.

Again, just for the record ;)

Male Chelaxian Void Wizard 5

Lalalalacan'thearyoumustn'tmetagame...

;)

EDIT because I'm weak: Prepared casters need to prepare spells in order to scribe them. Water breathing is in my opposed school, which means I need to use both my non-specialist slots to prepare it. Emmera can also only prepare the spell once per day, in her non-domain slot, since with a Wisdom of 14 she won't get bonus 3rd-level spells for high ability scores. 3rd-level scrolls take a day to scribe, because their base price is higher than 250 gp. So to make one scroll per party member would take three days.

But we don't need one scroll per party member. Each scroll would last 10 hours. So one scroll could be divided up into three 3-hour, 20-minute blocks while the other is divided up into two 5-hour blocks. Or the two scrolls could each be divided up into two 5-hour blocks, and we could purchase one of Eires's potions for the odd man out.

Or Burahl could learn water breathing from my spellbook (assuming he hasn't already, I don't remember) and brew a potion himself.

Frees up more skill points for me eventually, I had taken up the role of rogueish rat to fill up a little of the void.

Also I must still select a Feat for level 5, anybody a good idea?

Hmm, thinking either another time Extra Discovery or taking Point-Blank shot or Ricochet Splash Weapon for a Feat... Decision decisions

A thief, now that the party has a LG cleric. Oh this is going to go swimmingly I'm sure.

Snark aside, hi! I'm a little busy at the moment, but I'll try to dig up the reference picture so you know how my character looks at the moment. That is, assuming you aren't going on an archive binge of some sort?
