Isabella & GM:
"It was a gift. Token of friendship from the same one who got your whip back. I'm going to see if there's a way to get more of our things back." Sarenth takes the rum and sets it on the ground in front of him. He then turns to the spellbook and spends some time releasing one of the spells from his mind and replacing it with a more useful one. After he has the appropriate spell, he murmers some arcane words and holds the rum in his hand, turning it to examine it.

Sarenth is going to replace Mending with Detect Poison. He's gotten a couple of days worth of rest, so I figure it might be okay? If not, he'll wait to do this until tomorrow morning.

"She managed to sneak herself on board after me. Found herself a nice little hiding spot, built herself a nest, and apparently it was laying time. Who'd have thought?" Sarenth asks many questions about the faith, and in particular about practices and rituals, worship, temples, and how the priesthood of Besmara works with the faith, as opposed to the priesthoods of other faiths.

Does Durvin find Isabella after he speaks with Jape, or is that still yet to come?

Brillup's Got a Giiiiiirlfriend:
Rosy gives a startled exclamation, and throws her arms around the frog's neck, planting a completely exuberant kiss on his green cheek. Then she scoops up her fiddle to hug to her chest.

"Oh thank you, thank you!" She says happily. "I really needed this back. It was my mother's..."

Isabella's Rum:
I'm not sure if it counts as a poison, since its a drug. However, for the sake of RP...

The rum lights up. Nasty stuff, that.

Isabella & GM:
Okay. Thanks. I'm not entirely sure, either. It's a case I've never come across. I would think it counts, though, if it's addictive.

Sarenth looks up at Isabella. "Yeah. Definitely lighting up. I'd recommend either staying away from it, or watering it down and drinking it very slowly. I'll be doing the former, but I prefer different spirits. Around her, I want my head clear, too." He hands the remainder of the rum back.

D'aaawwwww:
IF frogs could blush Brillup would do so. He might actually be developing that talent right now. I just... It seemed like it bothered you so... You're welcome.

He lets the moment hang for a while. Letting her enjoy just having the violin back. You will play something for me at some point, won't you?

Rosy is already fishing her violin out of her case. She runs her fingers over the strings, and pets the wood of it lovingly. She draws the now over the strings gently, to tune it.

Sarenth spends most of the day running up and down the ship, dodging between busy crew members and around and over the various moving parts of the ship. As he goes, he tries to keep an eye out for things that Skipper can eat, and snags anything he can find.

By working diligently, Reck collects enough rats to keep Plugg off his back for the day. Reck proceeds to neatly skin and dress his little meat snack bundle, and heads to the galley to donate them to the stewpot.

Isabella spends most of her shift in contemplation. When the bloody hells are we actually going to dig up some treasure or go plundering a port or the like? This captain doesn't say somethin' of interest soon, everyone's going to tire of swabby work.

I was kind of waiting for a response from either Lexi or Isabella, on whether I found her. I guess this means I didn't?

Durvin just realized he found the part he likes the least about being a cook. He finds one of the pigs, and decides things will be easier if he gives it a nice day before it loses its life. First he coaxes it out with a few nice carrots, then he give a nice rub down, brushing it as best he can. Finally, with a rope, he leads it up on deck, and runs around with it a little. Once it gets tired he sits down with it by the side of the ship where the edge is open for sluiceing water. Once the animal has relaxed and fallen asleep, he says goodbye, and performs the deed. He is wiping his eyes and sniffling as he returns with the bled animal to Ambrose. "Hey, you mind if I take a breather real quick? The work took a bit out of me, emotionally." His normally high spirits gone, he wanders up top to reflect.

Survival, work diligently 1d20 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 2 + 4 = 21

By the time dinner rolls around, he adopts one of his practiced methods of getting rid of his rum to avoid having to drink it. He'll once again try to find Isabella.

Dump rum 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Isabella:
Only putting a spoiler, so that it stands out. The unspoilered text below is for you.

If he finds her this time
"So, how has your first few days gone? How'd you like last night's dinner, made it all by myself. I'm learning some new things, and making some friends. The cook says the ship is toxic and the Captain mean, but namely the first mate is someone that delights in treating others maliciously. I also have manged to make a little headway into the good graces of Jape, the half-orc amongst the bunch that came to harry us the other morning. Did you know he is mute? His tongue was cut out. How about you, are you making any new friends?" Durvin speaks kindly to her, as if he already easily considers her amongst one of his friends.

For those rolling to kick addiction, you are only addicted in the first place if you fail a DC 5 fort save. It says "attacks Fort with a -5" because in my game I use saves like 4E does defenses. So there it attacks the fort defense with a -5 on its attack roll (because it's a DC 5).

Sorry, I was gonna let Isabella respond, but I think you're right, she probably missed it. Poke poke Isabella! :)

Durvin totally finds Isabella today! :D

Going to let Reck talk to Sarenth and Durvin to Isabella, if you like, then I'll run the day's events. Just lmk if you want to move along; I'm in the US visiting some friends and stuff so I'm trying to let you guys run with things today.

Isabella jerks awake at the halfling's chatter. "I nodded off? bugger all..." She stretches a bit and rubs her head, trying to take in all his talk at once. "You need to slow down, mate. Head's still not quite right. I guess it could be worse though, just wish we got to do some actual pirating. Good to 'ear you're makin' new mates, but I wouldn't get too attached to any of em just yet till we know who's stayin' and who's gettin' cast off."

"Oh.."As she stands to return to work, she does turn back a moment. Dinner was refreshingly good, thanks. I've lived off worse fare, but whatever you did was a far cry from the halfhearted slop they had before. Nice work."

wordy little fish, ain't he? I wonder...

"Oy, I wonder..." She glances around to make sure no one's eavesdropping, then kneels down to get to eye level. "You been skippin' your rum ration? You don't look half as beat as me or some o' the others here."

Don't worry if I don't respond to a post in short order, my posting times have suddenly become a little erratic, along with the rest of my schedule. Life changes and all that.

It helps that I don't get noticed much as a halfling with a mostly human crew." He shrugs, "I just don't like the stuff. I enjoy the sea, and I don't want to drink to forget life on it."

On the way to Grok's, THIS happens!

Isabella will attempt to listen in to Jack's story.

Unfortunately, Jack's only description seems to be rather fanciful and exaggurated - it seems unlikely a shark or werebat is aboard. Plugg snorts and cuffs him on the side of the head, then hollers, "You! New folks! Front and center!" He waves the lot of them over.
