"I sure hope he receives Desna in his mind, and turns towards good from now on."
About Ruperta's new Planar Ally spell: How much are we willing to "spend" trying to get an outsider helping us? I have this idea to have an Azata coming to help us "free" the souls, which is VERY close to it's goals... but I am not sure it will work, and how much money spend on it....

If the items aren't usable by the party, I don't see any reason to hold anything back. Pai wants the staff, but nothing else. But I would like to buy a better Cloack of Protection, when we have a bit of downtime. Pai's crappy ST's are going to get me soon enough.

I had posted this from home but apparently it didn't work... I would suggest calling the Ally and then resting again while it does whatever you ask of it. That way we can be ready when we are done to do whatever comes from it. Who knows this room may be good since things may assume the dragon is still here.. As to the equipment I'd try to stick to the gold or the chainmail as the sword is over 30k we also have a +2 lance and a belt of giant str +2 if either of those things appeal to it.

I think we all are leveled. No idea how many souls left we have to free, but I am sure we will know as soon as we finish. So, we rest, in the morning Ruperta, with her new Domain Spell Planar Ally will try to "recruit" help for their mission.
Ruperta, after her merry prayers for Desna in the morning, ask for you to grant her 10 minutes while she tries to contact, and recruit, help from the heavenly kingdoms.
She takes 1,250 GP worth of the Dragon Treasure, and places it in the middle of the room, and she knells next to it.
"Powerful beings of light, freedom and good, hear my plea! In this times of dire need, of great danger and ancient evil awakened, we implore your help! Please help us free the trapped creatures from this place, set their souls free, and recover the weapon that will help us free Korvosa and her Queen from the evil clutches of the malignant Kazavon essence!"
So, how do we proceed from here? Her plea would "ring" with Azatas (her domain).

After a night spent huddled in the dragon's former lair, you awake slightly stiff come morning. Ruperta spends her time preparing a ritual and is rewarded when a creature with the body of a seductive, winged elven woman from the waist up and that of a snake from the waist down appears in front of her. The beautiful snake woman holds a harp and has a longsword strapped to her waist. Her voice is musical, ringing clear like a bell. "Peace, child of our Lady. I have heard your call and heeded your need. Pray tell me what you require."
Ruperta of Hetzau
"We require an ally on the trials ahead! Someone that can help us find the souls trapped here, and willing to release them! Someone willing to befriend us and take our quest as her own!"
Our Mysterious Benefactor
The lillend looks toward the kyton standing with Sial. "I cannot stay in such company. Our ends would be at odds." Asyra sneers back at the lillend, muttering something in a hissing tongue that causes the snake-woman to drop her harp, which vanishes and draw her sword.
Ruperta of Hetzau
"You would be helping us, not them, and I would assure you they won't interfere in our mission, or I would be the first one to make them regret it. But if you feel that is unacceptable, I regrettably would have to accept it, and thank you for hearing our plea, even if you can't help us."
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Sorry. Busy life.
The lillend's face softens as she looks from the kyton to Ruperta. "Alas, I cannot. Our Lady's will prevents me from being away for too long. If you should require a service, you may of course ask me. But I cannot spend too much time on this plane without specific command."
Our Mysterious Benefactor
The lillend smiles and closes her eyes, seeming to float as soft harp music fills the room. "There are three. Yes, three chained souls remain. An undead warrior, a she-devil and... oh my. You must beware the last most of all. I fear it is a demi-lich. It feeds on souls. Beware its power. All three must be destroyed or dismissed from this plane. It will not be an easy task. But there is something else, something pure still here. A weapon. Serithiel. It lies deep down, but it does not slumber alone. One guards it, a cursed soul." The lillend nearly collapses as the harp music ends with a discordant note. "The chained spirit has noticed my presence. It seeks to bind me as one of its souls. I must leave; I cannot stay or I risk becoming one of his thralls. Take this." She plucks a feather from her wings and hands it to Ruperta. "Burn it and I shall return. I cannot remain long, but I will come to you for 1 minute."
With a sudden sound of harps and the smell of roses, she vanishes.

Ruperta kneels and thanks the Azata, and puts the feather in her spell components pouch.
"Let's praise Desna for her help!"

"At this point I think we need to search every nook of this place, I would normally suggest from teh bottom up, but something lurking in the deep down is a little daunting... Maybe from the top down.."
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Demiliches are what happens when a lich grows particularly old. Their bodies crumbling, only the skull remains. However the remains are incredibly tough, virtually immune to magic, able to cast powerful spells and devour the souls of those unfortunate enough to encounter them. Souls thus devoured are imprisoned and nothing short of direct divine intervention can save them.

There are stairs and towers going up, as well as southern doors off the courtyard that have not been explored yet.
Our Mysterious Benefactor
Corbyn checks the doors, but no traps can be found. The room beyond is small. A few torn tapestry fragments hang from the walls in this otherwise empty room. Exploring this wing reveals nothing terribly dangerous, save a few weak skeletons, nearly decayed to nothing from their long years here. You pass through servants' quarters. Their chambers served them as barracks, kitchens, and latrines. Dusty, sagging bunks and broken furniture are all that remains in these chambers.
You pass through guest quarters, find stairs going upwards, and discover torture chambers seemingly placed right next to the guest rooms. Finally you emerge in a room far toward the southern end of the wing. This area appears to have been a parlor of some sort, set at the intersection of a hall and an entryway marked by a pair of elaborate mahogany double doors. A pair of sagging, velvet covered divans sit against the walls beneath a thick layer of dust. Standing against the western wall is a marble statue of a man clad in elegant nobles’ robes, though his head is hidden beneath a rough leather sack.
Pai Kromnite
As usual, Pai keeps Detect Magic active while the group is exploring. "Why would there be a sack over the head of a handsome statue? Doesn't make sense...unless," Pai wonders.
DM, does the statue move any...could it be a medusa or soemthing?
