Just waiting to see if DaWay is ready to join us before we set out down the road.

Thanks to all of you! The really great role play, establishing the party right from the start is a good sign

I have a suggestion, it is only a suggestion, but what do all of you think of splitting the party up once you reach the castle, you know, like half of you take the right and half of you take the left.
Do you think that is workable? Then if there is an encounter, one group can shout for help (or not) and we won't necessarily have to wait on none players to post for each encounter.

Male Half-Elf/Alodoan Rogue level 1 AC:15| HP10/10| Darkvision 60ft | Passive Perception 2 | str+1, *dex+4 , con+2, *int+4, wis+2, cha+2

sounds nice.

Fine for me either way :-)

We do have a large amount of players so if splitting the party helps keep combat from getting trivialized, I'm okay with that. I'm also okay sticking together. I'm not sure how you have encounters structured so whatever works best.

GM, you do whichever method you think will make this work the best. You know your capabilities better than I do. :)

A halfling size wagon?
Now I'm picturing two children in a red radio flyer wagon.

Couple of quick notes to let you know what I am up to

I just compiled a master list of everyone's trait, ideal, bond, and flaw

I will now go back through the thread and award Inspiration where I see that you have tried to role play those things

I'll post the awards in the form of a quote of one of your posts, so until I finish this, please wait to make any new game posts, so all the awards stay together in one place, thank you

Mitak has respectfully withdrawn from the adventure leaving us with these characters.

Quick reminder of the new 5e rules

There isn’t anything in these rules that equates to the take 10 or take 20 rules of Pathfinder. What these rules do have are things called Passive Ability (Skill) Scores. A Passive Score assumes you are doing something with the average results figured in instead of a die roll. This is 10+ all modifiers. If you have advantage on a Passive Check, add +5, and if you have disadvantage apply a -5 modifier to the score

Female Iarishean/Wood Elf Monk 2 | AC 15 | HP 15/15 | Darkvision 60 ft. | PP 14 | S +3, D +5, C +1, I -1, W +2, C +0 | Insp: [ ]

Terquem, is seems we are just about ready to finally enter the castle. Did you decide if you'd prefer the party to stick together or to split into two teams? Again, I'm okay with either decision. If we are going to split the team up, we should figure out who is going with who.

Shadow's Status | Alodoan/Human Fighter 5 | AC 14 | HP 14/49| Vision | PP +3 | S=+6* | D=+1 | C=+4* | I=+ 2 | W=+ 0 | C =+2

Victor in one group and everyone else in another :-)

You can't go alone. Take the donkey with you. =)

male

Well, it wasn't going to be my decision, I was just letting you all know that if you wanted to do that, I think I would try to manage it.

Shadow's Status

Don't split the Party! Did Order of the Stick teach us nothing? :-)

Female Iarishean/Wood Elf Monk 2 | AC 15 | HP 15/15 | Darkvision 60 ft. | PP 14 | S +3, D +5, C +1, I -1, W +2, C +0 | Insp: [ ]

Okay!

male

This was placed in the recruitment thread, but some of you may have missed it. I am posting it here (should have done it sooner) and reposting it in the Campaign Info Tab for reference

As to formatting conventions, I’d like to make the following suggestions

Enter your Race, and Land of Origin in the Race box of your alias as this

Example: “Human/Alodoan”

In the Class/Levels box enter your Class/Level and then this information; AC | HP | Vision (range)| Passive Perception (you can enter it as PP=x) | and then saves in this format

S=x D=x C=x I=x W=x Ch=x (where x= the + or – modifier)

If you have “Advantage” on certain saves, just put an “*” after the save modifier, and make sure to mention the condition in your alias description

male

please note the link at the top of the page (below the campaign description) that reads

The Map

for a crude map of the area you are exploring right now, only I forgot to include the cart, but at least I remembered the Donkey!

Male Half-Elf/Alodoan Rogue level 1 AC:15| HP10/10| Darkvision 60ft | Passive Perception 2 | str+1, *dex+4 , con+2, *int+4, wis+2, cha+2

Thank you, now I can understand fully where is everybody geographically

male

Ayita - I just saw a news post that states there will be a change to how the Monk Unarmed Attacks are defined, so I just want you to know that for this game we should stick to what is printed in the current Player's handbook, unless you think there is a real need to update to the new errata

Female Iarishean/Wood Elf Monk 2 | AC 15 | HP 15/15 | Darkvision 60 ft. | PP 14 | S +3, D +5, C +1, I -1, W +2, C +0 | Insp: [ ]

I only have the player's handbook, DMG, and monster manuel. I wasn't aware of any errata. I'd prefer to stick with what's in my current player's handbook as well.

male

The map is updated, The room beyond Magnus is cluttered with overturned furniture, but it is difficult to make out what all the furniture might be, in the Dim Light.

Remember, that if you look into the room, looking for hidden Goblins, your Perception Checks are made with Disadvantage (unless you have Darkvision)

male

I am having a bad day (bad couple of days) but I will update the game tomorrow

Female Iarishean/Wood Elf Monk 2 | AC 15 | HP 15/15 | Darkvision 60 ft. | PP 14 | S +3, D +5, C +1, I -1, W +2, C +0 | Insp: [ ]

I hope everything is okay.

male

Oh, well, yes everything is fine, but I got into a little trouble at work for standing up to the wrong manager, it all blew over, nothing bad happened, but it was a tense couple of days and I was shaken up by it a lot (which is weird to say when you are 51 years old).

But there is going to be a battle, with some hidden goblins, and I will try to see if we can pull it off without too many hic ups with this large group, so, good luck to everyone, the game post with the goblin attack is coming soon.

Shadow's Status

I am buried under a significant amount of work for Friday and on Friday night I will be running my table top Forgotten Realms game. Saturday I have a number of errands to run. Please DMPC me as needed until this Saturday evening. Thank you.

DM based on Ayita's description, does it seem feasible to climb to the roof, jump down on the roof of the room where the Goblins are and somehow get down to come at them behind or is there just not enough information to make that assumption right now?

male

Based on Ayita's description, you would not think there was a way down into that large room from above.

male

Also, sorry about the strange post from one of my alias accounts, was at the hospital last night and tried to post using the wayfinder app, and everything went wrong.

My wife went to the ER, not a big scare, but still had to be there for a few hours last night. I'll try to update soon

Does the door in the northeast corner look like it leads outside to the courtyard? If so, we can flank that way if that's something we want to try.

male

Once you are in the room, yes, you see day light coming through cracks in that door,m a shout to the others about its location could get someone in from that direction, unless the door is stuck, or held shut in some way.

Female Iarishean/Wood Elf Monk 2 | AC 15 | HP 15/15 | Darkvision 60 ft. | PP 14 | S +3, D +5, C +1, I -1, W +2, C +0 | Insp: [ ]

If you are confused about your location, there is a map link at the top of the page labeled "The Map". I'm pretty sure someone killed the red goblin but there are still like 5 more.

LOL. I said I kicked the goblin in the face. Terquem changed it to groin. He chose to make his poor goblin suffer.

Maybe his groin and face are really close

male

Lijan - yes, editing a game post either after posting or while previewing, will not alter the die rolls, but previewing your attack roll will tell you if you hit (or score a critical) or miss, most of the time, then you can edit what you write to describe the post, or add additional damage dice in the case of a critical

Are we meant to be able to move our own tokens on the map?

male

Well, unfortunately no, I've never been able to figure out how to share the map that way - even though that is supposed to be one of the features of the software (I am using MApTools, but only to create the maps)

Maybe this weekend I;ll force myself to figure out how to make that an option
