Cap'n Voodoo |

The hulking figure currently bent over the corpse, straightens up and looks around the moonlit dock. "Who talk?" The caretaker asks peering closely at the spot where the voice seemed to come. He takes a couple shuffling steps forward squinting at the boards. "You tiny?"

Corliss Blackboots |

Corliss tries to sneak up to the open doorway but stops and steps to one side when he realizes he can't see much of anything in the dark chamber beyond.
Stealth Check: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
I have this really regrettable mental block about taking 10....

"Keelhaul" Kaul |

Kaul clocks the door and hopes that at least one of his shipmates is with him.
He hisses a low whisper to anyone near;
"Door otherside o' the room. Wait 'ere while I opens it up."
The invisible thug (great name for a band btw) creeps toward the portal...
Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Cutting through the fetid stink you hear Kaul's hacksaw whisper;
"Door otherside o' the room. Wait 'ere while I opens it up."

Dibbets |

Now fully committed to the ruse... Dibbets starts to see the flaws inherent in his planning. Bugger me, how tha feck does I gets past him an in mesel... and how does I tells iffin tha lads are safe an in...
Cap'n - with respect to the current layout. Is there a way for Dibbs to lead half-ogrish into an alley without a sight line back to the entrance? - or alternatively to the edge of a pier / wharf?

James "Madman Jim" Patterson |

While the half-ogre is distracted, Jim heads into the darkness, drawing his sword as he advances.
Stealth check, base: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
The Taldan manages to keep from running into anyone else in the party.

Dibbets |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Muttering "Blathering barnacles... should'a used me brain afore me mouth..." Dibbs takes a breath and decides to go whole hog. Summoning all the bullsh1tery and bluster he can manage he puts desperate note to voice, crying "Oh no... they've got me... Help! They're dragging me away... save me... please friend!" attempting to cast his voice such that it proceeds along the dock and into the city proper...

Cap'n Voodoo |

Jim slips into the building as Dibbets goes for the long shot. The ogreish oaf stands to his full height again and frowns deeply as he begins to suspect shenanigans. "Got no friends," he mumbles turning back to the body on the plate and in a single motion heaving it up and over his shoulder as easily as his dolly.

Dibbets |

Concerned now with the welfare of the others, Dibbets seeks to have the biggun stay outside with him a wee while longer. Shaking his head at the foolishness he conjures a tad bit of the Sky Lord's indifference, and conjures some saltwater to splash all over the half-ogre's noggin. He punctuates the dousing with a "Hey - don't ye be turning away frae me now! Ye... ye... wet blanket ye"
Assume casting create water is suitably interactive-y to dispel the invisibility effect?
It's 12 gallons of water - or 120 lb of drench splooshing down on him.

Dibbets |

Channelling his inner Kaul-wrangling appeal to nuggety wisdom, Dibbets protrudes his bottom lip and fires back "What I do? What I do? What you do? I try and play, have fun, be friend... you no believe me." putting on his best hurt and sad expression before crossing his arms and turning away "Fine... I keep present, you go play with dead men.... bad friend!" punctuating the accusation with a turn of the head and blown raspberry.
Keeping his eyes from laying on the half-ogre, Dibbs hopes at least the big bugger's curiosity will see him continue to engage... or at least he'll feel the heavy footfalls as the bugger comes to crush his noggin to paste.

"Keelhaul" Kaul |

Skipper - What does Kaul discover at the door? Its status regards locked/open/whatnot will likely sway my course o' action.

"Keelhaul" Kaul |

Inside Kaul mugs a grin as he tries, then opens the door.
However rather than entering through the portal, the invisible thug slips his sap into a paw;
"Through ye go lads. I'll 'ang back an put ugly to sleep..."

Dingus Mack |

Dingus almost forgets he's supposed to be quiet and almost claps and laughs at Dibbs joke... but instead decides to add to the fun.
"Slippy, slippy slidey".
Cast Grease underneath the thugs feet, trying to not capture his little friend in the area. DC 15 Save.

Cap'n Voodoo |

Keelhaul Kaul- 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Madman Jim- 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Corliss-1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Dingus- 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19
foe- 1d20 ⇒ 9

Dibbets |

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13 - to dodge any AoO or the like, Dibbets is going to try and make the edge of the pier, then swing underneath - looking to keep the biggun busy outside with a commotion.
...aiming to get himself out of clear clubbin' range before he opens his mouth again.

Cap'n Voodoo |

Corliss Blackboots |

The Besmara hesitates when he hears potential trouble back outside. Fearing how the diminutive and peg-legged halfling might fare in a battle with a half-ogre, Corliss creeps back to the entrance (taking 10 on Stealth this time for a base 17) to see what's transpiring outside.

"Keelhaul" Kaul |

@All: Remember while Invisible you get +20 bonus to Stealth checks (Moving) & +40 if remaining static.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
As he hears movement heading back toward where Dibbs' continues to create a ruckus, the thug scowls, pauses, then follows suit;
"Fir fecks sake. Why don't nuthin' every play out as Ol' Kauly plans it..."
Stealth (Moving 25ft - Invisible): 1d20 + 11 - 5 + 20 ⇒ (14) + 11 - 5 + 20 = 40
He closes the gap toward the hulking ogre-kin, sap readied...

Cap'n Voodoo |

Corliss Blackboots |

Corliss will delay, either until the deaders near Jim come into his sight (I'm assuming he's currently unaware of them) or until after Kaul takes a swing at the ogrekin.

Cap'n Voodoo |

Alright, holiday over. Moving along.
all but Dingus up.

"Keelhaul" Kaul |

[spoiler=Outside]
As the bigger 'un hits the water and starts splashing Kaul frowns;
"Was plannin' on knockin' 'im out cold... not drownin' the ugly bugger!"
The thug leans o'er shouting advice;
"Hur. Quit splashin' ye'll bring the sharkies or other biters around! Float big-un! Deep breath an' float!"
He mutters an aside to any of his other shipmates within earshot;
"5 Gold says he's eaten afore he sinks..."

Cap'n Voodoo |

The ogrekin does not seem to be in the necessary receptive state to hear Kaul's instructions and he bobs under once, erupting again momentarily as his deformed arm ineffectively beats the waters surface.
I got Corliss, Dibbets, and Kaul (Corliss and Kaul are invisible) still able to take an action this round if they like.
Jim may also act this round

Corliss Blackboots |

"Two more incomin'," Corliss whispers, not exactly certain who's where any more. The Besmaran moves back outside where he might get a better look at the new arrivals.
Stealth Check (invisible): 1d20 + 7 + 20 ⇒ (10) + 7 + 20 = 37

James "Madman Jim" Patterson |

With two of the three likely deaders out of the way, Jim makes his way back into the building towards the remaining false Guard.
As I recall, Storm-Eye's sword sheds a little light when charged up. He's not doing so yet, in any case.

Cap'n Voodoo |

Outside, the half-ogre sinks and lunges up again spluttering and coughing. A pair of hooded figures bearing the armband and club of the Watch step out of the dark doorway into the moonlight. Their attention turns to the only visible figure, the skinny sorcerer. One raises his club toward Dingus and in a thick gurgling voice demands, "Hey, what are you doing?"
Everyone up.

Dingus Mack |

"That big creature fell in the water. Better fetch him out before he sinks to the bottom".
The scrawny sorcerer points to the area where the ogre went over, remembering to remove the grease condition before they walk over.
1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22 Bluff

Cap'n Voodoo |

Dibbets casts a spell and tags the frenzied ogrekin just before he sinks the last time. Down below, Dibbets can see his eyes bulge in surprise and mouth gape open and closed as the big loaf finds himself alive and breathing while sinking to the base of the pylons in the dark water below.
The hooded figures exchange a glance and then move over to the edge of the pier to look down at the now still water.

"Keelhaul" Kaul |

Kaul signs to himself and follows his wee mate into the drink;
Drop into the water and activate Shark Totem power (Swim 30ft)
