Johan Hale |

And Johan (and I think Sid too?) are pretty much out of gas spell/ability - wise. Taking some boggards on a guided tour of our new home seems safe enough - fill in any holes from Abraxus' scouting.

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

Ok, then perhaps Agrippa goes looking.

DM Aku |

No worries Sidious.
Hope things get better son.
==//==
I'll not be able to update it today, only tomorrow.
Please, take this time to talk among yourself, and known each other better, or at least ask the dwarf some questions, since, he is to be tested and as usual, the cardinal gave nothing about him.

Wodin Earthbreaker |

A preemptive strike: Wodin will gladly answer any questions you have of him, because while he's a jerk, it's in his best interests to get along with you guys. Can't win a war by yourself and all that. :)

ELDRED CROFTER |

Next day Talks to Toads wants to talk to talk to the shaman about this place tomorrow and find out what they know about here.

DM Aku |

@Agrippa
Since you want to go off exploring.
Where are you going first? And in which circumstances will you retreat?
Also, each room has it's description, what will you interact with? (Check the descriptions at the caver map)
Also, how you plan on communicating with the tribe? The shaman returned to the temple, and one of the frogman understand common.

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

Mostly just using his spells of invisibility to check out as many rooms as he can, casting detect magic as necessary. Agrippa will only go as far as his invisibility will take him. As for speaking to the Boggards, he has the helm so he can understand them, he was just hoping they would show him around and he could gesture to them if he needed to. Retreat? If he notices anything out of the ordinary or remotely dangerous he will bail out as fast as possible, Agrippa is no hero.

Wodin Earthbreaker |

Should probably check out some of those secret passages. The open chest is probably some kind of trap (or at the very least, Wodin won't trust it as far as he can throw it!).

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

Agrippa is thankful that he has his Knot, without which he might actually have to fight things.

Johan Hale |

Johan is thankful for his pet wizard, without whom he might actually have to think for himself.
:>

Johan Hale |

I reread the description of the path we took up to our current location. We did go up just one level right?

DM Aku |

I don't think so.
I may have understood it wrong, but it seemed to me you guys wanted to explore the upper levels before the lower ones.
That you were able to understand, there’s until now, the lower cavers, and then three more levels, that the secret stairway passes through. You are currently on the last, the third level.

ELDRED CROFTER |

We can always go down whenever we want - we can call this a quick recon and then work up properly.

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

No, but they attacked us first so...Also Agrippa wants to demonstrate his power to them, they did call him weak.

Johan Hale |

Ha, just realized Johan attacked through a solid wall last turn. Oops! maybe that's why he missed!

DM Aku |

They nearly killed Wodin outright, that's generally not going to get a response of "lol let's talk this over".
Yup, those were they orders:
Kill anyone not related to the cult or anything like that.==//==
Think about it for a moment:
They are strong, smart; it had a huge change that they would drop you in that combat.
However, I don't think you guys fully understood what this module is about:
You'll be stuck at this place for 222 days to complete the ritual.
What means: You'll be the masters of the dungeon.
And what does a dungeon does? Attract adventures!
Hexor and Vexor are your final guardians, and thus, they are rather strong.
EDIT:
I've added their statistics in the campaign information tab.

ELDRED CROFTER |

Nope - Agrippa. Eldred knows just enough to NOT want to talk to Daemons.

ELDRED CROFTER |

Nah - bugger of a day for me that may bleed into the weekend. I should be back to norm by Monday.

ELDRED CROFTER |

I've never played quartermaster before. It is something I am enjoying along with being that party face/fixer.
Eldred has a superior intellect compared to most and is pretty level headed too.
Oh, thought - we should grab that crystal ball! If we're gonna be 222 days here? We can use that for magical sweeps and patrols.

DM Aku |

Johan had posted about it earlier. We need to get a move on we've been stalled for almost a week.
Johan's post was to climb into the sanctum.
I used the daemons to remember that you were injured, and that there's a monster there.Eldred suggested you explore the lower levels.
I'm waiting a decision; :)

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

Enough of this standing around, we have a Daemon to summon. And a Horn to claim. Agrippa says as he moves to the stairs on the other side of the room and begins to descend.

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

Well then I guess we will wait another week.

DM Aku |

@Agrippa
I know a fast paced game is more enjoyable.
The weekend I was checking my pages to posting about each 30 minutes!
But end of the year is a hard time for most. All my games have significantly slowed the posting rate.
Anyway, I'm not discriminating your action, I'm just giving the others time to interact with Agrippa. :)

Wodin Earthbreaker |

Wodin's still pretty significantly against the idea of charging ahead to an even more dangerous foe when he's already gotten the stuffing beaten out of him quite a bit in the last two days (and is not the only one!).
While Agrippa has been spending most of his time invisible and cowering (which I should mention, I am not blaming you for, because it's part of the character) the rest of us have been getting knocked around and we're not anywhere near full strength. Unless Agrippa intends to pull something out of his hat that he's been saving for a rainy day that can't wait a couple days, there is no good reason to forge ahead when we're low on resources and long on time. We have to spend the good majority of a year in this place. We can afford to take it slow in clearing the place out and starting the ritual. Talingarde, no matter how much our characters hate the place, will still be there in a year, just waiting for the plague.

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

Low on resources? We have had one encounter....one. Agrippa has used four spells...Use a LoH and lets get this PbP going at a decent clip. We have spent 13 days on this single encounter.
13 days...one encounter.

Wodin Earthbreaker |

Going to have to quote myself on this: "Patience."
For the record, Wodin doesn't have LoH, because he's an Antipaladin. Trust me, he'd be using it if the option was there. But considering how quickly we burn through Sidious' channels and the kind of beatings we've been taking, I think going into what is probably the "last boss" of this particular place at anything less than our absolute best is pretty much tantamount to suicide. I doubt you'd disagree if your character was the one getting crit in the face at least once or twice per combat.
There is the entire rest of the place to check out, and is likely far less dangerous. Wodin and I aren't saying "let's go hide with the boggards for a week" but rather "let's not charge ahead recklessly."

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa |

And I'm saying, we need to push the action of the PbP forward. IE make a post doing something, that is why I made the post going down, which I believe is the opposite direction of where the "bad guy" is located.
13 days on one encounter is the mark of a stalled game. I'm enjoying this game and I'd like to see it continue and flourish.

Father Sidious |

I am in agreement that we should do something. But resting to heal up is sometime. If we are going to do it lets decide and do it quickly so we can move on. For the record Sidous is in favor of handling the basement first as well. He has channeled twice so can channel more if we are going on today. And he will.
I believe we have chosen Johan our leader. I for one am ready to follow him on what we do next.
