Background:
For the last twenty years, Wodin has been something of a small-time celebrity in the pubs and dives of Diamond Lake. Though stensibly a miner, no one can recall seeing the dwarf working a day in his life. Instead, he is known to spend his mornings training with his unfamiliar polearm and his oddly un-dwarven fighting style, and his evenings trawling through bars, telling stories and generally enjoying himself. Far from unliked, the dwarf is surprisingly well-accepted by most folk, as he always has a story to tell.

There are those who whisper that Wodin is living in exile, tossed out from his mountainhome for some reason or another. The dwarf himself has neither confirmed nor denied the claims, and continues to live contentedly and peacefully a mere stone's throw from the city of Greyhawk.

Having heard of adventurers telling tales of their own, Wodin's interest is thoroughly piqued. For what purpose could they be investigating the Stirgenest Cairn? Would they find something that the youth of Diamond Lake hadn't? Overwhelmed by the curiosity burning in his breast, Earthbreaker seems a bit distant as he sips at the mug set before him. Without his usual vim and vigor, his fellow patrons can palpably feel something is off. Little do any of them know that change is right around the corner...

Personality and Appearance:
Wodin is a strong, stout dwarven man. With a thick beard, bright eyes and a friendly personality, it's hard to imagine him as a member of the same race of grumpy, stuck-in-their-ways dwarves as most of his kin. Forgoing traditional dwarven weapons and armor, Earthbreaker is a strange but highly affable fellow.

With his armor consisting of only an ornate breastplate and spiked manica, the dwarf seems to be more concerned with mobility than sheer protection. Wearing a light adventurer's outfit of leather, fur and hide under his armor, Wodin comes off as a simple but utilitarian man. His primary arm is an odd, old-style polearm designed to deliver powerful hacking blows, and Earthbreaker wields it with great skill.

And of that skill, Wodin is very proud. Managing to be prideful but not overbearing, he regales his companions with tales of battles won and enemies felled. But, in everything, he seeks to do what is best for his companions, even the dwarves who cast him out.
