Jeremiah "Mad Prophet" Racek |

Is there anything special needed to cast from the scroll? Or is Jeremiah able to cast the spell?

Creeden Nash |

"There's much to learn here, and I think it would send a message that we are not to be trifled with."
I vote for cleaning up the tower.

Lysandar |

Lysandar considers Creeden’s remarks and replies, ”Yes, this is a great opportunity to bolster our reputation.” He excitedly continues, ”The bards will sing of it I’m sure!”
Fine with staying to clean up

Jeremiah "Mad Prophet" Racek |

"I agree with cleaning up the tower, but I will also prepare the spell to consecrate it to its righteous goddess anyway. It won't hurt, I guess. Let's just stay vigilant, we do not know if the werewolves managed to deal with Auren Vrood. He might ambush us."

Ortensia Obsidia Deepheavy |

Ortensia tsked, placing hands on her hips. What needs to be done?
She resigned herself to the task of tidying up the place. As an afterthought, she examined the canopic jar before smashing it to pieces and stamping on what remaining. With a gesture, she telekinetically discarded the pieces into an old barrel.

Eleric Wrenn |

"I know. Magical artifacts are a specialty of mine. I reluctantly admit you are right to destroy it. Anyone who would pay for it would do awful things with it, but what I could have done with that money."
Are the Canopic Jar and Canoptic Stone the same thing or different? They seem to have similar purposes.

Daniel Penfold 357 |
@Eleric - yeah the canopic stone and jar are the same
You spend the day cleaning and reconsecrating the temple. Jeremiah finishes the ceremony by casting the communion ritual scroll. The Dusk Moth activates. A faint radiance emanates from the menhirs atop the temple. You all fall into a heightened dream trance. You appear to be communing directly with Desna.
The goddess thanks you for restoring and cleansing her temple and shows you visions of the future. You see yourselves:
1)Facing a black-robed necromancer wearing a bone breastplate as he stands before a ruined tower.
2)Fighting a terrifying tentacled monster deep beneath the sea
3) Confronting a beautiful female vampire spellcaster in an underground chamber
4)Battling a decaying lich, blazing with arcane power, atop a high spire beneath dark, churning clouds.
When the hour is up you feel renewed (heal up to full and you gain Desna's blessing- you can have a +1 inherent bonus to either Wisdom or Charisma)

Lysandar |

Lysandar basks in the renewal offered by his communion with Desna. In spite of the disturbing visions of his future he finds it hard to worry about those future events. Still a glow from his encounter with a goddess he states, "That was magnificent ...." He stops and just smiles at a loss for words.
Took bonus to charisma

Creeden Nash |

"How odd. I will need to reflect on this."
Creeden will take the +1 to Wisdom.

The new werewolf leader, Cyriss returns that morning.
Members of my pack have found some information for you. The Whispering Way have gone to the town of Feldgrau, led by a necromancer called Auren Vrood. They are looking for something in the town but we have not been able to find out what. They are accompanied by a breakaway group of werewolves who do not submit to our laws. They call themselves the Jezeldans who worship demons.

Jeremiah "Mad Prophet" Racek |

Jeremiah deeply reflects on his visions. For once, he did not see death and destruction, but he saw himself fighting for a greater scope. Suddenly, he understood what had to be done.
That lich was indeed the final step of his journey. He now was sure he was the key to reach his god's favor, he knew that by honoring that duty his visions would end.
He felt determined to move on, but he knew the path was long, but he was no longer alone.
"What we witnessed today is the gods' call. Fate spins and plays with us, but we have a chance to undo this madness. Friends, we need to fulfill this prophecy that the Dreamer gifted to us. Let us find and finish Vrood, he is the key to moving forward."
Taking +1 wisdom. Eleric :(

Eleric Wrenn |

Eleric runs his hands through his long greasy hair and takes a long deep breath.
"Well s%*#, I guess this job just became a mission from God. I have never been given a retainer by an all powerful deity before. I honestly was not sure how long my services were going to be required but I guess I'm in this for the long hall."
This a perfect event to help commit a newly formed group of adventures to a party. That worked out really well story wise.

Lysandar |

Lysandar nods his head in agreement with Eleric's remarks but can't help but think, what have we gotten ourselves in to.
Timing was perfect.

You head towards Feldgrua which is about 6 days travel away. As you get near the town you see the silhouette of a lone farmhouse standing against the stark grey sky. The house leans uneasily, its weathered planks straining to keep the fragile shell of peeling paint and cracked shingles upright. The bodies of four wolf-like humanoids hang from a large tree in the farm's yard

Creeden Nash |

"Are you talking to a tree, Eleric? Ask it what happened to these werewolves!"

Jeremiah "Mad Prophet" Racek |

Jeremiah looks around, outside of the house, while waiting for Eleric to look for traps. He also detects magic around.
"Weird nobody's here. Could they be hiding in shadows to ambush us?"

this is a bardic performance I’m not sure if it provokes an attack of opportunity

Jeremiah "Mad Prophet" Racek |

Jeremiah calls for power. His hand becomes dark as the void itself. "Join me in my madness." Then moves while laughing with a dark grin.
Jeremiah uses Madness Domain's Vision of Madness, then runs towards the tree to touch it.
You can give a creature a vision of madness as a melee touch attack. Choose one of the following: attack rolls, saving throws, or skill checks. The target receives a bonus to the chosen rolls equal to ½ your cleric level (minimum +1) and a penalty to the other two types of rolls equal to ½ your cleric level (minimum –1). This effect fades after 3 rounds. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
Vision of Madness Touch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25

Creeden Nash |

Even Creeden assumes that punching a "tree" might be a bad idea. He pulls out his waveblade as he approaches the tree.

Daniel Penfold 357 |
Eleric and Jeremiah can you make spell penetration rolls please.
Lysander's song strikes the tree damaging it.
Creeden your blow misses.
