Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

I must be doing something wrong. Nobody ever catches fire. That's no fun at all.

another immolation - damage 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4) = 7 fort DC 15 for half damage

Spontaneous Immolation (100 ft. + 10 ft./level, one creature, Fortitude half and Reflex)
You point your finger at a creature, causing it to spontaneously burst into flame. The target takes 3d6 points of fire damage and catches on fire. A successful Fortitude save reduces this damage by half and prevents the target from catching on fire. Each round on your turn, a burning target can attempt a new save to extinguish the flames (DC equal to the DC of the spell); otherwise it takes another 1d6 fire damage.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Ralf punches the man in the face, while Ralf goes for the inside of his head and Gelik tries to set him on fire. Badly wounded he lets out a scream, casts Shield on himself (this time successfully) and flies straight up, provoking AoOs from Torch and Ralf.

Then you are up again.

Female Human Fighter (Mobile) 5 HP:43/54 AC19/T13/FF16 (AC23vsAoO) Condition:

Just let me know when Aerys stops running and quivering and can reenter the fray.

male human oracle 5 (lore mystery, stargazer archetype, words of power)

AoO: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 111d6 ⇒ 6

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

AoO 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17, damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9 plus 2d6 ⇒ (5, 1) = 6 sneak.

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

Gelik nails the man with a Color Spray as soon as he clears melee.

Color Spray (DC 15, School - illusion (pattern) [mind-affecting]; Range 15 ft. cone-shaped burst, Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes
2 HD or less: The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)
3 or 4 HD: The creature is blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, then stunned for 1 round.
5 or more HD: The creature is stunned for 1 round.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

The wizard's magic fends off Torch's and Ralf's AoOs, but Gelik's magic catches him offguard. He is stunned for the moment.

Torch and Ralf still to go, Aerys still being frightened. Since he's stunned, after that you can hit him again. He's hovering some 30 feet above you.

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

As soon as the man is no longer stunned, Gelik will hit him with another Color Spray (DC 15).

male human oracle 5 (lore mystery, stargazer archetype, words of power)

Ralf will use another Brain Drain on the guy.

5d4 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 2, 1) = 7, Will DC 17 negates.

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Torch drops his scimitar and grabs for his bow, firing a pair of arrows at the necromancer.

First shot gets sneak attack, I believe, since he's stunned - I think he's technically not stunned as soon as he finishes his turn, though, so I don't think the second one gets it. With those assumptions in mind...

First arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9, damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 plus 2d6 ⇒ (4, 1) = 5 sneak.
Second arrow: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22, damage 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

The man drops his spear as he is stunned by Gelik's magic, and Torch's arrow lodges in his throat, knocking him out and ending his flight. He slowly drifts to the ground, unconscious.

And you get 800 xp each for the battle.

Ralf:
Sifting through his thoughts, you learn that his name is Jigeke and he was exiled for practising black magic. He came here to loot the tomb of the local hero Amghawe, especially seeking his spear and war mask. He took control of its zombie guardian and then you appeared, just as he was about to leave.

He's carrying a magic spear and the mask which is also obviously magic, a magic amulet and 250 gp worth of onyxes, as well as a mundane dagger and a spellbook.

male human oracle 5 (lore mystery, stargazer archetype, words of power)

"Hm. Seems this gent's name was Jigeke and he was practicing black magic. He was looking to get a spear and war mask from Amghawe's tomb, and it looks like he found 'em."

Ralf tries to identify the spear, mask and amulet.

Take 10 on Spellcraft using Focused Trance 3 times for a check result of 39

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

His name should have been Jerke, am I right?

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Torch frowns down at the bodies. "If there's a local tribe watching over this tomb, they might appreciate it if we put them back," he muses. "Although it would be interesting to examine the tomb, maybe take some notes for future study..."

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

The spear is +1 and the amulet is of natural armor +1. The mask is more interesting: it grants you a +2 bonus to Intimidate checks and a +1 deflection bonus to AC and allows you to cast Scare once a day at CL 9.

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

Gelik's eyes go wide when he sees the mask. I'm always up for a bit of tomb exploration. But I strongly advise that I...we keep the mask. It's superb.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

I suppose you'll keep the mask and the spear and move on?

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

I thought we were investigating the tomb. Torch first, of course.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

The tomb contains nothing except the remains of the local hero. Will you be moving on?

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

Sure! We're gonna win this thing!

Hmm. Dead guy. He won't need this old mask anymore. Having neatly justified his tomb-robbing, Gelik is ready to proceed. More traipsing along the river, I presume?

Female Human Fighter (Mobile) 5 HP:43/54 AC19/T13/FF16 (AC23vsAoO) Condition:

After the man fell from the sky, Aerys gingerly returns to the group. "Umm... Got caught short, can't concentrate on a fight when ... well you know ... woman's problems." she says with a voice that still trembles slightly. She looks at the mask that Gelik seems to be studying gleefully, and a cold shudder runs down her back. She doesn't follow Gelik into the tomb, fearful that the mask will bring back to life the terror that struck her when she first saw the mask.

"Torch, these are mighty fine short bows, how do they feel for you in your hands?" she asks placing the bow in his hand and giving him an an ordinary arrow to use. "try and hit that melon fruit over there on that tree." she encourages him to try it. She takes another of the bows and fires an arrow at a nearby tree, watching fly straight and true, as it strikes the tree with greater force than her usual bow. "See Torch how it strikes harder than usual. I shall take one and use it, a good find!"

Composite Shortbow +2 Attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17 damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Torch shrugs. "My bow's got a stronger pull than that already," he murmurs. He also looks uncomfortable with the mask and spear, although not for the same reason as Aerys.

Think we're ready to move along.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

You continue on your journey, somewhat awkwardly during such times as Gelik insists on wearing the mask, and after seven more days you finally reach the edge of the jungle.

But as you bed down for the night and during the first watch you hear a strangely entrancing tinkling sound coming from the jungle. Everyone except Ralf needs to make a Will 14 save or be compelled to seek out the source of the tinkling.

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Will save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6, +3 more if it's a compulsion (which it sounds like it is).

male human oracle 5 (lore mystery, stargazer archetype, words of power)

It pays to be deaf sometimes.

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

will 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

Such...entrancing...tinkling.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

It is indeed a compulsion effect.

Torch and Gelik stumble blissfully into the jungle, while Ralf has a choice whether to follow or not and Aerys still needs to make a save.

Female Human Fighter (Mobile) 5 HP:43/54 AC19/T13/FF16 (AC23vsAoO) Condition:

Will 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (14) + 0 = 14

Aerys hears the noise which almost takes her in search of the sound. Shaking her head, she is just able to stop herself from following Gelik and Torch. She calls out after Gelik, "Gelik, wait what are you doing." She motions towards Ralf to follow the others at a distance, as she puts on her armour and readies for trouble, by following the others into the jungle.

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Torch walks slowly into the jungle, completely lost in the sound.

male human oracle 5 (lore mystery, stargazer archetype, words of power)

Ralf will cast Alignment Shield on Gelik to give him a second chance at saving.

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

Must...find...tinkling.Gelik answers Aerys matter-of-factly as he wanders toward the sound. You wouldn't understand.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

As Torch and Gelik obliviously wander into the jungle, some strange-looking little Mwangi men appear, stepping unseen out of the foliage. They resemble ugly gnomes with grayishbrown skin and spindly arms, and they have spiked their hair and beards with lime. Their faces are painted to resemble leering skulls.

Two of them surround Torch and suddenly grow to a fearsome size, while a third, which is a little closer to you, gives Gelik a slash with its halberd for 6 points of damage.

You can roll for initiative, and then I'll fix the map.

male human oracle 5 (lore mystery, stargazer archetype, words of power)

1d20 - 4 ⇒ (20) - 4 = 16

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Init 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14. Are Gelik and I able to attack or is the trance still effective?

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

I missed the effect of Ralf's Alignment Shield. If Gelik does, in fact, get another save, here it is: will 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

init 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

Is the one attacking Gelik big (does it have reach)?

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Oh, and the Knowledge check to recognize the spriggans: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27

Female Human Fighter (Mobile) 5 HP:43/54 AC19/T13/FF16 (AC23vsAoO) Condition:

Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Map is up, sorry about the delay.

Torch recognizes the unpleasant figures as spriggans. The one attacking Gelik is still small, while Torch is flanked by two towering spriggans. Torch and Gelik can act as you please.

You all beat their initiative so go get them. You're in the jungle so all squares are difficult terrain.

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Aerys, do you have any way to move at full speed through difficult terrain?

male human oracle 5 (lore mystery, stargazer archetype, words of power)

Ralf hits the spriggan next to Gelik and one of the spriggans next to Torch with a Boosted Line Discordant Note (60' line area effect).

5d4 ⇒ (3, 4, 3, 1, 3) = 14 sonic damage plus staggered for one round, Fort DC 17 for 1/2 damage and negate the staggering

No, just normal type of rules apply at her normal speed.

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

Gelik takes a 5' step back from his opponent.

Nimble Moves feat allows 5' of difficult terrain as normal movement, so there shouldn't be an attack of opportunity.

He then casts a quick spell into the little bugger's face.

Color Spray (DC 16), School - illusion (pattern) [mind-affecting]; Range 15 ft. cone-shaped burst, Saving Throw Will negates; Spell Resistance yes

5 or more HD: The creature is stunned for 1 round.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Gelik's opponent resists the swirling colors but is struck by the discordant sound and staggered. The other spriggan fares better.

Torch and Aerys still to go.

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Difficult terrain makes this a rather unpleasant situation, but oh well.

Torch turns toward the spriggan Ralf managed to wound and follows up with blade and fist.

Full attack. Scimitar 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25, damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10; crit confirm 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18, crit damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8; cestus 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11, damage 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Female Human Fighter (Mobile) 5 HP:43/54 AC19/T13/FF16 (AC23vsAoO) Condition:

Aerys unsheaths her weapon and moves as quickly as possible to Torch's aid, hoping to get into a flanking position with her fighting friend.

Heading for F,15, will accept AoOs from big one on the way over there.

Male Human (mostly) Ex-cleric and Grumpy Cat

Aerys is suddenly intercepted by a fourth spriggan (the one with the bell), who steps out of a bush and stabs her for 11 points of damage, and then grows to a fearsome size, as does Gelik's opponent.

Torch's two foes grin cruelly as they slice and dice him between them, their enormous halberds well nigh impossible to avoid in his cramped position. He takes a horrifying 39 points of damage from the slashing blades.

You are all up.

male half-elf ranger (guide) 2 / rogue 3

Oh, hey. I'm at 6hp and have no way out of the flank without provoking. I wonder what I should play next?

Torch barely registers the massive wounds at first, so quickly do they cut and slash at him. He looks down though, and thinks, "That's quite a lot of blood. I really don't think I hit him that hard..." just before he staggers slightly and nearly falls over. Forcing himself to stay upright, he focuses his full attention on the wounded spriggan, hoping to at least escape their trap before he dies.

Ranger's focus on the wounded one. Also, praying. Scimitar 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19, damage 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9; cestus 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19, damage 1d4 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

male human oracle 5 (lore mystery, stargazer archetype, words of power)

Ralf gives Torch a little boosted healing.

2d8 + 5 ⇒ (8, 2) + 5 = 15

Male gnome Sorcerer 5 (maestro bloodline) HP: 32/38 AC: 13/13/11 F+3 R+3 W+4

I am not digging our tactical situation.

Gelik continues using his Nimble Moves to put distance between himself and the giants (to H19). Feeling very tiny between these brutes, he nevertheless takes a stab at the monster to his east.

feeble spearing (longspear has 10' reach)1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 damage 1d6 ⇒ 3

Female Human Fighter (Mobile) 5 HP:43/54 AC19/T13/FF16 (AC23vsAoO) Condition:

Aerys immediately attacks the spriggan that caught her unawares, as she stares in disbelief as the creature grows before her eyes. She shouts in desperation, "Gelik, use your magic! Flame them or something!"

Longsword power attack 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 9 - 2 = 16
Longsword power damage 1d8 + 3 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 4 = 12

Can't say I'm overly impressed with our tactical situation either.
