Character creation: Character creation is different, but in a good way. Point buy is now 10 points, but straight up 1-to-1. Want to take that 10 to an 18? 8 points. It basically just means you don't have to dump a stat
Plus, much like the backgrounds in 5E, you choose a character theme along with your race and class that really helps with roleplay. It gives a +1 to a stat, as well as some abilities at levels 1/6/12/18.
Combat: You have more mundane options as a support/caster; you can provide covering or harrying fire, which is a ranged attack vs. AC 15, and you either provide a +2 to an ally's AC from attacks from that enemy, or the next ally gets +2 to hit that enemy.

Overall, you made 2113 GP as a group (that includes selling the gem, buying the wand, and the 1000 GP reward from the mayor).
When you return to Sandpoint, there is much celebration that the beast that has been slaughtering livestock has been defeated, and a feast is held in the town square.
The new thread is up!

Now that this is all wrapped up, I would like to say, you guys are really good rolepayers and I have learned a lot on how to be a better player from all of you. I have been a lurker since recruitment (I was a player missed the deadline). So thanks for the good read and good luck with the next adventure. I head it's pretty good!

Thanks for the kind words! Means a lot, this was my first time ever playing-by-post, and for someone who isn't terribly comfortable roleplaying in-character in real-life games, it's the perfect medium to be able to fully inhabit the character and roleplay to the best of my ability.
