Equipment modifications approved though at this point things are trickier, and I thought that was very punny of me.

Male Terra Priman Scientist 1

Will post after work, busy schedule these days. Feel free to DMPC as necessary.

Stranded on an alien world? Priority: bike ride.

No. Priority is to stabilize life support for short to medium term survival, which we seem to have achieved for now. Next we have to actually find out what's on the surface so that we can evaluate options for long-term survival such as obtaining or growing food, salvaging wreckage, building structures such as greenhouses or labs, and exploring the nearby area. Since constructing a full sized rover would almost completely drain the available materials in the pod, something like the trike will help bridge the gap, despite having far less capability compared to a rover.

Micaiah will build the Rover if it is needed to recover the wreckage.

The soil/air composition would be very valuable data. With it we can tell if we can grow vegetables, scrub O2, refine crafting materials, ect.

F Terra Priman Scientist / 1

I was only joking, Jack. In all seriousness, I believe seeing a professional like yourself on a tricycle would be a kodak moment though. I'll make sure to get it in panoramic standard, IR, and UV!

M Terra Priman CG Engineer L1 ***INACTIVE***

Things have gone very quiet around here... perhaps we should have let Micaiah make grenades inside the life pod after all. :)

Male Terra Priman Scientist 1

The weekend, I'm sure. Not everyone can post from home. :P Or there's other stuff that pops up.

Speaking of which, on the 28th-29th of this month, I will probably be unable to post. Just tossing that out there now before I forget.

Male Terra Priman Scientist 1

I will be at work most of the day today, so I won't be able to post until later this evening... Hope everything goes well in the interim.

I was also at a training weekend for camp, I imagine this has been a busy weekend for everyone.

Um, Friday was my last day of labs for the first semester, so I've spent the weekend bumming around, catching up on Game of Thrones, Arrow and some other TV shows I don't get time to watch normally, and hiking up the hill hoping to catch a view of the aurora australis. Not joy on that last one yet. I didn't even go into the uni today...

Just sayin'. :)

Lucky man, but I feel you for Game of Thrones. Today is my Season 3 day so I'll be viewing ep. 1 to 9.

Male Terra Priman Scientist 1

Shocking ender on #9. The news was talking about it today. But no spoilers from me.

Don't tell me, don't tell me, don't tell me... I'm at #6 now

Male Terra Primar Soldier

don't worry everyone just goes with the flow

F Terra Priman Scientist / 1

I won't watch the show, but reading the books, I can't say it was that much of a surprise. If it was acted well, one could see it coming!.

M Terra Priman CG Engineer L1 ***INACTIVE***

I'm just wondering what everyone thinks that Watch 27 should do next?

My two-cents worth;

Give the military characters a chance to shine by asking them to scout the area around the pod and investigate the beacon three miles away. Hopefully they can get some salvage while they are out and about, assuming no hostile opposition of any kind is encountered (Alien ruins infested with face-huggers, for example).

Meanwhile the science and techie types can start jury-rigging other equipment we will need and investigate possibilities for long term survival strategies like growing food (do we have seeds for crops onboard?), working on medical adaptations for us to survive in the planetary environment in which we're stuck, etc.

That's as far as my thinking takes me at the moment. Really i'm just waiting to see if Voice drops any plot bombs on us anytime soon. :)

I did drop the plot bomb =_= "Unrecognized Signal" wasn't big enough? Alright, where's my portable black hole generator...

M Terra Priman CG Engineer L1 ***INACTIVE***

Heh... yeah, sorry Voice. No need for the Black Hole generator... honest... don't go out of your way on my account... :p

F Terra Priman Scientist / 1

Indeed, the signal is something Michelle took to be rogue debris from the wreckage upon "landing," perhaps malfunctioning so the signal is not recognized. Paranoid as she might be, after the night without getting her throat slit, she's less suspicious of her crew now. Michelle also did not assume the signal was coming from some other group of humans or aliens as the humans would not want to be so close to a crashing ship and the odds of just happening to come across an alien signal? Well, she already closed her stats program, but there would be a lot of zeroes.

In indirect agreement with Jack, it probably will fall to the military types to take initiative. Even though I have a +3!

F Terra Priman Scientist / 1

Marco!

Polo! Indeed we do seem to be missing quite a large number of people at the present moment eh?

AC: 17 T: 13 FF: 14 Fort:+3 Ref: +3 Will: +1

Polo!

Male Terra Priman Military 1

Been here, waiting to head outside lol.

M Terra Priman CG Engineer L1 ***INACTIVE***

I've been refraining from posting anything else so that folks like Allen, Gunny and Edmund can have some camera time IG. :)

AC: 17 T: 13 FF: 14 Fort:+3 Ref: +3 Will: +1

Steal all the camera time you like. My posting window seems opposite of most everyone else. I'm more than happy to be a bit quieter and broodier.

That said, we can get the expidition on the road tomorrow (Game time) if folks are up for it.

Though after today's fireworks, I don't know how soon anyone's going to want to spend a whole day outside the pod...

Ah there you all were... though Aden and Yogh are still unaccounted for. Alright, who pushed them out the airlock?

F Terra Priman Scientist / 1

Then it seems every is present this month except Macaiah and Yogh. Assuming nobody has storytime for any of them, we will need a creative mechanism to deal with their OoC casualty.

Perhaps drowning in otherworldly Lucky Charms?

AC: 17 T: 13 FF: 14 Fort:+3 Ref: +3 Will: +1

I'd say currently they're distracted. Yogh found something profoundly interesting in a Vexic story about something fairly similar to our current predicament.

Aden is... a distracted young person and has headphones in.

If one of them got distracted by RL, that's no reason to off their characters. They were both around less than 2 weeks ago. Life happens sometimes.

I won't be offing anyone. Worse case they fall ill to space plague and you lock em in the cryostasis chambers.

Male Terra Priman Scientist 1

I miss them. But if their lives are anywhere near as busy as mine, I can understand why they vanished.

In any case, feel free to pass the day and head out. I've got the exterior all set up.

M Terra Priman CG Engineer L1 ***INACTIVE***

Just to let you know, I probably won't be able to post for the next 36 to 48 hours. I have to go to hospital tomorrow for some minor surgery, and although I should be in and out within the day, I'll be on painkillers for the next few days and likely a little dopey from anesthetic. So please NPC Jack's actions as necessary until I post again. Sorry for the short notice.

M Terra Priman CG Engineer L1 ***INACTIVE***

Hi all. I have to be careful sitting down at the moment, thanks to several stitches in a delicate location, but I'm back. Sorry for the delay.

Male Terra Primar Soldier

Glad to hear you're recovering! and Welcome back~

Glad to hear from you again Jack. And no issues, we seem to have a loss of PCs at the moment so we're making due with who/what we have.

AC: 17 T: 13 FF: 14 Fort:+3 Ref: +3 Will: +1

Welcome back, Jack.

VitS, It might be worth botting the missing PCs until we get to a point that we can have 2 out posts. That way we can have some folks (those whose players disappear) off doing research / development off that-a-way.

You may have another plan, which is also cool.

Currently we only have Yogh and Aden who haven't posted very recently. Everyone else has been intermittent but it's summer and people have things to do I'm guessing.

And that works well. Yogh and Aden are currently working on some research doodad alright?

M Terra Priman CG Engineer L1 ***INACTIVE***

Kind of strange that Aden went AWOL; it had seemed as though she (he?) was the most enthusiastic poster...

And thanks folks.

Yeah I know, same here.

Male Terra Primar Soldier

Haha! Oschia the Osprey FINALLY makes a decent check with his best skill :D
I 'unno if it's useful, but it made me happy all the same.

AC: 17 T: 13 FF: 14 Fort:+3 Ref: +3 Will: +1

@Bossman: Should we consider opening up a bit of recruitment to give personality to the folks in the pods? I doubt we can just crack them open (unless people have some kind of survival kit in their pod). Perhaps every pod has a personal storage area along with an evac suit?

I just figured if we're shy some folks this might be a chance to fill the ranks.

Sooner than later we'll be able to have a second outpost (Hopefully on that outcropping) and maybe leave our drifters at the original pod.

Not really linked to the above: Any chance you've got any images of the world we're on, or images that call to what you're picturing?

@Gunny: It's a bit early trust me. You barely have supplies for yourselves, let alone for more.

I'm off for the evening but will return later tonight. Fear not, fear not.

F Terra Priman Scientist / 1

The suspense!

I'll be at my girlfriend's graduation ball so I'll be back Sunday evening.

I'll be posting tomorrow night. Paizo wasn't loading all night and I just got back from a long day of work. Rest easy friends.

AC: 17 T: 13 FF: 14 Fort:+3 Ref: +3 Will: +1

My kindle overheated and sort of exploded last night. I won't really have access to the internet outside of my phone for the next 4 days (after CoB today). I'll try to post over those days, but they'll be... concise posts.

Sounds good.
