Rashid: Thank you for pointing this out. I was taught and have always played incorrectly it seems. Or Perhaps this is one of those throwbacks to ye olden days of AD+D that still seem to pop up every now and then. Thank you for pursuing this and holding me accountable!! The tracker will be changed to reflect the 1 point NL dmg

I just realized I may have botched up my attack by probably not being in a place to do it. I'll leave it to GM to rule on what I did/didn't do LOL.

GM DevilDoc |

Calephe: It has been bugging me since you first signed up on my list that I knew you from somewhere.. I just couldn't figure out where! I finally figured it out! You and I played in DM Becket's Serpents Ire game! LOL! Mystery solved!

GM DevilDoc |

Yea it was! Kinda weird in a PbP format.. I think it would have been better at a table, but I always enjoy DM B's games.

![]() |

Not sure if its better to pull Dolvin over to this side of the river, or if we should try to push him to the other side so he can get to Janira. This minotaur is super dangerous for us wimpy level 1s, so it might be too risky...

![]() |

We could lure the minotaur across the river because I'm not sure Hskoro will be able to get across that log with his weighty armor. Get the minotaur to go toe to toe with Hskoro while someone agile gets to Janira to stabilize her.

![]() |

Luring him over makes sense to me. I'm just not sure how... my guess is that it doesn't understand common, because those insults I had Tellerin try fell on deaf ears.

![]() |

Ugh.... my last round, I was debating with myself to fight defensively or not. If I had, the minotaur would've missed and not incapacitate me. :(

GM DevilDoc |

Considering the placements of everyone and the 10' reach on the minotaur, I would suggest relying on your channeling ability from your side of the stream for the moment. Of course, this also depends on if you have selective channeling to exclude the minotaur.
If you get a running start, you need 10' of straight line to run and this lowers the jump DC to 10. Depending on how you move and where you jump from, this may or may not be a quick thing for you.

Uthraed |

Yeah I'm pretty mad at myself for not taking selective channeling. It's just so much of an investment with a dwarf who gets a -2 charisma. If we make it out alive ill have to change him up. Is the space directly south of Hskoro water or land?
Scratch that last part I think I made it work, and I believe I made my check.

Unfortunately caster level doesn't factor into the wand save DC. Save DC of wands is set by: DC = 10 + Spell level + minimum caster ability score modifier needed to cast the spell. For burning hands (even a CL3 burning hands) that's spell level 1 and CHA or INT 11. So DC = 11!
Waiiiiit a moment... *looks at own posts*
Oops! I think I managed to confuse myself into rounding up for my first use of the wand. Will fix going forward.
I don't think its mattered so far though.

GM DevilDoc |

According to a post from the Dev's, they now have a patch but they don't want to implement it until morning when site traffic is higher so that it can be tested properly. They seem pretty hopeful that things will be back up and normal here soon.

GM DevilDoc |

Yay!! I tried to log in yesterday afternoon, and the site was so slow that I could barely load my page, much less post anything. Glad everything is back to normal!

GM DevilDoc |

Unfortunately, my computer decided that it didn't want to work today, and is sitting at the repair shop. Hopefully tomorrow I will be back and rolling!

GM DevilDoc |

Good to hear, Rashid! I am glad you're back!
Got the computer back.. I guess I picked up some nasty viruses somewhere, but all is good now and running better than ever!

![]() |

That stinks about your computer, but glad it's back. I posted but then realized I was jumping way out of initiative order. I'll be checking frequently tomorrow so we don't get out of the rhythm.

GM DevilDoc |

Thanks, Dolvin.
As for the initiative order, you are currently Bold so go ahead and post. With PbP, we use "block" initiative to help with the fact that not everyone is going to be on anywhere near the same time as the rest of the table. If your name is in bold, you may post at any time, and I will sort out any issues that arise.

GM DevilDoc |

Ok guys, that wraps up The Confirmation.
Here are your chronicle sheets.
Also, if you wouldn't mind, please visit my feedback form and let me know what you think so far. I cannot progress as a GM without my players letting me know what they honestly thing about me and how I do things.
As soon as everyone posts that they are ready to go, we can start MoFF!

Awesome I gave you feed back and now I have started to make the changes to my character. First and foremost I knew that I needed selective channeling but in order to get that I need a CHA of 13... Not easy for a dwarf but I moved some stuff around and I am at a 14 now. I also adjusted my Con so I am receiving 2 more HP but my STR and DEX both took a hit, as if I needed it to be harder for me to make an acrobatics or swim check... In addition I noticed that the alt racial trait craftsman is actually illegal in PFS (I still would have been in the same day job tier with my roll of 23 fyi) so I took it out and replaced it with Lorekeeper and switched Craft for History. No more day job rolls for me. That was kinda long and I could have PM'ed you but I wanted the rest of the party to know how my character would be changing as we head into this next scenario. I'll also be making some kind of purchase but I'll let you know later.

![]() |

Did the feedback and Hskoro is ready to go.

![]() |

Feedback in and ready to go. Btw, if I want to buy something between PFS sessions (either with gold or prestige) do I need to tell you or a future GM that, or can I do that myself without any further oversight?
Also, thanks for the heads up Dolvin, I'd forgotten that we can make changes to characters at level 1.

GM DevilDoc |

Dolvin: Good to know. I hope this works out for you!! Thanks for the heads up.
Tellerin: The proper and official answer to that is this:
All purchases must be tracked on an Item Tracking Sheet and noted on a chronicle by the GM in the area provided at the bottom of the sheet. This can be the GM providing the chronicle sheet, or if purchased in between sessions, the GM at your next session should review the purchases/sales and countersign at that time.
Real answer: If you want me to countersign something, I would be happy to assist you with this. However in PbP this is largely taken on the honor system, although if your character is audited by a GM, it helps immensely to at least have everything noted on a chronicle/ ITS even if its not countersigned.
The reason for the discrepancy is this. In a PbP format, it can get pretty ugly having to trade files back and forth getting everything taken care of for six different people that may or may not be all over the world with entirely different time schedules, operating systems, and file formats. Add in the fact that most GM's are running multiple tables at any given time and things really become a chore. In a face to face game, it is no big deal to have someone hand me a sheet of paper, glance over it to be sure it looks good, then initial where needed and hand it back. Unless you are taking a character to play in an organized Con event, simply notating everything is more than most people do and will suffice. In the case of Con events, your experience may vary, but you should have all of your resources handy, and notations for your purchases and sales should be closely observed.
Short answer: If you want me to do it, let me know, otherwise you get the benefit of the doubt until something hinky gets noticed.

Sorry for more delays on my end - I was given a bunch of new projects for work, and so my time is limited. I'll get on reviewing the chronicle sheet and the GM feedback later today (Monday, April 3, USA EDT timezone).

![]() |

That is loot you can purchase when you have enough gold collected. Most can be purchased multiple times (like potions) and others will be listed as only be able to purchase once.
I believe there is a way to use your Prestige to buy stuff from your reward list, I haven't done it yet though and would need to look at the rules again.
There is a Tracking Sheet for stuff like that.

![]() |

Yeah, you consider the loot listed on your chronicle sheet as "unlocked for purchase", but have to use the gold reward from this and future scenarios to actually buy things off the sheet for your character (for the Confirmation we got 430 gp to spend, see upper right corner).

![]() |

You can use 2 Prestige points to purchase an item up to 750 GP. A lot of people buy a wand of cure light so they aren't dependent on others for healing. In PFS it's considered kind of rude to assume others will use their healing resources on you. Not saying you all should go buy a wand right now, but put it on the list.

![]() |

I went and bought a wand of bless for 2 PP between scenarios because I thought that would be helpful. Calephe was that wand a standard CLW or the one from the chronical sheet?

GM DevilDoc |

I apologize for my sudden absence. I have been extremely sick and had to be admitted to the hospital Monday. I got home this afternoon, so I should be back to a normal posting schedule. Thank you for your patience! Update will be coming soon.

Oh no, hope you are feeling better.

GM DevilDoc |

Thank you. I am certainly much better than I was monday... but then warmed death could probably beat that!!
