Round (10) Conclusion

Ostrogard: Using his quickness, Ostrogard begins ducking and dodging while bringing his cold-iron dagger to bear. The Charau-Ka quickly recognizes the threat and manages to turn to the side just in time to avoid the attack. (Miss, Fighting defensive +2 to defense)
Kardiv: Rapidly retrieving another arrow, the paladin fires at the grey square primate. The arrow catches the beast in its left shoulder causing it to howl in pain. (Hit -4 Lethal, Grey square is closest to you, so I am assuming there is a color discrepancy. Let me know if this is incorrect. Grey square is the one in front of Dumm. )
Dumm: Making note of the ape’s quickness, the barbarian carefully times his next attack. As the beast bounces about in a fit of rage, Dumm brings his massive sword into a sweeping sideways swing that catches the ape dead center. The blade severs the ape-man's spine and nearly cuts the creature in half. (Hit -16 lethal)
Stray Dog: Caught up in the excitement, the dog moves over to the green circle primate and attempts to bit the beast. The dog grabs hold of the primates leg, causing sever damage as it rips into the beast. After repeatedly shaking its head, the dog pulls the ape to the ground. (Hit -7 Lethal, Trip successful)

(Damage) Stray Dog vs Gray square: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Trip CMB: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Girzog: With the world beginning to spin, Girzog lashes out one final time. His claw manages to strike the Charau-Ka in the face, which causes a moderate splatter of blood. Immediately after the well placed attack, Girzog drops to the ground and begins bleeding. (Hit -3 Lethal)
Butharn: Taking a defensive stance behind his shield, the dwarven warrior buckles down and takes a cautious swing. The Charau-Ka dodges back in time to avoid the heavy axe then regains its crazed like stance. (Miss) Fighting defensive +2 to defense
Jinhong: Taking an empathetic view of her opponent, Jinhong begins jabbing down at the black square monkey-man in a way that will not cause permanent damage. The Charau-Ka seems too caught up in his own rage to notice the swashbucklers attempt to scare him away. (Miss)

Juliet: Looking over at Butharn, Juliet nods her understanding of the warriors situation. Carefully working her blade into an over-head swing, she attempts to aid the dwarf defensively. (Aid another sucessful, Butharn +2 to AC this round)

Girzog, NO!!!

Jinny cries out as the resolute Tengu goes down bleeding. She jumps nimbly down to stand over him and face the Charau-Ka responsible.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

She strikes out to cause maximum pain without killing the dumb beast.

He steps forward and swings at one of the two remaining apes nearby.

I just realized that unchained barbarians have to wait a minute before raging again no matter how short it was. Guess that's out then. On my phone, please put me and the dog on either side of dead green.

Seeing Girzog go down, Ostrogard redoubles his efforts against the crazed ape man. Attacking the creature with his dagger, he continues to use a defensive technique he learned from some pirates on the Sellen River.

Ost attacks, fighting defensively. Since my attack falls in initiative after Girzog went down but before Jinny attacks, I assume I am not flanking for my attack and therefore do not get sneak attack dice.

attack: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (8) + 6 - 4 = 10

Miss, again, but my AC is still 21 for this round.

Round (11) Conclusion

Ostrogard: Being cautious, the small rogue lashes out with his small dagger, but fails to connect.(Miss, +2 to defense)
Kardiv: launching an arrow through the fray, the paladin takes special caution not to hit any of his allies. The arrow finds its intended mark and causes the ape to scream out. (Hit -4 Lethal)
Dumm: Brining his sword down into another massive blow, the barbarian knocks the black-square primate to the ground. Unmoving the beast now lays limp and unresponsive. (Hit -15 lethal)
Stray Dog: With the black-square primate now out of the way, the stray dog moves over to the red-square primate and bits the beast on its leg. (Hit -4 Lethal)

Girzog: Still bleeding the Tengu lay motionless on the ground. (Stabilize failed -1 Lethal)
Butharn: Takes a moment to consider his options. (Delayed) Can act at any time.
Jinhong: Working her blade into a dance of steel, the swashbuckler strikes the primate with the flat of the blade. (Hit -2 Nonlethal)

Juliet: Moving over to the red-square primate, the camps leader brings a massive looking sword overhead and then brings it down into a deadly arc. The blade strikes the remaining primate, splitting its head open. (Hit-12 Lethal)

(Attack): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
(Damage): 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (5, 6) + 1 = 12

Charau-Ka: The defending guards manage to turn back what is left of the primates, leaving only a few remaining within the camp. Those that remain seem overcome with exhaustion and stand looking about for a path to escape.

End of Combat

CONCLUSION

With the charau-ka and their champion defeated, the remnants of the ape-men flee back into the jungle, giving the excavation site its first relative peace in 10 months. With most of the camp either wounded or sick, Dias fears she may have to bury the site and take the key with her back to Absalom. Regardless, she thanks you profusely for your timely help. She promises to report to her venture captain that the success at Azlant Ridge was due in no small part to your efforts.

The Aspis agents that survived the battle are given (1) hour to recover before escorted out of the camp.

Over the next several days, Dias guides the camp through packing and loading the caravan wagons to head for the coast and catch a vessel bound for Absalom. She packs away the key and the monolith control device. She then has the camp workers bury all signs of their dig, including triggering a rock fall to rebury the door to the Azlanti complex.

Sensing that the famed Black Star Brotherhood may be going their separate ways, Jinny with a monumental effort avoids bursting into tears as she kisses each one one the cheek.

I will love you all, always.

Thanks for convincing us to continue, GM. Well done and well executed by all. Very entertaining.
