You are several days northwest of Bloodcove—days of dusty, dirty running and riding as your wagoner, the scoundrel Raimondo Scevola, whipped his horse to go faster, faster!
Closing in behind you, no more than an hour by horse, ride a large force of Aspis mercenaries. Your activities in Bloodcove, it seems, were not as secret as you hoped.
After days of bumping around, in the back of an overly cramped wagon, Scevola finely brings the wagon to a slower pace. After looking back over his shoulder a couple times, he turns to the group. "It looks like we have put enough distance between ourselves and the consortium. I think they have given up the chase. I don't know about you, but I could use a small rest." As Scevola finishes his statement, he brings the wagon to a slow stop. "By the looks of it, I think the horses have taken all they can. I'm going to give them a moment to rest." After setting the wagon's brake, Scevola climbs out of the wagon and begins to water down the horses.
The wagon now sits in front of a fallen tree and is surrounded by a shrub covered landscape. The grassy knolls that dot the landscape are separated by shallow dirt ditches that pose a small challenge for the wagon and the horses. It is now dusk and the humidity has increased with your distance from the coast, even with the waning sun.
I will have an update as soon as everyone has populated over.

Jinny pokes through the inventory idly, finding a silken rope that she fancies and paying Scevola the fair market price.
She sidles up to Ostrogard slyly.
Do you know a knot that will keep this attached to a bedpost for an hour or two? They always slip off too soon.

Approximately an hour into the rest, two groups of riders bolt out from behind a distant grassy knoll. Carful in their approach, it was difficult for the group to hear their approach. Surprise Round Conclusion
Environmental: any square that is 50% or more covered by a shrub, provides partial cover (+2 to AC, and +1 to reflex save) and requires a double move to pass through. The fallen tree provides the same, while the wagon can, depending on your position, provide total cover.
The men on horseback bolt into sight of the group, then take a moment to observe the situation.
Ostrogard: The small rogue pulls out a flask and prepares to throw it at a rider.
Girzog: The Tengu fires his composite longbow at one of the mounted archers. The arrow strikes the man's left thigh, which causes him to scream out in pain. Best line of sight is going to be on blue. (Hit -5 Lethal)
Kardiv: The paladin takes a quick shot at one of the riders, but is distracted by the onset of an additional group from the East. (Miss)

Whew! That was close. That could have taken my head off!
Jinny bounds over the fallen log and climbs into the cart, looking for a braceable weapon like a spear, bill, glaive, etc., and a longbow and arrows.
Didn't I see them when I was looking for the rope?
As she does this, she keeps an eye on the leader, preparing an Opportune Parry and Riposte if he comes near.
@GM, can I OP&R his horse instead of him? If so, that's my plan.
I would also OP&R any other rider who comes near if that's possible.
Anybody need a better weapon?

Noticed you took out the northeast guy. I've been attacking southwest. Of that teal is dead, then I'm firing on pink instead.
Well originally I was applying your attack to blue, which was located to the west. The confusion came when you specifically stated teal, which is a greenish blue color...LoL. Anyway, I switched the damage to green, thinking that's what you where aiming for. If it matters, I can adjust the damage back to blue. Green? Blue? Which one is teal? Well you are a Tengu, after all. Oh and just for the record, the other one is truly pink. Its a girl archer ).
Ill have an updated post, a little later tonight.
Girzog

I don't know what I was seeing, but I could swear the West was teal. Yes that western blue is who I want the damage going to. In a smaller group I wouldn't care, but against 10 mounted opponents making sure the right people get damaged makes a difference :)
So, to be clear. The light blue who is 4 spaces in from the left edge of the image, exactly one space southeast of his dark blue X of origin. I want him dead. I want his family dead!
Also, I love Google Docs. I'm watching Ostrogard move around right now lol

Ranged Touch attack: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 4 = 18
Alchemist Fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Range touch attack aginst nearest archer (pink) I figured range at 25', so at 10' range increment, I took that as a -4 to hit. Also, does the horse take 1 splash damage?
If the horseman doesn't put the flame out, he/she takes another d6 of damage next round. It is a dc15 reflex save to douse the flames.

Round (2) Conclusion
(Girzog’s damage has been applied to the blue archer. It is apparent that these are Aspis agents based on their actions. The blue archers attack has been retroactively switched to the green archer, with a similar result. Also, in the stats bar, I see it says Butharn is 19/22. He has had time to heal since scenario 1, so he should be maxed on HP.)
Ostrogard: Ostrogard quickly moves up and takes cover in one of the nearby shrubs. Without delay he lobs a vial over the shrub and at one of the mounted archers (Pink). (Hit -4 lethal, Burning) (The horse takes 1 point of damage as well.)
Girzog: The Tengu draws another arrow and fires at one of the mounted archers. (Hit -4 Lethal, seeing the blue archer has fallen, which would you like to apply this damage to?)
Kardiv: As the lanced rider makes his ride-by attack on Jinhong, the paladin quickly fires two arrows in succession. The first arrow glances of the riders thick chain overcoat, but the second shot burrows deep into the man’s side. (AoO-Miss, 2nd attack Hit -6 Lethal)
Dumm: The large barbarian twirls his sling faster and faster. Once the small leather sling reaches its maximum speed, Dumm flings the little metal bullet towards the (Pink) mounted archer. The bullet nearly strikes the rider, but fails to make contact and skitters off into a shrub. (Miss)
Jinhong: The swashbuckler barley manages to duck the lanced rider’s attack, then bolts for the back of the wagon. Taking cover in the wagon, she begins opening a sealed crate. (There are some miscellanies weapons within the wagon. Most of them are in sealed crates. I will give you a 50% chance of finding a spear, and another 50% chance of finding a long bow with arrows, the following round. That’s assuming you wish to keep looking. 1-50 you don’t find a spear this round, 51-100 you find a spear this round. If you fail to find a spear, you can continue looking the following round with the same chance of finding one.)
(Jinhong) Chance to find a spear: 1d100 ⇒ 43 <--No spear this round
Butharn: The sturdy dwarf sees the (pink) mounted archer become engulfed with flame and seizes the opportunity to close the distance. Quickly he bolts over to the mounted archer and takes a heft swing. (Miss)

Where is it??? Did someone rearrange these just to confound me?
I had no idea it would be so hard to find a weapon in the wagon after poking around it earlier doing some random shopping. I thought hafted weapons and longbows would be big enough to see quickly, and I thought it would be possible to look for either type simultaneously. Ah, well, the best laid plans...

Round (3) Conclusion
Girzog’s round one damage has been applied to the pink archer.
Ostrogard: The small Halfling crawls out of one of the shrubs and sprinkles some caltrops on the ground. After looking at the location he has chosen, he feels that the placement was a reasonable choice. (I marked the location for the caltrops with a black icon. If this is not where you intended to place them, go ahead and move them at your leisure.)
Girzog: The Tengue rushes up to the lanced rider and lashes out at the man’s horse with one of his unoccupied talons. As the Tengue tries to rake the mount, its rider quickly maneuvers to avoid the damage. (Miss do to a successful mounted combat skill check.)
Lanced Rider’s (Ride Check): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 (To avoid the damage to his mount)
Kardiv: While taking carful aim, the experienced paladin fires an arrow just over the Tengu’s head, which strikes the lanced rider’s left arm. Blood begins to trickle down the man’s chain armor as he struggles to remain in control of his mount. (Hit -8 Lethal)
Dumm: The mighty barbarian reloads a little chuck of iron into his sling. Once again the man begins twirling the sling as fast as he can, then releases the small chuck of iron towards the purple archer. A loud crack echoes through the area, as the little chunk of iron smashes into the rider’s head with an unbelievable amount of force. The man’s eyes roll up into the back of his head, as he falls from his mount. (Hit -8 Lethal)
Jinhong: having no luck retrieving the desired weapon from the wagon, the swashbuckler loads up her sling and fires a well-placed bullet towards the white mounted archer. The chunk of iron strikes the man in the face, causing him to cover his head instinctively. As the man recovers from the impact, Jinhong can see the man’s face begin to swell up. (Hit -4 Lethal)
Butharn: (Pink Archer has been slain by Girzog’s attack in round (1). She is now laying on the ground dead and burning. If Butharn would like to change his round 2 action, he may do so.)
Lanced rider: The lanced rider maneuvers desperately to retain control of his mount, as the Tengu threatens serious injury to the beast. The horse bucks and struggles against its rider, leaving no time for anything else other than staying in the saddle.
(Ride skill check) to control the mount: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
